I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! In descendants my favourite character is Evie so when I saw this book I knew I had to get it! This book definitely feels written by Evie. All the knowledge about fashion plus the connections from Descendants 2 really make this book great, not to mention the wonderful pictures and fashion tips. Great read for anyone who loves Evie! 💙
Yet another amazing piece of companion media for a Disney Film/Show 🤩 I absolutely enjoyed reading through the design descriptions and Evie’s thoughts. I also appreciated the additional canon details that this book has to offer, like Evie learning how to be a better listener by designing clothes for Jane and Evie’s brother-sister relationship with Carlos. ❤️ I’ll probably have a look through this one again some time 😉❤️❤️
Evie’s Fashion Book (Disney Descendants 2) Even tho Evie’s styles weren’t quite my style, (I think the one I liked most was the dress she wore with the blue and black stripped bodice and the blue tulle skirt. I also kind of liked Evie’s cotillion dress that was blue with one long sleeve and had a mermaid style bottom), this sketch book styled book was a very cute concept. It reminded me of a book I had a long time ago that showed how to draw figures and then draw different clothes on the figures. I’m hoping I’ll find that book. I’ve been looking for it everywhere. I have a few sketches of clothes designs I did a long time ago.
While the clothes designs didn’t really do anything for me, I did like some of the accessory ideas. I liked the idea of adding charms to boots and it made me think of “junk necklaces” and “junk bracelets” and how interesting that would be to add those to a pair of high tops boots. Not too many. Just a few so it wouldn’t be over done and give them a 80’s vintage flava. And I really might keep this idea stored in the book of my head.
I liked the clear, jewelry, box purses. It also made me think of the clear, jackets, that were popular way back when and how nice this would look paired with one of those. If you want to see an example of this and you aren’t an 80’s nostalgia nut, goggle the video “Now That We’ve Found Love” by Heavy Dee and the Boyz to get an example. I slightly remember having one or maybe it wasn’t mine and I’d borrowed it from someone-guy I dated? -. In any case I would love to just luck up and see one on somewhere like EBAY.
Some others were the sea shell clutch and the gold chocker with the heart. I did like Carlos’s cotillion jacket. Maybe tho I would have given him longer pants. It IS a cotillion. I know that’s his style and all but I’m a little more old skool and just don’t like the “formal” look turned casual with things like shorts and tennis shoes.
Rating: 6 It had a few ideas I could work with and I liked the overall look of the pages turned sketch pad.
This is a compilation of the various fashion designs from Descendants 2 as well as various tips when designing and details (letters, diary entries, etc...) that delve through the plot of the movie.
As someone who genuinely loves fashion design, I adored this book. It's obvious that it would be more deeply appreciated by someone in the age ranges of 7-14, making it perfect for middle school to junior high students who either like the movie or just have an interest in fashion and clothing.
Educators may use it (or the references to the Descendants films) as a way to address biases. Evie--as well as the other villain kids--is looked down upon for her heritage, something she can't control. This is something you see every day in real life as well. She used her heritage to strengthen her passions. It inspired many of her designs, and she uses it as a strength rather than a weakness.
Told through Evie’s point of view, this part notebook, part story tells Evie’s story of Descendants 2 through Evie’s fashion designs. The illustrations are realistc-looking, the text is intriguing and fun to read. Together, the two create a book that is perfect for Descendants fans.

I really love the attention to costume detail and relating it to the plot and character arcs! I think the Descendants movies are really well done, and this book allowed me to geek out over costume design, one of my favorite things to do. It's a beautiful book, and a must-have for any nerdy theater types who love Disney.
Liked this even more than Mal’s Spell Book! I love fashion and this was amazing. So many beautiful designs and drawings that I’m sure had to actually do with the designs made for the movies. Really fascinating tidbits and gorgeous book overall.
I wish there were more photos of the designs. Especially for Mal’s Agrabah dress and Lonnie’s cotillion formal wear. I wanted closer looks at all the details, like torn necklines and dress trains.
This is a very great book thank you for that nayu make more of descendants 2 book but thank you you guys are so amazing you guys are my hero and I wanted to see more

I love all her designs and Dizzy's. It is so cool to get a close up of all the clothes as well as her thoughts. I wish she could sell her clothes in society today😊
