Curiosity level: riveting, refreshing

"Unhomed. The condition not of being homeless, but of having a home and being outside of it."

I'm very thankful that @localbookssg gifted me with "Unhomed". I enjoyed its unconventionality and refreshing perspectives on the idea of home.

Recommends it for: the homesick, the homeless, the unhomed, the lost
Perhaps it was the lonely little bear on the cover, harassed unknowingly by the grandiose of solitude in that cold, cold forest. Perhaps it was the title, a word that isn't actually a legitimate word, but a bastard child that is so comprehensible. Perhaps it was both. A short and quick but impactful read, all the more impressive as they were mostly written by fellow local Singaporeans who are mostly only still in Secondary School. As a fellow Singapore, I truly feel proud that Singapore Literature is indeed picking up. A must read!
