Bienvenidos a Miami. Welcome to the hottest party scene in the U.S. Behind all the glitter, hard bodies and sexy drinks, the lives of the hard-partying residents of the 305 aren’t all they seem.

Cat Ross struggles to make ends meet. If she doesn’t scrounge up enough cash for rent and to pay off her brother’s drug dealers, she’ll be sleeping at a shelter, and her beloved bro

4.5 Stars Unworthy is the first book in Lynne Silver’s, The Worthy series.

I thoroughly enjoyed Unworthy, the storyline was real and the characters believable. I look forward to reading more of this series and would definitely recommend this book.

Cat and Ian’s lives as children were much the same as was there attraction to each other. But one night, one decision and years later would have their paths collide in a very different way. Could Ian and Cat finally have found their way back to each oth

This is the first book in the Worthy series. It is set in Miami. I think it has been awhile since I read a book with the setting set in Miami. Cat Ross is trying to keep herself a float, but it keeps getting harder and harder for her. She is so close to be homeless. Life for Cat has been hard for her most of her life. Her brother is a drug addict and his life is affecting her life. Ian Lawrence is a hot party promoter, who was good friends with Cat's brother. They had a hot night together when t ...more

4.5 Stars...Lynne Silver is a new author to me and I'm not disappointed I was given the opportunity to read this book.

Ian and Cat have known each other since high school because Danny, Cat's older, and Ian were best friends. They were always friends, but on Cat's 18th birthday they crossed the line to lovers. Things didn't turn out how Cat expected and years later, a chance encounter brings Cat and Ian back into each others lives.

Cat is struggling to make ends meet and is in desperate need of he

'Unworthy' is the first book in a sexy new series about the party scene in Miami. Cat Ross is a waitress in a rundown sports bar who has to support her older brother Danny who is in the midst of addiction. When he steals her rent money, she goes to search for him and runs into Ian Lawrence, who promotes some of the hottest parties in the 305. He is an old friend who could have been something more..and sparks fly immediately!

However the road to love is never smooth, and Cat and Ian have to overc

Unworthy is part of a new series I'm looking forward to continue reading! The series starts with the story of Cat and Ian. Ian is a friend of Cat's brother, Danny. They all grew up together, and there was an attraction between Cat and Danny. Now as adults, it's more complicated due to their past and the current situation Cat is going through with dealing with her brother. There are no lack a of hot, steamy moments in this story. There are also a lot of moments I wanted to shake Cat for her decis ...more

I just finished reading Unworthy, and now can hardly wait to read the next book in the series, Worthless. Bravo, Lynne Silver, for not taking the easy way out with Cat and Ian's HEA, and for making the reader think. Just how far would YOU go to salvage the last of your family? I was so afraid the author would resolve things one way, and was so happy she resolved things another way. No spoilers, but now I have a new book to read in the same world, with characters I've come to care about. It's all ...more

Cat and Ian were childhood friends but Ian left Cat’s life. But when he sees her at one of his parties, dragging out her druggy brother, he regrets his decision and decides to help her. But Cat isn’t sure she wants his help and the two struggles to find a way to give each other what they want.

There were times where I felt this book was quite repetitive. Cat and Ian keep telling the other the same thing but neither will listen. It did get frustrating.

When your best friend has a little sister, sometimes things get a little blurred. Sometimes you see her as a little sister one day, and then a few years later you see her as a whole new person. A more grown up, more developed young woman. And that can make still being friends with her brother, Danny, a whole lot harder. Especially when she tries everything in her power to get your attention.

Cat Ross is seriously struggling to make ends meet, and she's doing her best to come up with her rent money, plus pay off her brother, Danny's, drug dealers, so she doesn't lose him. Ian Lawrence is Miani's hottest party promoter, whose life looks like all fun and games from the outside. His life is shaken up with his childhood best friend's sister comes back into his life. They were all friends in High School, until Cat and Ian crossed the friendship line into a hook up that turned out badly, a ...more

Lynne Silver reeled me in with her sexy elite soldiers who graced the pages of her Coded for Love series, and while I had some reservations about the party genre portrayed in the synopsis for this latest venture, Ms Silver hasn’t disappointed with this first book in her brand new Worthy series.

Unworthy is as real a story as they come. Touching on the destruction of familial bonds, the lengths an addict will go to get their next fix, and the denial suffered by those who love a person perched prec

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book (given by the author)...

This was a very good read, filled with love, loss, heartache and redemption. Cat and Ian were childhood friends who crossed over to lovers after Cat's 18th birthday, but things didn't end the way the Cat wanted. Now years later, they are brought together because of Cat's brother, Danny's drug problem. Cat has no money and a crappy apartment, but what she fears the most is losing Danny. Ian is a successful party promoter with a gr

This is my first book to read of Lynne Silver's, but it will not be my last. I loved the chemistry between Cat and Ian, but this is not just a second chance love story. We also learn about drug addiction and what the family and friends go through. Cat is a strong, independent woman that doesn't like to accept help from anyone, but sometimes we need to leave our pride at the door. At times I felt sorry for Danny and how bad his addiction is, but Lynne Silver lets us know that addicts will do anyt ...more

Lynne is a new-to-me author but the blurb just reeled me right in.

There are some troubles brewing for Cat, her brother Danny, and the last person they expect to help them is their once-close but now very distant friend, Ian. After a tragic loss changed their lives forever, Ian lost touch with both of them. Now Cat needs some help and Ian wants to be the one she turns to. In fact, he gives her no options when he sweeps into her life again.

There was some frustrating back and forth between the two

Though this is the first in the series, I read it second! (I read Worthless first.) Cat is a strong heroine, doing what she has to do to get by. Her situation is dire, her brother is a desperate mess and things are only getting worse. Ian is at the top of his game. Loving his job, though it conflicts with what his father wants him to do. When he encounters Cat again, all their teenage feelings come rushing back. Can this really work? They are on different paths. But Cat really needs the job that ...more

I became a fan of Lynne Silver when I read her book Heated Match from her Coded for Love series. I wasn't sure what to expect of Unworthy since the excerpt felt very different that the Coded of Love series but she didn't disappoint. I truly enjoyed getting to know Cat, Ian, Danny, and Amy. Cat is a waitress that can barely make ends meet thanks to her addicted brother. Ian promotes party at the hottest spots in Miami. What an amazing read.

There were moments where I wanted to smack Cat for what she was doing, but if I was in her spot, I would likely do the same to protect and support a family member. Ian was such an awesome hero, who my heart broke for as he faced issues not only with Cat, but on the home front also. These two complimented each other's personalities so well, and in the end they both made sacrifices to get back to each other. The secondary characters added so much to this book, and I am hoping

This must read will tug at every inch of your heart & leave you begging for more.

The perfect book this holiday season that tackles family, love and friendship. Would you sacrifice everything and put your family first? Would you do anything for the one person you loved the most?

4.5 Stars for the first book in a new Lynne Silver series

Unworthy is a second chance romance combined with a best friend of big brother/little sister romance all in one couple. Cat is a headstrong, tough firecracker that is loyal and lovable. Ian is a swoon worthy hero with a bad boy attitude, but has a heart of gold. The sex scenes are smoking hot and incredibly well written. There are also those tender family moments that make the characters relatable. I was invested in their lives and even fe

Ian Lawrence runs the hottest parties in Miami.
Cat is struggling to make ends meet, and her addicted brother doesn't make things easier
When she runs into Ian all her whole life is going to take a big change. He wants her as bad as he did years ago and she is pissed.
This book went back and forth for me I had moments where did not want to put it down as well as moments were it was dry. Overall it was a good book and I would recommend it .

Cat, Ian and Danny where friends growing up and now Cat struggles to make ends meets and Danny is a drug addict. Ian willingly wants to help them because he feels partially responsible for what happened to them. Ian and Cat's chemistry is off the roof, but his she willing to give him another chance? Can she accept the help, he's providing her? I can't wait for the next installment in this series
