This educational book for children that can read well or enjoy being read to covers the life cycle of the loggerhead turtle in great detail. It explains how female loggerhead turtles come ashore along the Florida coastline and lay their eggs as well as explaining why there are fewer and fewer turtles due to many factors. This book provides plenty of factual information for readers fascinated with marine life or turtles. Caroline Arnold's books are all well-written and are written in a way that children can relate to without being "dumbed down."
