Comeback Cowboy by Sara Richardson was a well written, heartwarming second chance romance and I really enjoyed it.

Lucas and Naomi were likeable, endearing characters that I easily connected with. My heart went out to them and everything they've been through, these two totally earned their happily ever after.

Comeback Cowboy is the second book from the Rocky Mountain Riders series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them all.

I had read and enjoyed the first book in this series, so I was pretty excited to get to this one.

I loved Naomi. She's strong and sassy and stands up for herself. Lucas is stubborn and loyal and I really enjoyed seeing them work things out. This is a fun group of characters.

Plot wise, it was a little dramatic. There are a few threads going at the same time and with that came a lot of push and pull. Thankfully, there wasn't a break up, but there were several several attempts.

Overall, i

COMEBACK COWBOY is a sweet, emotional and touching second chance romance that perfectly captures the small town feel, both good and bad, that Sara Richardson has become known for.

Naomi Sullivan once looked forward to happy ever after with the boy of her dreams, until he went to jail for arson and she found herself married and with a child before being ditched by her ex-husband. Now her every dream is wrapped up in giving her daughter the best life she can. Except her past is about to careen into

I have to say, this is one of the best books I have read about small town living. I've never really lived in a small town myself, so when I read these stories and the people, sometimes I am really taken aback. This is one of those times. I think Sara Richardson did an exceptional job showcasing both the good and the not so good side of small-town living/mentality. Especially with Lucas' character. IMO, it was a realistic portrayal and made the story more relatable.

As a whole, this second chance

“Your words might be quiet.” “But they mean more than most people’s.”

Sometimes you just need a sweet second chance romance to get lost in and that’s exactly what Comeback Cowboy is.

Told from dual points of view, Comeback Cowboy follows the story of Naomi and Lucas. For Naomi, there has only been one love in her life and that was Lucas. He was her high school sweetheart, her everything. Their love was intense and like non other. All was going well until Lucas made a life altering de

Comeback Cowboy follows the troupe of second chance romance with Naomi Sullivan and Lucas Cortez. Highschool sweethearts, Naomi and Lucas were supposed to live their own versions of happily ever after until a tragedy happens. Lucas is sent to jail for arson at a young age and Naomi, nursing a broken heart marries another man, only to find herself pregnant. Ten years later, Naomi still isn't sure who the father

Comeback Cowboy is a second chance romance that will move your heart strings in the sweetest and most compelling way.

One moment everything in Naomi's life is going exactly as she plans, and the next moment everything starts to spin out of control. The one man that she has ever loved is back in town. She has been able to avoid him for the past few months but he intends to reclaim the special spot that he once held in her heart. To make things worse for Naomi her ex husband has also made a reappea

I would have to agree that Lucas is not so easily forgettable. I like how this story started out a few months after Lucas had returned. The way the story went is that Lucas and Naomi had a few run ins with each other in town but their first real close encounter was when Naomi almost ran Lucas over. A totally innocent accident. Additionally, this is where I get to meet Gracie, Naomi's daughter. She is such a sweetheart and so smart. She kind of stole some of the spotlight away from Lucas and Naom ...more

As a life-long Colorado resident, I’m always excited to read books that take place in our beautiful state. I’m often disappointed, however, when Colorado is given as the setting but there is nothing really Colorado specific in the book. Pleasantly, I was not disappointed in COMEBACK COWBOY by Sara Richardson. The author lives in Colorado, and with the exception of Topaz Falls, the small town which serves as the main location for this story, the

I Voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

I didn't read the previous book in the series, but I didn't have any difficulty reading or following this one.
Lucas went to prison for committing a crime and now he is back in his hometown after years of being out and working on another farm. His brother is getting married and he's home to help out a bit. But being home means seeing the only women he has ever loved, and also dealing with a town where people hate him for what he did and for being a felon.

Comeback Cowboy is a sweet second chance romance story. I liked that the author didn't always choose the obvious direction with things--we find out pretty quickly who's the father of her ten-year-old daughter instead of dragging out the drama and suspense, for example, and even though it did sometimes look like one of the main characters was going to make a run for it in the other's "best interest" they had adult conversations about what was going on instead and made decisions together. As a lover of cowboy romance and second chance love, this story was right on the nose. I loved the smalltown ambiance, both the good and the bad. Coming from a very small community myself, it was very realistic. Naomi was a wonderful character and I loved seeing how determined she was to make a good life for her daughter. I just love a woman who can stand on her own two feet. While I know that the "secret" is simply a plot device, I'm just not sure that in real life I'd ever be able to truly tru ...more

Lucas is very appreciative of his lady's assets, "...the front door banged open. Naomi’s backside came through the door first, her body bent as she dragged something onto the porch. God almighty, the woman made jeans look hotter than a high-end teddy." Lucas is not a bashful man, “my god, I love that dress on you,” Lucas murmured, leaning in closer. “What’re you wearing underneath it?” I liked this book, Lucas was such a good man.

I love the way he was with Naomi’s little girl. How he was conflicted because he didn’t want to ruin anyone but still wanted to have love in his life. I love that he was willing to do so much to protect those he loves.

Lucas Cortez is home for the time being, ever since he learnt of his father's illness. Staying and working the land alongside his brothers isn't an option, not when there's so much hostility towards him still after what he did so many years ago. But Lucas has never forgotten the woman he left behind, and he wants a second chance with Naomi Sullivan. Except with the secret he's keeping, how can he ever expect her to give him one unless he reveals the truth. Can they move on from the past together

I love second-chance, secret baby, and small town romances. So reading Comeback Cowboy is like hitting the jackpot, since it has all three of those tropes. However, something unusual about this story is that the author chose to reveal all the dirty laundry right up front. Instead of dragging out what tore the couple apart, hiding the child’s paternity, and dragging the drama out for as long as possible to milk the angst for everything it could be worth, the issues are laid out so the couple can ...more

I have not read the first book in the Rocky Mountain Riders series, however this did not affect my enjoyment of book 2.

Comeback Cowboy, as the title probably gives away, is a sweet, contemporary second chance romance.

Naoim and Lucas' relationship is beyond complicated. Throw other people - especially in a small town - into the mix and it could be a down right mess.

However Naomi takes them all on head on and holds her head high, for

this is the second book in a series but enjoyable as a standalone.

Naomi Sullivan is a single mother who never got over her first love, Lucas Cortez. They had a high school romance that was severed when Lucas was incarcerated for arson, supposedly burning a rodeo stadium that devastated their small-town Colorado community. She never learned if the baby she carried was Lucas’ daughter, or that of her husband, Mark, who took off while Gracie was just an infant.

Let me talk to you about the love story between Lucas Cortez and Naomi Sullivan. Can't tell you how exactly it began, but they were high school sweetheart and everything went downhill when Lucas went to prison for arson, when she was seventeen. I found Sara Richardson with the first book in this series. I was an instant fan. This talented lady sure does know how to write a good cowboy story.

I found an instant connection to Naomi and her sweet, charming little girl Gracie. Speaking of Gracie oh this little girl is so cute, so smart, and really a

In Comeback Cowboy (Rocky Mountain Riders #2), Sara Richardson does it again. Here’s what’s going on. Lucas willingly went to jail for a crime he didn’t commit and rather than coming home after he was released, he stayed away. Although now that he’s temporarily back in town, he can’t help but want to stay and rekindle things with the woman he still loves.
