This is a basic primer for all levels of management. It is taylored to the Western mindset and uses many Western phrases. However it can be read and understood by those of other cultures and perspectives equally well.

A managerial guide containing very useful ideas, the book uses simple stories and maxims to drive home the point. Unfortunately, the authors attempts at creating his own management acronyms fail and detract from the rest of the book.

Got this for myself when I was starting in retail. Great book for new managers! Very 'folksy' but has great advice

Useful for someone transitioning into more managerial responsibilities, this book is pithy and practical. You can read it in a few hours and keep on your professional bookshelf to refer to later.
