However many "serious" books I read about the Victorian age, I always enjoy well-written pictorial books like this. If you need an introduction to the Victorian era that you can read in about half an hour, this one will fit the bill nicely; for the more knowledgeable reader it's a nice breeze through the main points of Queen Victoria's reign and the changes in British society during her lifetime. Superficial, of course--what can you expect in 28 pages?--but no worse for that.
