Everyone who knows me knows I love to read. This love is something I have tried to pass down to my children. Sometimes it is hard to find books that my kids enjoy and that my husband and I think will help them as they grow.
This is a short book and it really held my 3 year olds attention. She seemed to understand the story and has quoted it back to me a few times. I think she really enjoys that it rhymes. It is beautifully illustrated, each page is a delight to look at. The pictures really help ...more

This padded board book is delightful and perfect for little readers. The story is 22 pages of illustrations with text on 14 of these pages. The story has a lovely rhythmic flow - "What is Christmas? Do you know?" and with this opening line, the tone is set.

"...take this review with a grain of salt and with my wife’s endorsement of the book thrown in to boot–she says it’s excellent, and she likes Christmas far more than I do even at the best of times.
Overall, My Merry Christmas is fine. Not earth-shakingly good, not terrible heresy, just fine. I’m no judge of the artwork of children’s books or of poetry, so I have no comment on that one way or the other. But in terms of its theological content it’s... well... fine."
