THE MAGNATE’S MAIL-ORDER BRIDE has to be the best contemporary fake engagement story I have ever read!

Sofia Kostov is a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, and dancing is her life. Sofia is an American citizen; however her father adheres to the old-fashioned Ukrainian way of doing things, and he wants Sofia to get married instead. The American McNeill brothers are in a similar predicament: in order to get their inheritance, their grandfather insists they must get married the sooner t

I know that I get a good solid romance story when I pick up one of Joanne Rock's books and this one was no exception. Joanne Rock is one of my favorite romance authors and I like her writing style and have enjoyed the books I read so far. And this was another great read by this author. Fake engagement plot lines aren't my favorite, but Joanne Rock totally made that plot line work for me in th

This one is for the books, if I thought I had read it all, I hadn’t . Once in a book comes in surprises me in the least expected way. Mail order Brides aren’t any thing new. But what happen when it a case of mistaken identity and threaten to derails everyone’s plans.

Rock got an idea or two about that. It is why she has been so long in the game and writing for Harlequin for a number of

I received this book from the publicist in return for my honest, unabridged, unadulterated, unfiltered review. So, here it is.

I liked this book. It began as a frustrating mix of whiney, spoiled heiress and her bitchy, annoying dance troupe she-cats, but eventually, the hero came along and saved the story. Quinn was a big softy who appeared to be a hard-edged, cold-hearted businessman, but he was hiding a soft, melty center.

Sofia is determined to fulfill her dance dreams, no matter what obstacle

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but I have to admit, I couldn't get enough of it. Sofia Koslov is a ballerina whose career is on the line, when a rich, entitled playboy who believes she's his mail order bride. But his brother, Quinn Mc Neill fixes the media problem with a switcheroo, as he will pretend to be her fiance. Sophia has one rule, they won't share a bed. There, that should be enough to intrigue people everywhere, as it's one of the best fake engagements stories that I've r ...more

The Magnate's Mail - Order (The McNeill Magnates) by Joanne Rock
When Sofia set out on her own, she was not prepared for all the drama that ensued. From overbearing fathers, to spiteful colleagues, grueling schedules and matters of the heart, the hits keep coming. The key is not to lose herself while dealing with everything else. Joanne Rock balances humorous drama while conveying words of wisdom and speaking to the heart with The Magnate's Mail-Order Bride. Ms. Rock set the stage for what look

★★★½ I went into reading this book with mixed feelings, fake engagement and billionaire stories are currently a dime a dozen. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. The characters had a depth I didn't expect which added another dimension to the book. I liked Quinn, Sofia was okay. The author made me understand why she was the way she was, but I still prefer my heroines a bit less whiney and bitchy. Overall a good book, especially if you like "Harlequin" style books.

I really enjoyed this.

A matchmaker mix up has strangers Sofia and Quinn agreeing to a fake engagement, Quinn to appease Sofia’s father and keep a business deal alive, Sofia, to avoid any questionable publicity as she goes up for the biggest audition of her ballet career.

Generally settings don’t really stand out for me unless it’s in a bad way where it’s overly described to the point of slowing the story, but for a book that takes place in NYC this was surprisingly outdoorsy, and Joanne Rock di

Sofia is a ballerina vying for a major dance position and Quinn McNeil is a business magnate who refuses to believe his grandfather would really demand he marry in order to inherit the McNeil business interests. Good Sensitive Story

Cultural clashes and family interferences was what brought a unlikely couple together. However the spark between the. Was real and after some very short ups and downs they really began to talk and see a future. Now the thought that in the course of two weeks they would fall in love the forever kind is a little far fetched but I liked how they planned to take it slow but keep the ring on her finger.

I loved the story. It was an expected unexpected story between to very unlikely to be matched characters.

Expected, since you know that eventually they will have their happy ever after. But unexpected, because of the chain of events.

Book arrived in my romance crate.

I couldn’t connect with the characters. I wasn’t invested in them or their relationship. I was actually quite bored and wasn’t sure I was ever going to finish the book. Then I did and found it less than satisfying.

Yet again Joanne Rock nailed it! This story is absolutely desirable. Sophia and Quinn are love at first site but refuse to see it because of everything else around them. The intensity between the Sophia and Quinn is unmistakable. Sophia has so much on her plate with her future career and Quinn is trying to help with the media storm for her as well as keep the secret of his dying grandfather so he can keep his inheritance. These two are exactly what each other needs if they can ever get passed th ...more

What a cute love story, where unexpectedly two people who probably never would've met without two others doing something completely unorthodox. Because of Quinn's brother Cam wanting to get married due to his grandfather's will and Sofia's father trying to hurry her to the altar. Sofia and Quinn meet for the first time in the airport while she has a reporter waiting to get a story about her as a ballerina, not the possibility of her being proposed to by one of the wealthiest and most
