I wish this had more of Bonhoeffer’s letters from prison included. It was nice to have an insight into his personal correspondence away from his ministry and theological positions, particularly because they show how his ideas began to change and how his faith was so engrained into his sense of self.

Doesn't do him justice. But a compelling place to start.

Nice, brief overview of his life and writings. I would read next either his biography or "The Cost of Discipleship."

I enjoyed reading the selections as a starting point. The preface was wordy and didn't add much to the selections.

Super dry but well written. It was interesting to see the changes of his beliefs after ten years in prison.
