Good friends to lovers story. Sage and Nick have been good friends for months, adding "with benefits" not long after they met. Sage has wanted a baby for a long time, but her previous relationship didn't work out. She's decided to have one on her own, but isn't thrilled about using a donor - she'd rather know who the father is. She comes up with the idea of asking Nick.

Nick was surprised by Sage's request. He's always wanted more from Sage but went along with her wishes while waiting for his

Sage and Nick are friends, best friends. And so when Sage approaches Nick about becoming her baby daddy instead of going through an agency, they both knew it would change their lives but for the good right? Both of them have set plans for their futures... no time for boyfriends or girlfriends. They have each other. Nothing will change, they'll just have a baby to share their love with.

But the two of them have a secret each that they haven't shared and when the two find themselves heading down a

Friends-with-benefits can get a little messy at times, especially when a baby is involved. Honestly, I found myself wanting to shake both Sage and Nick and tell them to use their words.

Here’s what’s going on. Sage wants a baby but she wants to know her baby’s daddy, so no trip to the sperm bank for her. In fact, she has her eye on the perfect father: her best friend Nick, who just happens to be the other half of her friends-with-benefits. Nick’s always wanted to see where a real relationship

The cover of this book is so cute, but the baby doesn't make an appearance until the book is very nearly finished. I'm not sure what goes through the minds of people at Harlequin when they design these books.

Sage and Nick's story is a friends and lovers to parents story, but not in a traditional way. They are friends with benefits when the story starts and really have a good thing going, but Sage wants a baby, but not a husband, or she thinks she doesn't want a husband because she was hurt

Sage and Nick's relationship can be summed up with four words: " A baby changes everything." Cathy Thacker never shies away from the heavy emotional baggage that love entails, she tackles it head on. From broken hearts to shattered friends and well deserved second chances, Wanted: Texas Daddy spotlights it all. Building a future and co - parenting a child means facing some hard truths for these friends to lovers. It could mean the difference between losing a friendship or gaining a happily ever ...more

Wanted: Texas Daddy by Cathy Gillen Thacker. One comment up front. Why do authors have to put a baby picture on the cover when the baby isn't born until the end of the book. These are good authors and the story alone can make it. Sage Lockharts wants a baby. She's been having benefits with Nick Monroe for months. Now she wants his baby but only as friends. Sage had a bad relationship in the past and doesn't trust in love. Hence the friendship only. The relationship has it ups and downs since ...more

Loved this friends to friends with benefits to baby and marriage story. Single Sage wanted a baby and who better than her friends with benefits partner, hunk Nick. Nick has alway wanted a family and, with who else better than Sage. When a new business venture causes a marriage for them so Nick would be family-oriented and not a dead-beat dad, things change. Sage has always wanted more from Nick but too afraid to say anything, Nick wanted the same. Communication is so important - Sage and Nick ...more

"Wanted: Texas Daddy" emphasizes the importance of friendship and the need for good communications in relationships. Luckily for the main characters of the story they had a great friendship besides a steamy love life. By the end of the story they learned the importance keeping "the lines of communication open".

A cute friends to lovers romance. Fun quick read that could have used a little more work on the plot. There was a little more sex than I was anticipating and I felt it detracted from the story but it was a good summer beach read!

Dear Readers,

The love stories in my family have always been fodder for romance novels.

My maternal grandmother and grandfather simultaneously ran a business together and raised four daughters, long before it was an accepted thing to do. Grandpa O’Dell ran the gas station and the barber shop; Grandma O’Dell managed the grocery and cooked for customers. They were true partners and madly in love and
