Reviewed for Romancing the Readers Blog:

I've really been enjoying the For Your Love series. I also loved her prior series that leads up to this one, The O'Leary's. I can still remember seeing the cover of More Than This and thinking about wanting to read the series. Of course I didn't start the O'Leary's series when it came out, no that would have been too easy. But I did start it about a year after and have kept up with it and this new series For Your Lov

This is my first read by this author. I was a fan from the first few pages. Great writing. Great friends to lovers story. Wonderful dynamics of the traditional Irish Catholic family and expectations. Deidre and Tommy where wonderful together. Tommy all on his own was such a great guy. Easy to see why Deidre was drawn to him.

Overall, a light read. Not too much drama. Just a sweet love story. I will look forward to more around the O'Malley's and O'Leary's.

We finally get to see Tommy and it was adorable.
I love seeing all the OMalleys relationships grow and evolve with new characters.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.  Thank you!

This is the third in the For Your Love series and while it could probably be read as a stand alone, it is probably advisable to read the series in order just to know the backstory of the secondary characters (namely Tommy's family).  In fact, I finally just figured out that the story of Jimmy (Tommy's brother) was told

Deirdre Murphy is a good Catholic girl who has followed her parents’ wishes by working in the family pub, dating the man chosen for her and putting herself second to others’ needs. Expecting an engagement ring from her longtime boyfriend and receiving a ticket to the USA instead has her beginning to question just where her relationship with Rory is really headed – she loves him and he says he loves her and it is comfortable because he is her best friend but…is it all that she thinks it should be ...more

Deidre Murphy has returned to America to visit her cousins. The break is a well-deserved one, especially when her whole life has been planned for her and it seems she'll never get a say on her future. However, meeting Tommy O'Malley changes her life for the better. Will Tommy be able to convince Deidre to stay in America, so they can have their chance at happy ever after; or will she be the good girl that she is and return home to a future she's not to keen on?

Through Your Eyes by Shannyn Schroeder is the 3rd book in her For Your Love series. This was a very nice sweet romance, and especially good because we get to spend a lot of time with the O’Learys, whom we fell in love with in that series by Schroeder

Deirdre Murphy, our heroine, arrives in Chicago from Ireland to vacation with her cousins (O’Learys). Deirdre received a Christmas present from her boyfriend to return to the states, since she was her happiest when she last visited. Deirdre was some

Shannyn Schroeder revisits the boisterous O’Malley clan in Through Your Eyes, the third installment of her For Your Love series. Almost too-good-to-be-true Tommy O’Malley loses his heart to Deidre Murphy while helping her to find her true self in this tender and authentic love story.

A quiet soul from a domineering family, Deidre has long felt her life choices are not her own. Expected to live with her family in their rural Irish town, work in the family pub and marry her longtime beau, Deidre ne

Oh holy swoon!!!

When I read the only other book I have read in this series, In Your Arms, which is book 2 in the Your Love series, I got to get to know and fall in love with the O'Malley family. I only got glimpses of the O'Leary family though, but this one shows so much about each. If I would of read book one, I would of gotten to know them more. These books can each be read as a standalone.

Deirdre is the cousin to the O'Leary's, from Ireland. We see a bit of her in book 2. We also

Through Your Eyes was a fabulous story about living the life you want to live and finding the person you want to share it with.

Deirdre came back to the US, to stay at her aunt's house and spend time with her cousin's for one main reason - to get away from her family and the plans they've laid out for her. Though they believe she's getting much needed experience that will help her in the path they've set her on, Deirdre is really finding out who she is. Though she left a man behind, their relati

Through Your Eyes was a sweet and sexy read for me! While this is a romance, it is also a book about figuring how who you really are and not living a life that you think others want you to live.

Deirdre has returned to Chicago from Ireland. She thought she was getting an engagement ring from her long-time boyfriend, but he gave her a ticket back to Chicago to see her American cousins. She isn’t quite sure how to take this, but deep down she knows something isn’t right with Rory. So,

What can I say about Tommy and Deirdre? How about this.

I love these two!

Their relationship started out on a shaky ground of possible distance and a possible future marriage. But every couple has some obstacles to overcome. Why should they be any different?

Now the possible fiance back in Ireland would be a big problem if not for the fact that he wants Dierdre to enjoy herself while visiting her cousins in Chicago. Deirdre is all about that when she finds the irresistible Tommy calling on her. He

Deirde's parents own a pub in Ireland and her family expects her to work there, but Deirdre would rather bake than spend her time behind the bar. That's why she visits her aunt and cousins in Chicago, so she can experience some freedom and do what she loves doing the most. She has a boyfriend back home, Rory, but he doesn't seem to mind that she's gone. Again, there are family expectations, but is Rory really the one for Deirdre?

Tommy works in a tattoo shop. He's covered in gorgeous ink and love

Another great O'Malley story. Each book within this series as well as the O'Leary series are standalone novels that are centered around these two families one way or another, they are definitely tightly knitted together. When you get a second chance with someone whom you didn't try with before what do you do? Walk away or go after what you really want..... Well the O'Malley way is to go after what you want. Which is exa

Through Your Eyes is a sweet romance; and I loved seeing Tommy finally get his HEA. The story could probably be read as a standalone, but be warned--both Tommy and Deirdre have large, extended families who show up here a lot (and they bring friends!) and even having already read the other two books in the For Your Love series I felt like I needed a cheat sheet at times to remember who everyone was and who was with whom. (I haven't read the O'Leary's series yet, though--that might have helped too ...more
Through Your Eyes is different, fun and thought provoking. Its part of a series, but reads flawlessly as a standalone. This book did intrigue me to the previous books in this world, and I'm so excited to read them.

Deidre is visiting Chicago from Ireland. Staying with family that immigrated years ago, she's having fun before going home to live the rest of her life as she always knew she would. Marry a good Irish boy her parents love, and run her parents pub with her brothers so their parents can

When Deirdre thought she was going to get a engagement ring for Christmas and got a plane ticket to see her cousins in America she was disappointed. Everyone thought for sure that she and Rory would be tying the knot soon but she truly was happy there so she went.
Tommy who lives across the street from Deirdre's aunt Eileen can't belie his luck that she is back so soon. Tommy couldn't stop talking about Cupcake the girl in the bakery that he wanted to ask out but never got the nerve to. So this

"Through Your Eyes" by Shannyn Schroeder is a story that is heartwarming and family filled. Tommy and Deirdre certainly share some sparks but will it lead to a HEA? Tommy is the perfect book boyfriend - I really adored him. He's sweet and kind and really, really hot! :) Deirdre is friendly and nice but, for some reason, I just didn't love her. I didn't hate her, just thought she was just ok. I did enjoy the two together. They complemented each other perfectly. What I did absolutely love about th ...more

When I read the first book in this series, "In Your Arms," I was left wanting to know more about Deidre and Tommy. I was happy to hear that the author wrote their story, and grabbed the opportunity when I was asked by the author for an honest review of her new book.

Deidre is in Chicago for an extended break. She thought she was on the right path in her hometown in Ireland, until her boyfriend bought her a solo plane ticket instead of the expected engagement ring for Christmas. She took the tick

Welcome back to the O’Malley clan. Their tough, loud, protective, well-loved clan. This time it’s Tommy’s turn to take center stage. He the star of all that Deirdre Murphy was hoping to have during her break from her reality back home in Ireland. She had been warned to stay away from some more than others and Tommy O’Malley was one of the things ...more

Deirdre Murphy leaves her home in Ireland to visit cousins in the United States. While in Chicago, she will be working in a bakery and trying to help out her aunt. Through Your Eyes is book 3 in the For Your Love series but it can be read as a standalone. This is the first book by Shannyn Schroeder that I have read and I am impressed. You get a good look at the dynamics and expectations of a traditional Irish Catholic family which is always interesting to me.

Deirdre has her life already planned out for her but when she goes to visit her cousins in Chicago one last time, she meets Tommy. Tommy is a sweet guy packaged in a hard exterior with lots of tattoos

This is book 3 of the O'Malley's For Your Love series and it's another winner! I just love these characters and catching up on all the O'Leary's makes it especially fun.

Deirdre Murphy is back in Chicago. Visiting her family the O'Leary's and having a grand time. She misses her family and long time boyfriend back in Ireland but she's enjoying her time before her life plan and what's expected of her kicks in. She's been warned to stay away from those hooligans the O'Malley's but there is just some

Shannyn Schroeder is a new to me author and I'm happy that I picked this book up! Although this is book three in the For Your Love series and has recurring characters from the first two books, it's really easy to became engrossed in the rambunctious (and sometimes NOSEY!!) O'Malley and O'Leary families. Deidre is feisty, sassy and confused about what she wants in life. Tommy is her aunt's neighbor and he may look like a tattooed bad boy but he's actually endearing and charming. There's not a lot ...more

This is my first Shannyn Schroeder book and I absolutely loved it! I will definitely be reading more of her work! The story of Tommy and Deidre was heart felt and wonderful as well as sexy and hot. It was a book I could picture as a movie playing while reading it. That is always a super plus in my book and with a new to me author that makes it even better.

She's back in Chicago visiting her American family after the Christmas gift from her longtime boyfriend turns out to be a flight from Ireland to the States (so she can find true happiness) instead of the proposal everyone expected. Much of her life isn’t what she wants for herself, but she’s loyal, grateful for her parents sacrifices, and utterly stuck as a result. Or is she? Once back in the states, in walks Tommy, the hot tattoo artist she met during her last visit from Ireland. He’s pushing a ...more
