Khas buku anak-anak, pengulangan kalimat dan alur cerita dengan tokoh yang terus bertambah perlahan. Bagusnya, pengulangan nggak terlalu banyak. Sekitar tiga kali cukup (karena suka ada yang berlebihan). Gingerbread man ini ya, ngajarin anak-anak untuk nurut sama yang lebih tua. Karena mereka lebih tahu hidup ke depannya gimana, walaupun nggak bisa semua di sama ratakan.
