My name is Abigail Summers, and I’m addicted to sex. Yes, you read right. I’m a woman that craves… no, needs to have a man take my body on a daily basis. If I don’t have sex at least once a day, my body shakes from withdrawals, my stomach cramps with unbearable pain, my sexually hazed mind goes haywire, and I become extremely irritable and a major bitch. This isn’t a lifes ...more

Buddy read with Kiki and Leonor

None of us is the picture, but that's not the point ;-)

Wait, Leonor just said she were the one with the dog, Kiki loves flowers, and where does it leave me??? I don't even like green… shoes…

This book was my idea… Yep. Apart from being the one with green shoe fetish, I’m also a proud slutty member of our weird collaboration. It’s not even a bit offensive, why hide the truth? I mean Kiki was, is and always remains the psychopath to our merger, so why shall I compl

Abby is a sex addict. For her, sexual activity provides an intense, intoxicating euphoria or “high” while lacking any genuine emotional connection, intimacy, or love. It’s a temporary escape. Her frequent one-night stands with strangers or her three best friends who are different types of sex addicts feed her addiction but leave her feeling cheap and lonely. Her wants are suppressed for a short time and then her desires are back in full force. Until she meets one particular man, Colt, and her li ...more

This is not the type of book I would typically read as the heroine has a sexual addiction. To me sexually addiction and romance do not mix much less the fact that I do not want to read about the heroine and/or hero having sex with OP after being with each other. However I am glad that I read it and the main reason was because of the hero Colt.

SPOILERS INCLUDED BELOW

While Cole is not perfect, to me he is the ideal hero. He was crazy about the heroine Abigail, willing to do anything for her. He w

Wow! Talk about embracing outside of one's comfort zone! I honestly did not know what to expect when I began this journey. My taste in genres range from dark mafia to erotic horror with very little room for leeway. With that I wasn't sure how to approach Always Wanting.

Let me assure you rather minimum or maximum preparation, Abby's journey will slay you. I've never had a personal experience with addiction of any kind. I've never experienced empathy for those with addictions because I've felt it'

I was looking for an Alexa Riley replacement but with a full novel (no novella). Always Wanting is about the Heroine addicted to sex. She actually goes through withdraws if she doesn’t have sex once a day.

It was a good book to pass the time. There were some slow moments which I skimmed and a lot of descriptive writing which I skimmed. I was more interested with her interactions with the Hero (duh) and sometimes her friends which they will have their own books.

I’ll give another book a go.

DNF @ 40%.

I knew going in that the h is a sex addict. But once I started reading it, that was not the case. She experiences physical pain if she does not have sex daily. So for the past 8 years, EVERYDAY she has sex with a stranger. While hypersexuality is real what the h has is not a real disorder. Plus, there are definite drugs that could help alleviate the symptoms if it was real.

The only times I've encountered sexual addiction was in 2 movies, which were quite brutal in their portrayal- Nymphomaniac (which is approximately 6 hours of craziness with a severely addicted woman) and Shame (where Michale Fassbender is the addict and you can see his massive, Jordan Silver-worthy ****, in case you haven't seen it:) ). In this book, the heroine is the addict and her addiction is quite severe, and although I'm not sure if I completely believed it, I still think it was pretty wel ...more

This book really had me turning the pages, devouring it, embracing the characters and their struggles. Since the book deals with sex addiction, get ready for A LOT of amazing scenes that’ll warm you from the inside out.

The author has taken on a very obscure disease and brought it to the forefront. Hypersexual disorders are not well documented nor are they understood. Some readers may struggle with the content and the choices that they make but consideration needs to be taken to understand the di

Welp, taking a gander at the reviews makes it fairly clear that you either love Always Wanting, or in my case, you're left... well, wanting. Ha, see what I did there? Now, I'm not saying this isn't written well, technically speaking. It's fine. But the story itself? Meh. This story has a lot going on, but in the sam

Awesome!! Alex Grayson does it again!! Dirty, gritty and highly erotic, this book was hands down a must read. Well written with likeable characters, this unique subject was handled beautifully.
Abby is a sex addict, who struggles with the aftermath of loneliness, and feelings of worthlessness after her active participation in her sex addiction. When she meets Colt, he awakens something in her that encourages her to change her ways. Their banter was delicious and their sex scenes were devilishly d

Probably one of the hottest books I’ve ever read....wow!!!

Ms. Grayson always amazes me with her unique writing and intuitive imagination.

Got to get my thoughts together first on this book and how the author executed the storyline before I write my review...

This story deals with addiction – fighting to stay in control – fighting to not want – fighting to do what is right instead of what you want – fighting to not claim what you crave – the addiction in a sexual manner. Yes – a sex addict. And her name is Abigail Summers.

Just with any other addiction Abigail needs to fulfill her cravings daily – sometimes more than once. Her nerves go on edge, her mind goes into a tail spin and functioning becomes almost impossible.

WOW. The author has written an amazing book that deals with Hypersecual Disorder while at the same time giving the reader an awesome story (which by the way is a Real Disorder). This story will tug at your heartstrings at all the things Abby and her friends have endured. But it will also warm your heart at the lengths Abby's friends and Colt, the guy that wants to be her one and only, are willing to to help her. The characters are so well written that you will feel every ounce of pain and every ...more

I didn't even know that hypersexual Disorder was a real thing so I googled it......its her much real! The way Alex has written this book is amazing. The emotions Abby suffers the need and pull of a mans touch the highs and lows, the pain Abby feels and I can't even imagine the feeling. Wow just simply wow.

This is the first book I have read for Alex Grayson and it will not be my last. I will with out a doubt recommend this book and author. I can't wait to read more of Alex's work.

Always Wanting is the story about two soul mates who find each other.

Abby suffers from a hypersexual disorder and needs the touch of a man daily or she experiences severe pain. She's seen doctors and she's tried support groups, but in the end Abby tries to handle her condition on her own. Well not really on her own. Her best friends Ava, Tegan and Nathan met at a support group and all suffer from the same disorder, each with different symptoms. The four of them look out for each other and are ve

I received a copy of this book in a giveaway and have volunteered to leave a review. The storyline intrigued me, a woman with an addiction to sex who slept with countless men and could never see herself having a relationship and who had distanced herself from her family due to the shame she felt. Abby may have appeared a weak character to many but to me she was the epiphany of strength. To suffer with an addiction that some would feel she made up and to be made to feel at times that she should b ...more

Outstanding! It's rare to read a five star book but Always Wanting had it all.

The desire to feel loved and wanted is difficult for Abby to acknowledge. She's moved through life accepting the hand she's been dealt. Yet, when Colt enters her life, all she's known has been stripped from her. New boundaries are formed and a better way of coping keeps Abby focused and feeling more secure. The cover says it all. It showcases Colt's ability to protect, love and keep Abby safe. He's caging her in and i

I don’t do relationships, because what man wants to be stuck knowing his girl may be out having sex with some random guy if he’s not available? You may think this is something that I can control, but I say screw you; you’ve never been in my shoes before.
The cravings may be something I can’t control, but I’ve learned to embrace them. I’ve tried the sexual addiction support groups. I’ve tried curbing my appetites. I’ve been shunn

I have to say I was nervous before I started this book. It's odd but in a world filled with "slut shaming" and ridiculously one sided views on sex, I was worried I'd be judgy (totally a new word. Webster's will soon be adding it). I don't know whether I've read too many naughty romances or what but, I was empathetic not judgemental.

To most people the idea of sex daily is pretty awesome. ( My hand is totally raised on that one.) However the difference between wanting and needing is very different

Holy-Flipping-Panty-Melting-Crap!

First off…. DIBS! DIBS! DIBS! DIBS! on Colt. MINE! (It is now in print and has to be true because well, the rules of the internet say so.”

Anyway…. Always Wanting left me wanting more and more of this sinfully, sexy story about sex addiction. Abby’s plight really shocked me because while I had heard about sex addiction, I had never truly understood what it was like for the person inflicted with it. I’ll wholeheartedly admit that I even did some Google research

3.5 Not your conventional romance stars.

I won't go into the premise of the book, that can be read in the blurb. I have to say this was one of the most unique loves stories I have read in a while. I liked that it pushed the envelope a bit and gave you a glimpse of what it is like to be a sex addict. It isn't pretty, and I felt the author was realistic in her portrayal of the disorder, she didn't sugar coat it. I think most people snicker when they hear the term "sex addict", but it's anything but

Alex Grayson was brand new to me a few months back and I made it my mission for that to totally change... and honestly I am so glad I did. Her books have become quite addicting, just like her plots (ha! see what I did there)! I love reading her words because they have an edginess that just keeps you literally on the edge of your seat while reading.

I have never read a book like this before, nor have I ever heard of hypersexual disorder. This was in interesting read, to say the least. Very well written, the story flowed fairly well, although at times I felt it was a little repetitive and sometimes it was just a little slow at times. The disorders of each of Abby's friends were well described.

Abby, well she needs sex, no...she has to have it or she suffers terrible physical reactions until she gets it. This disorder seems to have a debilita

I can honestly say I've never read a book like this before the subject matter is not one I've come across.
Abigail is a sex addict, full disclosure here I'm one of those people who would roll their eyes and scoff when I here that statement but I had no real understanding of it. Abigail is literally in pain when she goes without, she gets cramps and the shakes the only thing I can liken it to is the pain from addiction withdrawal.
Yes there is a lot of sex in the book but for me that's not what ma
