In the dream, the family was riding in their car, the father was driving and mother and both sons were in the back seat. Nuci was sitting in the middle. He tells them that he knew he shouldn't have committed suicide, that it didn't hurt and he just closed his eyes and he was here. When his mother asks if he ever had the chance, would he come back? His answer was "Oh, no, Mama, it's too beautiful here." (less)

I've just finished reading 'A Beautiful Here' and whilst I knew Linda's story would be powerful and personal I didn't realize how much it would directly help me in my own personal journey surviving a loved ones suicide.
A Beautiful Here gives me hope that I too can heal.
Linda Phillips is amazing and what she has achieved even more so.

Award-winning author Linda Phillips shares her journey from darkness into joy amid unspeakable grief in her poignant memoir, A Beautiful Here.

"Suicide remains a silent neglected epidemic."

Compelling book written simply yet eloquently by a mother who turned a tragedy into a movement. Interesting look into the mental health system as a whole and the stigmas faced by those who need it.

A phenomenal call to action! Despite Linda’s story being unbelievably heartbreaking, she come equipped with a mighty vision and mission that inspires hope. There needs to be something like Nuci’s Space in every city and town in this country. Thank you for being an example for us all!

Makes you appreciate the value of life

This is a beautiful story about a mom how lost her child to suicide. I really like how direct and honest she addresses the significant issues the USA is facing with the stigma around mental health and the lack of resources that are available to people struggling with mental illness. How much lack of education can be so detrimental as people just don’t want to have a conversation about depression suicide and mental illness. She proposes solutions, she didn’t
