Marie Josette d’Orgemont, cousin to Louis XVI, watched in horror as a rogue creature took her husband’s life before turning on her. A powerful vampire swept in and spared her life, but she never suspected surviving meant immortality or the price she’d have to pay to protect her surviving son.

Centuries later, in Miami, with her family on the verge of extinction, Marie is pr

Not a fan of this fang.

This seems to be a good book it just didn’t work for me. I liked the premise of the book that Marie one of French royalty was turned into a vampire and since then has been obsessed with the continuation of her line. Especially in urging her great, great, great granddaughter Abby to get pregnant.

In Florida and out one night, Marie recognises a werewolf and goes to see what is going on when she runs into some rogue wolves but are rescued by the pack that lives in Florida.

I enjoyed reading Reborn and found it difficult to put down.
The flashbacks to Maries past added depth to the present day story.
The characters were all dimensional, and easy to like (or hate).
The romance, chemistry and sparring between Marie and Odin was nicely done.

I am now eagerly waiting for 'book 2' as I'm keen to know what happens next to with Marie, Abby, Odin and Egon!

‘Reborn: Princess of the Blood Series’ was an enticing little read. Filled with flashbacks and romance, this book kept me quite entertained. It can act as a standalone; it’s about two unconnected dots away from creating a 100% no-questions-asked ending. If you mentally connect the dots then, poof, you've got a perfectly satisfying ending. But knowing these characters, I personally wanted more. There are two things that stood out as brilliantly different that really sold this book to me.

I got so caught up in this book from the get go, I couldn’t stop reading. Marie and Odin are something to read about. I laughed and cried with this book. I would definitely suggest you read this.

This book was recommended to me by a friend. I was hesitant to read it because it's not the genre I typically gravitate towards, but I was swayed by the cover and the idea that part of it was set in 18th century France. Although I've read some vampire books (Anne Rice) in the past, this book included some new creative details about vampires. The main character is a descendant of the French monarchy and very strong--something I love in a female protagonist. She's no-nonsense and takes what she wa ...more

Reborn is such a unique and interesting paranormal romance. The characters were really well-written and came to life. Odin and Marie make a great couple, and the secondary characters were all distinct, original, and fascinating. I loved the Miami setting and thought that the flashbacks to Marie’s past added a complexity to both her character and the story. I really enjoyed reading Reborn and can’t wait to see what happens next!

This was a fantastic book. Vampires and werewolves. Loved the characters. Could not put this book down. Draws you in till the end. Can't wait for the next one to see what happens.

This was a great read. I really liked all of the main characters, which usually is a problem for me. Each had their own personality and history. Marie is a vampire who is protecting the last living person in her bloodline, her granddaughter Abby. Marie is more of a classy vamp, which I liked but she can be tough when she needs to, especially when she is protecting Abby. I could have done without the Abby/John thing. I thought John whined too much and their relationship seemed a bit rushed. It wi

I enjoyed the character building of Marie and Abby, would like to know more of the history of the the weres though. And I'd like to see more Abby and Egon. I'll be watching for the next book.

Vampires with history

Vampires and werewolves in the same book! Hooray!

This story is about the forbidden romance between a vampire of royal decent and a Viking.

It was a little slow to start & a little heavy on the bedroom time, but the second half of the book, holy smokes!

The story also goes back and forth between Marie as a newly made vampire in France & modern times. There is also a great dynamic between Marie and her so many times over granddaughter, Abby. Abby's main function, as a h

I really enjoyed this novel and the two main characters Marie and Odin. The author does a great job of creating a very real relationship experience for the reader. They write Odin as funny, tough and protective in a way that I could completely relate to. Marie was much more formal and the fact that the author was able to relay that consistently throughout the book tells me she had a wonderful understanding of her character!

My favorite line was from Odin when he tells Marie - "This room is so pi

Marie Josette d’Orgemont, cousin to Louis XVI, didn't realize that when she accepted the offer that spared her life, that she would become what she considered a monster. She didn't realize the price she'd pay for immortality or to protect her small son. REBORN is a paranormal romance published by Soul Mate Publishing. This is book one in the Princess of the Blood series.

What I like about vampire books is the way you can either incorporate real history into the back story of the characters or you can take that history, give it a twist, and create something like historical fantasy. Whichever way you decide to go, you at least get an element of what it was like back in that era, while being entertained by the vampires.

Marie is a survivor. I like

This is a story about when the civil war was happening in France and what a possible outcome could have been if Vampires did in fact exist. This had some interesting view points and it brought a bit more humanity to how many people depict vampires.
Marie Josette D'Orgemont lost her husband to rogue vampires. And she was saved by a master vampire all in the same night. The price to pay for that safety? Eternal life without her family, and having to watch her bloodline die out. Now with only one f

Uncaged Book Reviews:

The chemistry between Marie and Odin leaps off the page, and the fun banter between Odin and Abby will keep you smiling. Toss in Egon, and a few pack members that are loyal to Odin and the humor between them all is fun. When Odin’s father decides it’s time to take action and bring Odin back to his “responsibilities,” the book really gets moving. Although there were a few very predictable scenerios running, the authors does have a few surprises up their sleeves. My only issue
