I had a bit of relationship with Mine for the Week, one that’s made it a bit hard to review. Erika Kelly has written some of my favorite books (read the Rock Star Romance series if you haven’t, it’s so much fun!) and she once again has written a couple that has unmistakable chemistry. There’s some great push and pull between Sophie and Ryan and individually as they face life post-graduation. But, there were times that I truly struggled.

I'm a huge fan of Erika Kelly. I have been since she released You Really Got Me (if you haven't read it...you should.) And this series is a great second effort. I LOVED the first book (Mine for Now) and this book is a great follow up. As always Erika delivers a great story with characters you can relate to, ups and downs that leave you guessing and romance, so much romance.

Mine for the Week is a sizzling New Adult read. With the premise of a baseball player I was all in, but soon to realize it’s not really about baseball. My disappointment didn’t last long as I shifted expectations to a romance about our hero, Ryan O’Donnell, and our heroine, Sophie Valentine, both in the later years of college and who are both dragged by friends to a singles-only resort in Grenada. Most people are at this particular resort for the easy hookup. Not them. They are each in the midst

Mine For the Week (Wild Love) by Erika Kelly
Head, heart and humor collide to upend love as we know it. For Sophie and Ryan instant attraction has changed the course of their lives. Now they have to decide to listen to reason or let their hearts lead the way. Ms. Kelly hit a home run with Mine for the Week. Erika Kelly is a new to me author and I honestly didn't know what to expect from Mine for the Week. This book follows Ryan O'Donnell and Sophie Valentine. The two of them come from pretty different backgrounds and run each other randomly while on vacation at a single's resort. Their unlikely meeting quickly turns into something more.
I never thought this would be something I'd say but I was happy with the use of insta-love in this story. I'm not one of those people who completely hat ...more

I'm in love with Ryan O'Donnell! I do have a soft spot for baseball players, but with Ryan he could have been anything. Erika Kelly develops characters like no other. You can feel the tension and love in her characters. The story sucked me in and I was in the 5th chapter before I knew it, I couldn't put my kindle down. MUST READ!

I will admit with no embarrassment that I am an adult reader who loves Young Adult fiction. I love it! Mine for a Week is not YA fiction. So why can I not remember reading about a more immature hero in a looooong time?
There’s a lot to love about out hero, Ryan O’Donnell. He’s sexy, he’s disciplined, he’s a soon-to-be a professional baseball player. Sadly, he’s also emotionally stunted and entirely too concerned with what others think of him.

I hate to say it, but I almost DNF'd this book. I had a really hard time connecting to Ryan and Sophia and their story.
I'm glad I kept reading as things did get better, but I still never fully invested in these two having a happily ever after. Sophia was a much more likable character, Ryan just fell short for me. He would have incredibly sweet moments, but then would take his frustrations out on Sophia and that just didn't sit well.

The first word that pops into my mind when I think of this book is juvenile. I never took seriously the main characters even though I tried. Sophie was almost good, but in the end, I didn't like her. I wanted her to stand up for herself sooner and not let continue is hot and cold behavior. It was like Ryan was two different people, the one who cared and the one who at the mention of the world girlfriend turned into a cold and uncaring man.Why should I believe that he actually loves Sophie? He wa

This book was surprisingly enjoyable. The basic story is about baseball athlete Ryan and cookie heiress Sophie who meet at a singles holiday resort. The resort is all about hooking up and having a good time but Ryan and Sophie seem to be the only two people there who are just trying to distance themselves from their lives whilst they work out their problems.

Mine for the Week is my first Wild Love novel, but I’ve been a fan of Erika Kelly’s writing for a while now. I loved her Rock Star Romance series. I wanted to love Mine for the Week, but I didn’t. It ended up being a book that wasn’t well suited to me. That’s not to say it’s a bad book. There were just some things that didn’t jive with me.

All right, you could pretty much read Mine for the Week without reading Mine for Now, because the story focuses on Ryan O'Donnell and Sophie Valentine. I couldn't remember exactly how the two stories were tied together. Don't get me wrong I did read the first book, but it has been a year. Towards the end I remembered how they are tied together. Anyway, back to the story.

I loved Erika's Rockstar books so I was curious where she'd take this series. This is the second book but I don't feel liked missed anything. I had no idea what to expect really but it flowed really well in the start. While I had moments I had to push through with the angst, I loved how it ended made it come together. It was sweet after the struggle.

Mine for the Week is set in a singles resort, where two college students have escaped for the spring break. They are there for different reasons. Not necessarily to hook up with anyone!
Ryan is the captain of his baseball team. He is renowned, but makes an exit during a crucial game. His heart is not in scoring at the resort, until he sets eyes on a voluptuous brunette.

I really liked this book. It was a bit angsty but it was that good kind like trying to figure out what you want to do for the rest of your life. Everyone thinks once a person graduates college they their whole planned out now. Everything they have been working for since they were a kid will just fall into their laps and they will be making tons money because now they have graduated college. In reality as Sophie and Ryan discover sometimes it doesn't work like that. Sometimes what you thought wan

This is the first story I have read from Erika Kelly. I enjoyed this story. Ryan is a top collegiate shortstop with a chance of going to majors. He is in a big tournament with scouts watching his every move. He bails on his team just needing to take a break for himself. He goes with a bunch of his friends to singles resort. Loved Ryan and Sophie! Ryan is a college baseball player getting ready to go pro. Only one problem, he is having a panic attack at the plate. His friend pulls him out of the game and whisks him away with the excuse of a family emergency to an island in the Caribbean. I was excited to read something from Erika Kelly- it had been a while. Unfortunately for me, Mine for the Week just fell a bit flat. Don't get me wrong, I am all for insta-love and insta-lust but something between Ryan and Sophie just didn't seem to click.

I really enjoyed Ryan and Sophie's journey. They were drawn to each other, but felt something different than they had in other relationships. Sophie is the kind of girl who wants more and doesn't want just a hookup and she fought her feelings for Ryan. Ryan has always been the good kid and life isn't going the direction he wants. First of all, you NEED to read this book! Within the first few pages I was hooked and I pretty much didn't put it down until I was finished.
