What if I was to tell you, you’re all evil?
In some shape or form, you are.
What If I was to tell you, I was the worst kind of evil?
Would you believe me?
I did not believe that there wasn’t anyone who didn’t contain evil.
I was proved wrong, and it stumped me.
I became obsessed with her, someone of pure goodness.
And couldn’t get enough.
I needed to see her insides because that’s what I do. Tearing people apart, I have to prove my point. I wanted to split her apart, to find any trace of bad.
It was wrong of me to think like that.
Though if death is all you know, is it so wrong?
My name is Death. Her name is Pollie.
And I want to see her insides.
Just to understand if she is as pure as she makes out to be.

"I was DEATH. She was life."
What would you do if you ever find yourself falling in love with the wrong man? And by 'wrong man' I mean the scariest man ever, whose world is totally different than yours?
Death, just like his name, had grown up in a world surrounded by evil & death. He never knew what love is, never knew what it's like being touched by someone who cared or worried for him. He thought he had his older brother for that but with time, he proved him wrong. All he ever dealt with was the world of the dead, that is until he meets Pollie. A blind innocent girl that rocks his world in first sight. He wants to protect her, take care of her, lock her away with him and never let go.
Death confuses Pollie. He shows her so much warmth and comfort but doesn't reveal what he does for a living. He doesn't know how to deal with the feelings he has for her, what makes him more frustrated than he already is.
Pollie also struggles with her emotions. She knows he's not the right guy for her but something makes her stay with him, something stronger than her.
Like every one of T.L.'s book, I loved it. It was dark (a bit too dark for me this time), twisted, funny (Anton cracked me up) and soooo hot! I can't wait for the next book in this series about Victor. It's going to be a blast!

As gruesome as this story is, I could not put it down it was freaking amazing. A story about a fuck in the head guy called Death, who's a cleaner (not of floors) but of dissolving bodies an amazing story, Yes you did read that right. Well he is called Death what did you think he did fix them up and send them on their merry way. I laughed when he said that. Oh yes I found this story hilarious in parts too. I did have to skip some of the dismembering parts because that shit will fuck you up and give you nightmares.
I love Death and his no nonsense approach to life. Elina what a bad ass!!! (You will understand when you read that part) Pollie loved her and Death together, she's a bad ass too. 'You bitches all need Jesus'.
Looking to forward to Viktor story.

❤️Death is Life ❤️
I have had the immense Pleasure to be able to read Disbelief (to which I was eagerly awaiting since Distrust.) This book.....,this book I cannot recommend enough, in fact when I finished I wanted to dive back in again and to say I was addicted was a massive understatement!! It is cleverly told from Dual perspectives and one is not possible without the other!

This book is not for the Feint Hearted, but at the same time will call to you on such an emotional level. You see this is a Dark read with a very Beautiful Twisted undertone. There is something so very Beautiful about seeing what is on the inside of someone without them even knowing what they are capable of. It will seep into your Bones and make you feel (not see) the emotion of both Leads.

You see this is a book about Family, The Past, Friends, Death, Life and Possibility!!

"She's opposite of everything I am. Not one thing matches, not one. Her sweet voice, to my rough. Her kind nature to my tough exterior. "

Maybe that's why I want to kill her, so I can see what her insides look like, to check if they're clean as she is on the outside.

This book is one of my all time Favourite reads of 2016.
I volunteered to read an Arc of this book and review. ❤️

"Maybe that's why I want to kill her. So I can see what her insides look like, to check if they're as clean as she is on the outside."

Such a conundrum wrapped in a beautifully dark package of male perfection Death is lost to his work. Immersed in the beauty of destruction he has lost his connection to the living, understanding little of normal human interaction. He respects his Pakhan and his part in the family but doesn't understand the human motivations that drive those around to make hasty decisions to protect the ones they love. He is a beautiful singularity, rare in oddness and perfect in his routines. Until his finely attuned reality is shattered by the perfection of Pollie. She introduces something he finds quite abhorrent into his realm of death..life. How will he cope with this new turn of events? Can Pollie really see the man hidden within? Will they get the opportunity to find out or will the schemes of evil yet powerful men destroy their hope for a tomorrow?

Disbelief is the second in this series and is my favourite so far. Death is a perfect anti hero, his childhood and role within the family helping him to distance himself from humanity, making him able to disconnect from normality. Yet Pollie acts as a switch and the way he reacts to the wealth of new sensations is fascinating as he explores the limits of his control with her. The journey they take together definitely has some bumps along the way and the greater plotline of the ongoing war between two families takes a back seat to their romance although the next stage is set for more drama. I loved the carefully planned plotline and how each story builds a larger picture as each characters becomes more familiar. Freya and Anton especially make me chuckle with their antics and I feel sorry Victor, he's not a happy man! I think certain parts of the story will become clear with end new book as the plot is revealed but I have lots of theories in my head and I can't wait to see where we are taken next in this breathtaking series. I love the mystery, the hints and misdirection that is an unique part of TL Smith's writing style I can't wait for the next book!

A highly recommended Five star Death is inevitable read.

** Review written by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under **

Death.
It reaches all of us.
It's finality.
The end.
Something that we don't want to be touched by, but yet we are.
It's unavoidable.

But what happens when Death is human, a living and breathing being?
A man who's aura is dark, black.
A man so full of evil and hate.
A man with no emotion, detached from any feeling at all.
He's someone you never want to meet.

But Pollie does and her life will irrevocably be changed forever.
Pollie and Death's paths will cross.
Pollie will ultimately meet her Death.

This is their story, Pollie and Death which I have been absolutely dying to read.
And right now I have no words to describe the absolute impact Disbelief has had on me.
I knew going in that I was in for one hell of a ride as we were introduced to both Pollie and Death in Distrust.
Both polar opposites.
One pure and innocent.
One deadly dangerous.
And what I got.....Damn it's left me freaking speechless.
Raw, confronting, emotionally charged, stomach turning, dark, vile, hardcore, evil, sinfully delicious, comical, breathtaking, heartbreaking....These are things that come to mind for me after reading Disbelief.
I was captivated by the pure hatred and evil that I could feel through every page turned.
I was mesmerised by the rawness, depth and detail.
I was taken on a utter and complete gut wrenching journey that left me wanting more.
The banter between both Pollie and Death was so amusing, I often found myself giggling my butt off.
The attraction between them both was explosive.
Everything about Disbelief was just perfection at the highest of levels.

Pollie and Death will stay with me always.
Their story forever etched in my heart.

5 stars, because quite frankly this highly gruesome, breathtakingly beautiful read deserves so much more.

I loved Death in Distrust. His fascination with Pollie intrigued me and I couldn't wait to get inside his messed up head and understand him a bit more. And I got my wish!! Straightaway we get an insight into his past that explains a lot about his character and I was hooked.

I found Death to be a really complex character. He's quite emotionally immature, he has all these feelings and thoughts to do with Pollie and he doesn't know what to do with them. Not used to been around people or having feelings, been around Pollie confuses him. Does he want to keep her or kill her? The more I found out about his past, the more I loved him. It explains so much about him and I finally started to get what made him tick and why.

Pollie is independent, she's stronger than people think and she can't help but feel the strange pull between her and Death. Even knowing he can't be a good person (come on, he's called Death that doesn't exactly make you picture a happy go lucky kinda guy) she's determined to dig deeper to see the man she knows is hiding behind all the darkness. I really like Pollie. She's sympathetic, strong and kind hearted. She's the light to his dark, the calm to his storm.

Full of intense, confusing emotions, twists and plenty of action, TL Smith has managed to keep me guessing how it was going to end yet again. I didn't think she could pull Deaths story off to my liking (I have this habit of writing the endings in my head and then complaining when they don't match) but she did a fantastic job with Death and Pollies story.

WOW!!! What do I say about this twisted as hell book. It was great and I must say that I didn't think TL Smith could get anymore twisted but hell she did and she did it so well. I can honestly say that this is one of her best books to date.

I really wasn't sure where this book would go after the end of Distrust and what happened but she went all crazy and took us on the journey of a relationship that you could see was never going to work but you just knew that it had to for both Death and Pollie's sake.

I held my breath whilst I read some of this book, I cringed, shouted, cried and laughed hard. If that is even possible but with a mind like Death's you giggle at some of his ways.

I really recommend this great book. It will leave you wondering where someone gets ideas like this from and shocked at just how much you love it. TL Smith is a special kind of twisted and has become one of my favourite authors to read.

3.5 stars
Sadly I have some really strong mixed feelings regarding this book.

On the one hand I can say that I totally loved it, because I adore Pollie and I think Death is a really interesting character with a fucked up mind who I yet need to figure out.
Prove that I enjoyed reading it is that I mostly lost track of time on my way to work. My 30min journey felt like 5min. Therefore this book deserves all possible stars.

So, here I am, giving it "only" 3.5 stars. You might ask "why?". My issues are similar to the ones I had with Distrust, but somehow it's kind of another level. I'm giving 4 stars, because of the captivating writing style and I'm intrigued with the dark mafia world T.L. Smith created with this series.

My first issue is that the ending felt totally rushed and it kind of let me sit there totally unsatisfied. It was like "That's it? Honestly?" and "No way it ends here just like this.". Something is missing. Things went suddenly too fast. IMO this kind of an open end of Pollie's and Death's story.

The second thing that doesn't sit so well with me is the lack of character development. Compared to the other books I've read of T.L. Smith, this was shallow. I'm ok with Pollie's development but I don't see any real improvement within Death. I didn't feel his change. The way he feels towards Pollie and why he starts to accept his feelings. For me it felt more like giving in to a new addiction instead of dealing and working with feelings totally new to him.

Pollie and Death have an undeniably and obvious chemistry and attraction. But the only one I really see and feel working for what she wants, is Pollie. She tries to figure out her feelings toward Death and accepts him for what he is and tries to get to know his world. But I don't see this thing from Death's side. As Death is the most interesting character in this series, I'm sad T.L. Smith didn't reach his full potential. Maybe we get a #2.5 novella with some deeper insights into Death's dark and fucked up mind ;-)

"It's so much more than that stupid word. I think you stole half of me the minute I saw you. I only feel full when you are around."

"Every time you breathe near me, it fills my soul, sparking life back into me. Only you can do that."

"She may be the calm to my storm, but she brings the lightning without even realizing it."

"I shake my head at her. Place her hand on my heart. "It beats just for you. If you die, I'll follow. You know that, right?""

Every time TL Smith mentions a new release we are dying to see her synopsis. TL's synopsis' are intriguing, they always pull us in leaving us wanting more! We are loving the Smirnov Bratva Series, Distrust hooked us leaving Kristy in a huge book funk, she couldn't read for over a week, that ending! After getting to know Death in Distrust we were so excited to hear he was getting his own book.

We are taken back to Death as a young man and discovering how he became consumed by blood and death.

"I was fucked, and I relished in it. Loved it. I was as twisted as a pretzel, and burnt as a marshmallow cooked over a bonfire. And anyone that got too close would end up the same way."

Death has never had a relationship, he pays to have his fill of women, they do whatever he asks. He has a dark and depraved addiction for blood in and out of the hedroom. He doesn't do feelings and to him Love is a meaningless word. No woman has ever caught his attention, until Pollie. Pollie embeds herself under his skin, he is fighting a constant battle with himself the want and need to do things to her is nothing like he's felt before. But is it enough that he won't taint her purity.

“Love, I want your thoughts on it.”
“It’s not real. It’s what people tell one another to make them feel better. It’s all in the brain, some sort of chemical reaction. It’s not in the soul.”

Pollie may not have her sight, but her other senses are heightened, she can feel and sense things that others can't. She knows deep down Death would never hurt her. He may not be a man with many words but she can feel him. It's a dangerous world Death lives in and what he does for a living is not for the faint hearted, will Pollie still want to be with Death when he reveals what does? Will Death be able to cope with these new feelings or will the need for blood take over?

"I don’t need these emotions, or whatever they are that course through me every time that woman is near. I don’t even understand it, let alone want them."

Kristy- TL Smith never ceases to amaze me with depth she goes to with her characters. Her expressive storytelling with a heroine without sight and a dark twisted man of few words is amazing. TL continues to go from strength to strength her books filled with suspense, passion and twists that will always keep you guessing. Always expect the unexpected when you read a book TL Smith!

“Don’t you see… you are what brings life into me? Do you even realize it? Every time you breathe near me, it fills my soul, sparking life back into me. Only you can do that.”

Kayla- T.L. is known for the dark and twisted spins she puts in her books but when Death is in the spotlight, I knew it would be taken to a whole new level. Her writing captivated me, I devoured this masterpiece in one sitting. A fast paced page turner that will have you on your seat until the very last word.

5+ Death Stars!! I thought book was was sexy, HA…. just wait until you read book two! Death is my life!

 photo 5 Buttons.jpg_zpshyhsjgb0.jpg

Death has never been one to have feelings for anything or anyone. But when he meets Pollie, he starts to feel things he’s not used to. Pollie is blind, but she knows that there’s something about Death she can’t stay away from, even though he tried to slit her throat.. Yeah you read that correctly. Even though both are warned to stay away from each other, neither can seem to do just that. Death is scared of feeling anything for her and Pollie has feelings for a man she doesn’t even know… can these two really make it work?

Wow… after the ending of book one… I knew I needed book two… ASAP. And I was not disappointed with how this book started. Death is a complicated man, but that doesn’t stop you from falling head over heels for him. He’s everything your mother warned you about. He gets off on Death and destruction. Pollie is the light to his darkness and while he’s conflicted over his feelings for her… He knows she’s everything he needs. T.L. Smith has knocked this book out of the park!! I am in love with this series and I can’t wait for the next one!

You know I have no idea what to say. I really don't. I'm trying to think of what to write and my mind is completely blank.

TL Smith is a special kind of twisted bugger, and you wouldn't think it when you look at her innocent face or when you talk to her. But when you discover one of her books you discover a whooolllle new side to her.
She twists the sick and twisted and then sits back and watches you squirm when you read. It happens every time and DISBELIEF is no different.

Death is an enigma...he is Death. Cold. Calculated. Ruthless. Unfeeling. Someone nobody wants to meet.

But Polly does.

She is life...Warm. Inviting. Loving and kind. The polar opposite to Death. They shouldn't work. She should steer clear, but she doesn't....

"I'm not invisible, I'm just the girl who stupidly fell for an undertaker."

I have been left speechless with this book. 'DISBELIEF' takes us on an angst ridden, fascinating journey of life and death. Of a relationship which shouldn't work but at the same time is absolutely perfect. I was captivated from the moment I opened the first page and left with wanting more.

Raw, captivating, ruthless, dark and sometimes downright vile these are a just a few words I could use to describe Disbelief.

TL really knows how to suck you into a scene. I could feel everything. Smell everything. Every meticulous detail and the rawness of it, fascinated me so much I didn't want to leave.

The back and forth from Polly and Death had me laughing and even more so when it came to Anton and Death. It was so out of character from him you couldn't help but to laugh.

It is a definite 5* read for me and I couldn't recommend it more.
If you're looking for a story that completely takes over your senses and still leaves you wanting more then this is the book for you.

This series just keeps on getting better and yes is definitely one of the best ones. This book is of Death and Pollie. I was absolutely intrigued about Death, about why would a person like to be even called that was a mystery to me. But this book gives us a deep and clear look into the dark and twisted psyche of Death. How his mind works, why he is the way he is. But even though he is dark and dangerous still his love for Pollie made me see him as a human after all.
Pollie is just a really sweet girl and although I was really scared for her as she was coming close to a very dangerous man who even tried to almost kill her. But even her soul recognises the deep feelings that even death is not aware of yet.
For Pollie finding even something as basic as his birth name is extremely special and she doesn't stop until she has death completely under her spell yet doesn't even seem to realise the pull she has on him.
I have to say the author has written this book quite fantastically as I feel she has done complete justice in portraying the very contrast characters of Death and Pollie as one is The Dark and the other is the Light.
Again at the end of the book, we have a little tid bit that has me scrambling to see what happens with Victor and Freya. So I'm diving straight into the next one. Loved loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

QueenZany 4.5 Star Review

Disbelief

T.L. Smith

WTF???? Holy Mother of God!!!
“Disbelief” is a scrumptious, dark, mind altering daze!!
Filled with death, destruction, suspense, gritty and fucktastic romance. One that can only be called jaw dropping and mouth watering all at the same time. Yes it’s darker than the previous book. But the story seems to flow at a faster and steadier pace. Which ultimately keeps you enticed. Just waiting for the next scene to hit you like a freight train!! BOOM!!!!
Yet one minute you want to close your eyes, imagining your Pollie and Death. Then the next you're stunned by the scene unfolding before your very eyes. Gasp! Shock! AWWW! Oh and hot as fuck!! But executed so brilliantly. You can’t help but fall hard, for this cast of dysfunction characters!

I received a copy of this book from the Author/Publisher" is sufficient for your disclaimer.

This is not your typical romance so if you are looking for that boy meets girl, boy likes girl, they fall in love and live HEA then this is not the book for you. However if you like your mafia romances with a dark theme then this one should be top on your list. Their story surrounds Death (yes pun intended) but remember dark needs light and light needs dark just like day needs night and this is what these two are. Death and Pollie's story isn't light and fluffy but it is a love story all the same. Absolutely fantastic book for the second instalment in this series.

Um... Whew... So I didn't expect that but WOW!!! Death has always been a mystery to me and I am sure all of you as well. I missed reading this and Defiance before reading Dismissed so you can see why I am so wowed.. lol

Pollie being the blind independent woman and Death being the crazy fool he is seems like the most unlikely of couples but they are the perfect match. She's crazy for being with him and well he's just crazy period. lol

Being that I knew the ultimate ending it was still nice to read the background of the relationship between Pollie and Death. To see a softer side of Death definitely was nice but to know only she can bring that out of him was even better. I'm glad I am getting to read the ones I missed for sure!!!

After the way Distrust ended I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. And let me tell you once again T.L. Smith doesn't disappoint. I literally devoured this book. I could not stop reading. Just when you think T.L.'s stories cant get any more twisted than what you have already read by her, she shocks you and does just that and I loved every single word of it.

These two characters couldn't be more different if you tried. Where Pollie is light, Death is just that Death, dark, dangerous. This book had me crying, laughing, a little grossed out, as well as yelling at the characters to just get their head out of their rear end.

Like all of T.L.'s books i recommend this with 10 AMAZING gold stars. But make sure you read Distrust first to understand some of the dynamics that are going on in the story!! <3

We are two opposites, shes too good and I'm to bad

I never thought I would be saying this in a sentence but I love Death and it's TL SMITH's fault.

Death, the name given to a man who in the previous book intrigued me and still did. All he knows is death he's a victim, he's a produce of a father that from a young age taught him nothing else. Death doesn't know love, he gets lost in his work of cutting up bodies, that's his job and he's the master of it.

Death
Some preffered to read, watch movies, I preferred death, it was as simple as that. It was my escape forever, or how long it would take me.

Like an artist would get lost in his paintings, a cello player in the strokes of the bow, Death got lost in, well, death.

In the previous book you can see Death's facination with Pollie, the blind musician, the friend of Elina, beautiful and innocent and not marred with the mafia world they all live in and Deaths reaction to Pollie was almost like a possessiveness an obsession, I knew then Death and Pollie's story would evolve into a great story and I was not disappointed.

Pollie:
My life was happy, flowers and rainbows and all that shit. Then came a spark, a spark I didn't know about when he touched my hands, holding them like his lifeline.

TL Smith has one wicked mind, this is not a conventional love story it's dark, gritty has scenes that if it was in your real world you probably won't sleep again but I love it. I love the thrill of the difference TL Smith brings to romance with a big fat twist, who wants boring and normal all the time there's always room for the dark and twisted from the world of Mafia madness and TL Smith delivers it brilliantly.

"Perfection shouldn't be marred not on the outside anyway"

The transformation of Death to Dmitry and what Pollie changes in him leaves you in disbelief, a man like death you couldn't picture falling in love but he found Pollie or rather Pollie found him.

Another brilliant gripping read from TL Smith, who's books I love and can't put down once I pick up and they always leave me looking forward to the next one.

3.5 STARS

I was so intrigued with Death's character when I met him in Distrust. He was a man of very little words. He was fascinated with death and loved his job with the Bratva. And his appearance at the end of the first book I knew I HAD to read his story, so I was excited to read about him and Pollie.

The book started out strong, but there were changes in the characters that I couldn't quite wrap my head around. Pollie and Death shared a confusing yet strong connection and that was evident in the from their first meeting, but they both changed and it didn't feel like a natural progression to their characters. There were behaviors that didn't make sense to me.

I didn't understand why Pollie had a problem with his job for the Bratva. If she was anyone else, I could have bought that. But after what he did in the finale of Distrust, I would've thought that would have been much more worse. But she instantly forgave him for that.

Also, Death was always an emotional void. And for the most part that remains true throughout the story, but I didn't see his growth within the story to explain how different he was at the end. It was like someone turned a light on and the change in his character was instant.

I knew the story would be intense, but I was hoping for a more tangible feel from both characters.

«Maybe that’s why I want to kill her. So I can see what her insides look like, to check if they’re as clean as she is on the outside»

He literally said this in the beginning how am I supposed to root for him ? He indeed tried to kill her and when they tried to stop him from it by shooting him the heroine felt bad and she couldn’t stand the thought of him getting hurt because of her . Girl bffr
Later in the book he goes to the strip club and he is thinking that maybe he will find a hooker that looks like the heroine so he could fuck and gets lap dances from random women like what is this ? I’m surprised from all the high ratings , like I love dark romance but this is not it,it seemed more like a horror ! I originally had dnf this but I wanted to see where this goes I wish I had .

His job is to dispose human bodies and when they bring him a woman that he needs to do this to her that’s what he is thinking :

«One table is bare when I walk down, the other holds a woman. She would have been beautiful alive, I would have paid to fuck her. Her tits are perfect, her hair is long and runs down the sides of her arm, and her body toned.»

And he is saying this after he has been sexually with the heroine 🤮

The cherry on top are the tear drops tattoos he has on his face .

::..Reviewed for Red's Midnight Readers..::

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have given it 5 "deadly" stars.

Death.
Dark. Brooding. Mysterious.
A man with no emotions, completely detached.
The only constant in his life is death and that's just the way he likes it.

Until Pollie.
She is everything he isn't.
She is good and pure, and Death doesn't understand the feelings she undoubtedly stirs within him.
This is their story.

I loved Distrust wholeheartedly but the moment we were introduced to Death, I knew I loved him more and I couldn't wait to read his tale.

And do you know what? Disbelief surpassed all expectations. I knew I would love this book, I just didn't expect it to consume me the way it did!

It was raw and passionate and utterly consuming.

The chemistry between Death and Pollie was electric and the banter between the two characters was hilarious. T.L. Smith was on fire, when she wrote this tale of lust and drama.
I was captivated by the delicious darkness that emanated from within the pages and devoured it in one sitting.

Absolutely amazing.

More of this please!

Absolutely phenomenal! 5 Deathly Stars
TL Smith has excelled herself with Disbelief....it's one of her best books yet.

So I absolutely could NOT wait for this book. The anticipation was driving me to distraction and OH MY GOD was it worth the wait? Absofrigginlutely!!

Distrust (Book 1) was just amazing and gave us that introduction to Death. I was completely and utterly fascinated with Death from the word go and Disbelief just cemented that fascination!

Death is such a dark and twisted soul. Somehow TL Smith manages to take a sick and twisted character and make us love them without question and without judgement. We just open our hearts and let Death in and take up residence and then leave us wondering how he got there and why the hell we like him so much.

If you like a dark read, make this series your next. You will not be disappointed.
It's dark, raw and gritty and actually beautiful in a twisted way. A perfect combination of angst, anticipation and love. A love that is not your typical fairy tale romance but love all the same.

Go one-click, do it now.....it's amazing!! But please start with Distrust, it's a must.

Death and Pollie have to be the most opposite and most adorable couple this far in the Smirnov Bratva series!!
Death, doesn't really need an introduction, especially after reading Distrust! Pollie is oblivious to the dark world that happens everyday around her, not only because she is blind, but she never experienced that side until she agrees to go out with her friend and her world explodes..... LITERALLY!!!!! And of all the people to save her life is the one that enjoys taking them instead.
Watching their story unfold was such an emotional rollercoaster, that I didn't want to get off of. I fell even more in love with all of the characters and I love that all of the characters get more developed, the more we get into the series!!!! I definitely CAN NOT WAIT to see what happens next
I really appreciate a series that the storyline continues throughout the series while concentrating on a specific couple.

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

So I've sat staring at my computer screen for at least ten minutes now and I still don't really know where to start.

Typically I struggle with books that have a darker nature to them so I was a little leery with this one as I knew enough about Death from book #1 to know what he was all about.

That being said, any preconceived notions I had flew straight out the window by the time I was done the first chapter. The character of Death is unlike anything I have ever read but in all the best ways. I literally messaged the Author and told her I could have read an entire series just about him, I loved him that freaking much!

Without giving a ton of stuff away, I just have to say that this book has skyrocketed to my favorite book of 2016! I cannot stress enough how badly people need to read this. You will literally be left sitting there feeling horrified, heart broken and hot and bothered all at once.

This is an absolute MUST READ and I can only hope that one day we will get more of Death and Polly!
