The rise of televised paranormal shows on TV pales in comparison to the wealth on material written on the paranormal. Among these Adrian Lee’s Mysterious Midwest stands out for the engaging writing and historical details surrounding places and events that would otherwise vanish into the dusty corners of small town historical societies. In Mysterious Midwest the paranormal becomes the gateway to historical investigations and discovery.

Rarely have I read a ghost hunting paranormal book so filled with exact details, history, and facts than in 'Mysterious Midwest.' And as an added bonus, there are pictures of the sites being investigated, often with the anomaly shown.

Mr. Lee, is new to me, but, hopefully I will read other works. He is obviously an Historian as well as psychic and intuitive. Mr. Lee uses the newest equipment available, however, he is not neglecting the time honored methods used since easily the eighteenth centuri

This book was interesting for me because I wanted to learn more about the Loon Lake cemetery. I was fortunate to be able to go to the cemetery when the author was in Jackson, MN and took a tour group to the cemetery. This made the book a lot more interesting because I listened to him explain the procedures and the different equipment they used. It was very interesting to read about the paranormal activity at the Jackson county fair, a place I have visited several times and didn't know anything a ...more
