Magic and Mayhem #4

Magically Delicious

Rate this book
What does a hungry, pregnant witch do when her whole freaking town goes on a no carb diet?

I’ll tell you what. She goes on the sly and conjures up some anchovy-chocolate chunk cookies dipped in hot sauce—that’s what.

Of course my cheating gets complicated when all of the magic in the world goes on the fritz. To solve that particular wrinkle, I’ll have to finally find the source of the lurking evil.

Easier said than done. Maybe if I wasn’t pregnant and starving, I could deal with the nasty old witch who resides in a gingerbread house. Add in carb eating fairies who speak French and three rotund familiars who enjoy defacing property with profane graffiti, and what you get is almost more trouble than I can handle in my baby baking condition.

I’m still not convinced I won’t be giving birth to puppies since the smokin’ hot father of my babies is a werewolf, and NO ONE has given me ANY concrete proof to the contrary. Getting knocked up by the werewolf of my dreams was all kinds of awesome in practice, but the reality of becoming a mother scares me more than Baba Yaga’s horrendous 1980’s wardrobe.

Monstrous decisions with enormous ramifications are best handled with meticulous planning—or in my case—after eating a giant mustard slathered jelly doughnut. Neither of those options is possible at the moment, but since there is no way I’m bringing my children into a magicless world, winging it will just have to work.

Wait… Was that a contraction I just felt?

Goddess help us all…

THE REVIEW

Why this book?
I love this series

What I thought

Let me start off by saying I love Robyn Peterman. Her books can cure a bad mood and brighten up a sad day. I have no idea how she gets her ideas but she's a genesis. This book was another amazing book of her's! It's like all her other books "hilarious", I laughed so hard my stomach hurt! I love the characters Zelda,Fabio,Mac even those 3 fat cats i'm seriously thinking of going and buying a fat cat to name Fat Bastard! This book was full of craziness and Ho Ho's (you'll understand when you read the book). As for the plot it was very entertaining and I wouldn't change a thing. If you're looking for some fun definitely check this series out.

It’s in the details

I love this series, but I have always felt that if an author was writing fiction, especially fantasy or sci fi, they had to create a whole universe. And in order to make it believable, the rules they made for this universe have to be consistent.
I know it’s only a little thing that she made the evil goop blue in the first two books and then changed it to green, but it is something that threw me out of the story.
I still enjoy the series but I hope that there aren’t any more details that will get changed.

I was a loose cannon on a good day. 5 GOLD HO HOs

Starving and loaded with strange puppy hormones, I was a magical disaster waiting to happen. The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry… or in my case, witches and Ho Hos. Oh. My. Goddess!! Great Goddess in a banana hammock, Robyn has done it again! What in the Goddess’s name does that even mean? Well Sassy, that means that THIS BOOK IS SOOOO MAGICALLY DELICIOUS and it's carb free!!! Perfectly safe for your chestercall and barn!!! Yes, by the love of all that’s magical, MAGICALLY DELICIOUS is truly one ABSO-GODDESS-LUTELY ROBYNTACULAR BOOK!! Goddess, you think of everything! From light humor to laugh out loud humor, insanely crazy hilarious to pee myself HIL-FREAKIN'-ARIOUS humor! There's tender moments, loving moments, WTF ones and HOLY HOTDAMN hotter than Hades in July ones too! And don't forget the moments that made me cry! Seriously Robyn?? Not even finished chapter 3 when the waterworks started! And I'm not expecting babies, puppies or anything beyond a great Robyn Peterman book, of course! wink I have to confess that I said a quick prayer to the Goddess to ensure that she knows I love, Love, LOVE her books and that I hope she plans to continue to write them until she is as least as old as Baba Yopaininmybutt! I need - NEED I tell you! - to find me my own Mac so I can get Lucky and Charm him out of his paann.. ttt..sss... CRAP! Was that in my outside voice?? Robyn is one ABSO-TWINKIE-LUTELY phenomenally talented author who is truly genuinely gifted enabling her to skilfully & expertly blend it all together to create beautiful & SPELLTASTIC stories time and time again! "The Goddess has truly blessed you"! Not that you need it, but you have been blessed all the same! I read a lot - like 300 books a year lot - and while some are as equally funny or just as hot, and yes, they captivate me too, these books of Goddess Robyn's with all of their Quirks, Oddities, Peculiarities, Eccentricities, Freakishly weird and FREAKIN' SPELLTACULAR storylines, characters and Magically Deliciousness, capture my heart and completely, wholly, utterly consume me mind, body, heart & soul as if I was the very last Ho-Ho in front of Zelda! Sweet Goddess on a bender, this was difficult. Never have I had such a problem writing a review for a ?FABU book without giving ANYTHING away!!! *ahem* I hope you don't mind me "borrowing" all of these lines from you Robyn! I couldn't resist! Not that I tried, but I DID think about it... briefly... VERY freakin’ briefly!) Who needs Lucky and Charm when I have a BRAND SPANKIN' NEW Robyn Peterman book with Zelda, Mac, and all of their freakishly weird friends & family! AND a gift from the Goddess.

One of my fav series as first book of the New Year, and it didn't let me down. It was as hilarious as the rest of the series, and I loved it!

As for a review, okay I get Zelda is pregnant, but what was with the food? I get it pregnant women have weird cravings, but this was to the extreme. Seriously she was eating some disgusting stuff. I can't blame Fabio from trying to get her to stop by getting carbs banned. Which started everything. Zelda of course believes she can't live without her carbs. So she immediately make plans with Sassy to break the ban and pig out. She decides to do this while the shifters take her to a special berry patch in a wrinkle of time. After flying off, and then feeling bad she finds out she's lost and runs into a Gingerbread house, and ends up eating part of it. Yep she eats a house! Which leads to all kinds of trouble. I don't want to say much more, because it will spoil the book for you, but another funny edition to the series.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Our favorite witch has one heck of an appetite and a town full of shiters who need her, a lot of pee-yourself-hilarious moments that had me wiping tears of mirth from my eyes and our sexy shifter who is yummy and sexy and who has no problem showing his love to his pregnant mate. This series is outrageously fun and full of surprises and full of laughs and will no doubt, put a giant smile on your face! I can't seem to get enough of these books by Miss Peterman. She knows how to write a story SO FUN and SO GOOD, you will BEG and PLEAD for more! I love this series and enjoy every quirk and outrageousness that comes with it because its always a joy to read...again and again. Robyn....GIVE ME MORE!

I feel like every time I review one of Roybn Peterman's books I say the same thing over and over, using a variety of words, but somewhere in the review, I will say... I laughed so hard I cried. Here is the thing, I keep coming back because I love the characters, I love the craziness of the stories and I love to laugh.

Zelda is pregnant with twins and she and Baba Yotoomanynamestocount have to save the magic in Asshat WV and maybe even the rest of the world. All of our favorite characters are back and a few new ones too.

When the world is going crazy around us, take a break and visit another world, one that is so much crazier than real life, but you may just feel better after taking a break. :)

Zelda and the gang are back!!!
The good news is Zelda is about to blow out a couple of puppies. The bad news that lurking evil is back and throwing off everyone's magic.
This is never a good thing when a hungry and hormonal Witch is involved. Now throw in a gingerbread house and carb eating fairies. My goodness!
One of the funniest books to hit my Kindle!!! 10 STARS!!!

Wouldn't it be magical if every pregnancy went like Zelda's lol
So Zelda and Mac are expecting twins. Zelda is convinced she is going to blow out puppies, Mac keeps assuring her they will be normal babies!!! really these kids have Zelda's dna in them normal will not be in the equation at all ... lol I so can't wait to find out how Mac copes with Zelda and 2 kids who are bound to be mini Zelda's its going to be awesome but that is in the future for this Magically Delicious story Zelda has not yet popped the pups...... Well not quite yet.
This story is a mutherhumping pissass hilarious adventure with loads of surprises and heaps of profanity along the way, Robyn Peterman is at her hilarious best I really, really love it when this woman puts pen to paper as always it's highly entertaining.

I always get an extra good workout when reading one of Robyn's books because i laugh so hard from beginning to end my sides hurt.

My favourite Sassyism from this story 'Eating non-processed, organic vegetables and fruits lowers your chestercall and is good for your barn.' Sassy always cracks me up.

And as always Mac is adorable especially when talking about his 'Bon Jovi' my favourite Mac line from this story 'Well, I put my Bon Jovi in your little red riding hood and then...' He started explaining clinically with a shit eating grin on his face.'

My tummy hurts, my eyes are watery, my cheeks hurt, my throats even feels hoarse. Sounds like the flu or a bad allergy season, when in truth, I just finished reading another hysterical addition to the Magic and Mayhem world. Each time I wonder, how is it even possible that this unique brand of humor never gets boring! Each book is so very unique! Between the pregnancy cravings and Lucky and Charm, my poor husband probably thought I was watching SNL on my kindle! There is no doubt in my mind that anyone, and I mean anyone, who reads this book will be smiling and laughing yourself through the pages! This voluntary review is based against an advance copy.

blow out puppies.

I completely forgot there had to be something bad coming up, was so amused at Zelda. One phrase reminded me of a sister in law and her husband. (Twins' birth) I forget how much fun it is to read Robyn Peterman's books. Thank you for some light in a trying time!

Just gets better.

Magic and confusion go hand in hand with this book. Fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, daughters and just about every other familial relationship you can think of is pretty well covered.

What do you get when you have a strong witch that is also having cravings for all things carb related. A sexy wolf shifter mate who is her mate and a town that is also staying off carb . You get one cranky ass witch that can smite your butt at a moments notice . Meet Zelda and Mac and the rest of the town of Assjacket. Zelda is pregnant with twins and is one starving witch and will do anything to get those carbs . Even battle an old witch with a gingerbread house and carb eating fairies that only speak French . Will Zelda survive her pregnancy and survive the evil that is coming .

I must say these are my favourite characters, I love Zelda and Mac . Zelda is such a saucy character . I love her quick wit and smart wise cracking fly by the seat of her pants woman . She is trying to be a good girl but the carbs or the lack of them is making her cranky . She is such a fun character to read . I love her and her wise cracking attitude. Mac is her mate and one sexy alpha wolf shifter . Who is being sweet and kind with his mates pregnancy . He is trying to keep her calm and happy . Also trying to keep his Bon Jovi from being blown off . You have to read the book to find out . Its pretty funny actually what you can do with a ho ho . The rest of the gang is back . Sassy and Jeeves and the rest of the shifters . All trying to keep Zelda happy as they are suffering from the lack of carbs in their life .

This author is an author I go to when I need a laugh . This book was no exception to the rule. I love reading her work. I laughed so hard while reading I had tears rolling down my face at some parts . The words that come from that woman's mind is amazing . Her twisted sense of humor will make you go really and laugh . This is the 4th book in the series and the series just keeps getting better and better . I love the characters and always look forward to find out what they are up to . They get crazier and crazier with each book . The author takes us on a fun filled joy ride that will keep you reading well into the night and laughing continuously . Check out the Magic and Mayhem books . You will not be disappointed in the least .

"Magically Delicious: Magic and Mayhem Book Four" was written by Robyn Peterman. Zelda and Mac are finally mated, but as a result, they are expecting their very own set of twins. Now if Zelda could only eat nutritious food that won't make grown men gag, she'd be great. Unfortunately, she just likes to shovel as much oddly combined processed pieces of sugar coated garbage as possible down her pie hole. Fabio, her father, decides that his daughter needs to go on a carb-free diet, and enlists the rest of the town to give up carbs too. But for this future mom of twins, telling her that she can't eat something in one thing, actually enforcing it is another. Either way, Zelda's appetite has grown so large that she could even eat a house, a gingerbread life-sized house. Now Zelda has to reform her ways, eat better, curse less, and keep her promises all while trying to find the source of the lurking evil that's sucking all of the magic out of the world.
Overall, this was another laugh out loud rollercoaster ride of a story. I really enjoy reading Robyn Peterman's books and hope that you do too.

I have been patiently waiting for this book....ok maybe not patiently....and I was not disappointed. I love Zelda and all her zaniness. The special bond she has with the whole town, even though it was never what she expected it to be. Mac and his love for Zelda shows through the whole thing. Humor abounds in this laugh a minute book. I laughed til I had tears and that for me is one of the best parts of a book. Of course hot shifters and crazy witches aren't bad either. I have enjoyed all the books in this series and will be waiting patiently....ok maybe not patiently....for the next one.

As usual I loved her book! Hilarious and just over all fun. If only pregnancies were as fast as Zeldas I was very jealous. But she can keep those cravings if hers. They reminded me of the pregnancy craving horror stories people tell when a women is newly pregnant. Which is always convenient in the first trimester when morning sickness is an all day event and you just mention a certain food and baby says you will puke now! I recommend all of Robyn's books they're so much fun! And her sense of humor is really wow just wow! ;)

I have been reading every book in the Magic and Mayhem series and have been waiting patiently for this story! Robyn has a unique way with her characters, Zelda, Sassy and Carol! Even her secondary characters have a way of making you smile! Zelda continues to surprise with her puppies, Lucky and Charms! I will also never look at Ho-hos the same way! This book was an enjoyable light-hearted fantasy that is perfect for getting your mind off of your troubles.

Magically Delicious is the latest installment in the side-splitting saga of Zelda. I laughed more reading this book than I have any other, and that’s saying a lot! The characters are zany, the story is mysterious, and the romance is steamy, all things I have come to expect and love from this author. Lucky & Charms was genius and I will find a way to work this into my life in some form. Read this book, you will not be disappointed!

Love loved this book. Zelda pregnant was so much fun to read. Her weird cravings were hysterical. Meeting Baba Yaga's sister was an unexpected delight. I am so happy this saga continues. Can't wait to see how "Lucky and Charm" grow up and what kind of trouble they find for themselves and their parents!

Cookie houses, HoHos, and Bon Jovi

I fall in love with Assjacket and the characters every time I read a book about them. Zelda showed a lot of weirdness and strength in this book.
I look forward to the next book in the series. Now to read the kindle world that goes with this! Thank you Robyn! Loved reading it!

Robyn's books are my feel good reads, she never disappoints with her witty, laugh out loud, easy to love characters and story lines. Zelda's stories are among my favorite of Mrs. Peterman's and Magically Delicious was no exception. Im looking forward to the next time I get to head back into the town of Assjacket.

Another great read! (or what not to eat when you're expecting)

A fun read in the Magic & Mayhem series! Robyn Peterman delivers a winner yet again. You’ll laugh through the entire book and be anxious for the next in the story!

As Zelda power-eats her way through her pregnancy, the lurking (ahem) evil still torments Assjacket, West Virginia. And I’m not talking about Fabio’s ban on carbs! Join with us as we scrounge for junk food and munch on houses (yes, houses). We learn more of the story behind Babayomama, and what lies ahead for our favorite Zeldoumannawanna. You’ll never look at HoHos the same way again, and you’ll be craving Lucky Charms throughout! I recommend starting at the beginning of the series so you get the full impact of the Shifter Wanker, and her merry band of misfits.

*sigh* Babies!!!!!!

I just adore Assjacket, West Virginia :D

I can't tell you how much I love this series.

Zelda, pregnant wow! Turns out she won't have time to get used to becoming a mum. Things take a turn for the worse when carbs are BANNED in Assjacket and she goes into melt down, BIGTIME! Her craving drives her to the extremes and of course bites her in the butt!

Even nastier magic is being drained all over.

I can't wait to see where we go from here :D

5 Candi Kisses and some Puppies..hehe
Zelda and the gang are back with more hi-jenks and mayhem. Zelda is birthin' puppies she says, while Fabiodudio is bribing the town to do away with all carbs so Zelda will eat more healthy. You have to know how this goes over. With someone trying to steal all the witch powers and Zelda having the weirdest cravings ever this is one hilarious and joy filled read. Well done again Ms. Peterman. Can't Wait for the next one.
