A Magical Highland Solstice was a cute little holiday novella. It ties in with the Order of the Dragon Knights series. Laird Cormac Murray was the friend of the Dragon Knights and he loyally helped them fight evil in the MacKay brother's books. I was so happy that Cormac got his HEA. I was even more happy that his love was from the year 2016. Cormac was sweet, charming, and caring in all the other books and I really wanted his story. Eve was a modern day baker. The fae in

The best I can say about this book is that it was written. I realise that romance novels are not meant to be cerebral works of literature, but I at least expect some believable dialogue, a believable courtship and a steamy sex scene. Unfortunately all I got was a pedestrian formula, a sex scene that left me feeling spectacularly underwhelmed, and a relationship that made me pretty glad I live in a real world, with a real man and a real relationship. As far as escapism goes it totally missed the ...more

He witnessed how love destroyed his father after the death of his mother, so Laird Cormac Murray has vowed to never take a wife. But his heart won’t listen to his mind when he comes across a bewildered lass traveling alone. After winning a contest, Eve Brannigan is stunned to learn that Clan Murray has requested her assistance in catering their holiday season, but the Fae and the magic of the Yule season has a surprise in store for Eve in the form of a handsome but gruff Highlander.

A lovely Yuletide romance with fairy tale feels...

Once every hundred years, two souls are brought together through the veil of time. They are deemed the chosen ones by the Fae. Through their acts of kindness, generosity, and love to others, they often neglect to find their one true love. Their devotion to aiding others blinds them to their own happiness, leaving them alone.

If Eve Brannigan can win the Sweet and Savory Contest at the Blushing Rose Bakery, then she would be able to fix her car and repair the broken down heater of her elderly neighbour. The last thing on her mind is love. After winning the contest, Eve receives an invitation to travel to Scotland and prepare the desserts for Castle Creag’s annual Winter Solstice Festive. Unsurprisingly, Eve jumps at the chance.

Another wonderful story from Mary Morgan. I was so excited to see that Cormac was getting a story and a HEA. He has been one of my favourite characters from the Dragon Knights tales and such a loyal friend. Eve was perfect for him. She was strong, feisty and a truly caring and loving soul. Their story was fun to read and oh so sweet. I am an avid fan of anything Mary Morgan writes and am always anxious to read her next book.

What a wonderful, magical time travel tale of finding true love and soul mates! I loved every minute of this fast, engaging read!

Both the hero and heroine are selfless characters, dedicating their lives to helping others... which is why the fae decide to bring the two disparate souls together and give them a chance at a happily ever after.

Cormac Murray is a Scottish highlander lord from the 1200s, whose clan has endured a rough year of war and is looking forward to enjoying a festive Solstice. U

Eve was a modern day baker that the fae intervened and sent her back in time to Cormac. Eve was shy and sweet but didn’t let anyone walk all over her. : I just love starting one of Mary Morgan’s stories. Curling up into a chair, I’m prepared to love her hero and heroine and get a booster shot of time travel. I hated to let this series go when I finished Dragon Knight’s Ring. But she thrust me in the midst of a kitchen battle, and again I was enjoying the best of Mary Morgan!

From the cover to the last page, this novella had all the components of why I delight in her stories.

Let the festivities begin for the Yule Tide!

An enchanting Scottish story!

A Magical Highland Solstice, written by Mary Morgan, is one of the best romantic time travels I've read! I stayed up until 2 am and read it in one sitting, I simply could not put it down! Again, this author has done her magic with her talented storytelling! Since, I've read all her previous stories about the Dragons Knights of Urquhart, I was eager to read this one, set during Yuletide in beautiful Scotland, where the hero Cormac is the Laird! It's a beautiful fairyt

A Magical Highland Solstice is the first book i have read of author Mary Morgan and wow she paints the story that touches your heart and has you looking forward to the next chapter. Wonderfully uplifting read!

We all question our decisions at one time or another. Our questions regarding the reality of love are by far, most telling. In this lovely tale, Eve and Cormac are foced ro let go of pre-conceived objections to their capacity for finding a true love. They question the reality of a love finally ptesenting itself (with a wee touch of fae magic. Their voyage from self doubt and skepticism opens their eyes and heart to each other and sets them on a new and vibrant path to

This was a magical, sweet, romantic, yet sexy read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a beautiful story where the Fae help two worthy souls find true love through time.

A Magical Highland Solstice was just that, magical. It's the type of story that makes you get into the holiday spirit. It's warm and fuzzy. It's so romantic. Cormac and Eve were just right for each other. The chemistry was there between them which I find with most novella's, character buildup is lacking but this was not the case in A Magical Highland Solstice. It's sexy, passionate and like I said, warm and fuzzy, just the right story to cozy up to in front of a fireplace along with a glass of w ...more

A definite buy book. A uplifting and warming story. I loved the characters as well as the plot. I enjoyed the way the story just flowed and kept me engaged. I had 2 problems with it. One.... it was too short! 2. Some background information could of been useful to make it a complete stand alone. Other than that... A definite buy book. Witty, wonderful, passionate, funny and just plain enjoyable! This writer is absolutely one to buy. She has a terrific way of writing and keeping your attention. I ...more

Laird Cormac Murray has a problem, he needs a cook and Eve wins a contest to supply the clan Murray for the holiday with meals. Only the Fae have a great sense of humor and sweep her to another time to fulfill her prize. Such an awesome Tale of these two as they find a common path of healing and love. Just enjoy this author's books so much with the characters and their tales. Definitely a keeper to revisit again.

A sweet and passionate tale of love that spans the ages, Morgan delivered yet again with her present day lasses falling for their 12th century Highlanders. The plot isn't difficult yet kept me interested and wondering what would happen next. Eve and Cormac's story is one of intrigue, romance and a hint of fantasy, which weaves itself into a tale of love and longing. Well done.

Fun Reading

Mary Morgan once again tells a tale of the Fae bringing fated love together across time. Eve is mysteriously sent back in time to help with the baking for the Yule Festivities. Although Laird Cormac is aware she is from the future, Eve finds it difficult to believe she is in the past. Delightful entertaining highlander romance.
