The journey to Reflex Point continues!
TEAM'S STRUGGLING DYNAMICS
Lt. Cmdr. Scott Bernard continues to lead his ragtag team in a perilous journey looking to reach Reflex Point, main headquarters of the Invid Regis on Earth.
However, to keep together the team, without arguments isn't so easy.
Some of them aren't used to work in a military fashion, while others aren't so sure if their mission is something possible to achieve.
Also, Scott finds "Marlene", a woman who looks just like his lost fiancé during the REF Mars Division attack to the Invid on Earth. But, "Marlene" hides a terrible secret from Scott's team since she was created by the insidious Invid Regis to infiltrate Scott's team.
However, Invid Regis' plan may not work as she was expecting and she lost contact with Ariel aka "Marlene". So, the Invid Regis decides to create another two humanoid agents: Corg and Sera.
Nevertheless, Sera will encounter Lancer causing havok in her imposed instructions by the Invid Regis.
And that's not all since little Annie will reconsider if she wants to keep getting along with Scott's team.
WORSE THAN INVID
The Invid are ruthless but after all, they do what they thought better for them.
However, worse than Invid...
...they are the human collaborators.
Scott's team's rocky road to reach Reflex Point isn't not only endangered by the continuous attacks by Invid patrols formed of fearsome Invid Shock Troopers and lethal Invid Attack Scouts, but also Scott's team has to deal against human collaborators that they "sold" their own race in exchange of frivolous luxuries and political power in the new society ruled by the Invid on Earth.

I so much rather watch the anime. I learned a few tidbits, always a good thing, but toward the end I just skipped chapters. More written to a younger audience, or an earlier time, fine as what it is back then.

What a great ending... Such a different vibe from the first two series but so much fun! Doesn't matter what party you are associated with, the fact that the evil queen set hp her headquarters in NYC's Trump Towers is funny!

I love this trilogy. Enjoyed rereading the updated volume. A lot of improvised small unit survival, an interesting apocalyptic landscape and some intriguing characters.

Just more transcription of the TV series. I like both the novels and the show, but fine literature, this is not.

Great series of books for kids that enjoy or are interested in science fiction. I read these books in middle school (I'm now in my 30s) and loved each one. The stories are fun, engaging and relatively fast paced. I'd be tempted to reread them now just for old time's sake if I didn't have so many new books on my to-read list.
I knocked it down a peg because, in retrospect, there are some aspects that are a bit too cheesy. I'm sure when my kids are old enough, they'll get thier own copies.

Taking up the middle act of the Invid Saga, this continues the story of The Invid Invasion, being part #18 in the chronological order.
It makes for a good read, and is also, quite fun to read.

Great SiFi series. Giant battlesuits battling outer space monsters, what more can you ask for. Very recommended
