As a child I was stolen, cornered into a life I never wanted. Now I’m eighteen and they’ve given me to a vampire. Roman is the most beautiful man I have ever seen. He stirs up feelings inside me that I didn’t know existed. I was raised to be the perfect blood courtesan, existing only to feed him and submit to his every whim, but the vampire won’t lay a finger on me. He won’t set me free either. We’re at an impasse. Which of us will break first?

Stolen: A Vampire Blood Courtesans Romance By: Marissa Farrar 5 out of 5 stars
The story Stolen: A Vampire Blood Courtesans Romance by Marissa Farrar is a paranormal vampire story. Dakota has been raised to be a Blood Courtesan since she was 12 years old. Now the time has come for her to be purchased by a vampire and start her new life. When she first meets Roman she is confused as he is not what she expects a vampire to be like. Dakota is very confused until she learns of the reason she was purchased. What does this revelation mean for her and Roman’s future?
This is a wonderful story. It is told from the POV of Dakota. You will love the story and the characters. I was drawn to both Dakota and Roman. They both have strong and independent personalities and complement each other. This book also tugged at my heart and I found myself either brokenhearted by a situation or upset at characters for how they treat others.
This book is written so that it is very hard to put down. If you love stories that are paranormal and you love vampires, I highly recommend it. It is part of a series regarding Blood Courtesans however it can be read as a stand-alone. I would suggest that readers should be 18 years or older for some adult content and situations along with violence. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
This is a short fast paced novella that manages to deliver a good story-line, rounded believable characters and get to the emotions of the situation without feeling too rushed. It is a tale about a woman trafficking young human girls to be blood courtesans to vampires and focuses on Dakota, newly sold, having been in training for 6 years. The story takes some unexpected paths which keeps the pace up and the interest keen. There are a couple of sex scenes but they fit well and are not gratuitous. For me it could have been better as a longer book but nonetheless a very worthy 4 star read. I received an ARC from the Author and have chosen to leave a review. I review everything I read these days regardless of price or where the book came from and always give my honest opinion.
Excellent book. So far all of the blood courtesan books have been great to read. All well written, with relatable characters, and all aspects needed to make great books.
This titillating tale is the beginning of the second standalone series of the Blood Courtesans and what a wondrous story it is. Sultry vampires, raging jealousy, betrayal, action, suspense, life-threatening incidents, secrets, lies unfold, and tears, accompany burning sensual romance. Yes, there is a happy ending but conquering the obstacles of impending danger is imperative.
Dakota was stolen as a toddler from her family to become a well-trained Blood Courtesan. In a hidden compound, shielded from the outside world she is trained by a woman she calls mother. The girls, stolen are well educated and taught proper etiquette to enter the world of vampires. At the age of eighteen, they are sold for a considerable amount of money; their untouched status is wanted by many vamps. Dakota is sold to Roman a strikingly handsome sexy vamp who wants her but avoids his need. Roman has a secret, and unbeknownst to him, a deadly danger is coming for him.
The plot moves quickly and you are immediately drawn into the story with credible characters and breathtaking vivid scene descriptions. Though Roman is her master, Dakota fears him not and stands up to his arrogant demeanor; loved her character. Adored Roman and his secret is heartbreaking. Their romance gets a bumpy start, but the conclusion is so very sweet. The story is definitely entertaining and holds your interest until the end. I do look forward to the next book in this series. If you treasure vampire romance, this is a fabulous book for your library. In the world of vampire romance, the magic begins with the first thought to paper. {I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way}. Without reservations, I recommend this book
Intriguing and Unusual Spin within the Blood Courtesan series!!
Dakota only vaguely remembers a not-so-great mom. She was taken at an early age, then at 12 placed into training as a blood courtesan. At 18 the girls are sold to their vampire buyer – and today is her birthday. Roman is attractive, aloof and has his own reasons for buying Dakota.
Without giving any storyline away – I can only say that this is a unique take on the Blood Courtesan theme as these girls do not find themselves in a jam and volunteer. They are stolen and/or kidnapped and sold to their vampire for profit. The reasons behind Romans actions and the frustration that Dakota exhibits – she was raised for one purpose, and Roman will not fulfill that purpose – makes for a suspenseful, touching and sexy story. I am so glad to see this series continue!!
My first Marissa Farrar read – but not my last!
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
Definitely my favorite in the series. This one is a little different from the rest of the books, though. While the other heroines from previous novels more or less freely decided to enter the world of the courtesans, this novel deals with child kidnapping and young girls being trained and auctioned off to vampiric owners. Dakota's owner is definitely in it for the right reason, though. I'm detracting a star because I found Damota's petulant and self-assured behavior out of character for a girl that's been brainwashed for years, but otherwise this was a quick and entertaining story.
Being a blood courtesan might be a curse or a dream. When a new girl leaves the training center, she always feels excited and afraid at the same time, not knowing what to expect. But when Dakota meets her new owner, Roman, he exceeds every one of her wildest dreams. Only he doesn't want to get close to her, touch her or feed on her, and everything Dakota has been taught seems wrong. She fights and defies her master courageously, daring him to open to her, until they get to know each other and eventually fall in love. However, Roman has his own private mission to fulfill, and Dakota might help him to finish it. Lovely quick-paced romance with strong and entertaining characters and catching catching plot. The whole story is packed with emotions, open and clear on the surface, that create a deep connection with the characters and deliver the pleasure for the reader of feeling the same. Dakota is stubborn and naive in a cute way, with deep concern about the other girls in training, loving heart and strong feel of protectiveness. Roman is a charming beast, seductive but vengeful, hiding a warm heart in his cold body. They are a great match, although finding a way to each other seems sometimes pretty hard. I loved the story and I am curious about how this series would continue. I volunteered to read an ARC.
The Blood Courtesan series continues with a very different style book! Before the girls have either volunteered or been backed into a financial corner and became a courtesan to get out of sticky position. Poor Dakota was stolen and trafficked as a child and on reaching adulthood sold to the highest bidder!
But her new owner leaves her dazed and confused. He feeds her, clothes her but doesn't seem to want to feed from her or ...you know the other thing!
Roman has been vampire for over a century and has one overarching need. The need to find out who took his daughter and what happened to her. Then he will rain fire down on those responsible. When Dakota finds out he plans to take down the "Madame" who trained her, Dakota hops on the revenge train and gladly helps Roman. The fact that she is in love with the mysterious vampire is just icing on the cake!
Dakota is naive, stubborn to the extreme and has no fear in tackling an equally stubborn vampire who doesn't seem to want anything from her. She has a protective streak towards the other trainees and seemed quite motherly in her concern. Roman is cold on the outside but sure can light up the room with passion! Can't wait for more in this series!
Stolen: A Vampire Blood Courtesans Romance by Marissa Farrar 5 Stars
Great Story. Not the typical Blood Courtesan one. Most are willing participants but the girls in here have been taken at a young age and raised by a woman they call Mother who eventually grooms and sells them to vampires when they come of age. She not what she appears to be, she is actually very evil in here. They have lost their say in what happens to them...or have they?
Roman was one a human man searching for his daughter that was taken from him and sold. Now a vampire himself years later he is searching for the woman who took her.
Roman is great character in here, he's strong, determined and will stop at nothing to right the wrongs these woman have endured. Dakota is the girl who has come of age and will be sold next. But when the vampire seems bent on not touching or taking care of her, all her training seems to be in vain, but why? She is also a strong woman but he stubbornness is funny at times and will test her to her limits.
Great PNR Read. Mature Readers 18+, strong language and sexual content.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book by the author. Reviewer for Nook Books and More Blog
This is the next book in the Blood Courtesans series. Thus is Dakota and Roman's story. Young girls are taken and trained by "Mother" until they are eighteen and sold to vampires for their pleasure. Dakota is sold to Roman who has a secret agenda; revenge against the vampire who took his daughter when he was human and sold her. Dakota teams up with Roman to exact this revenge and rescue the rest of the girls still held captive Once again we are taken to the world of the Blood Courtesans. This is a story of revenge and love. Dakota, even though she was trained to please vampires, has a strong will and is not afraid to speak her mind even though she was trained to please. Even though Roman is out for vengeance, he is still able to find love. This was another great story in this series. The two main characters were strong and Dakota didn't falter when it came time to help the other girls to safety. I would be interested to read about Lucas's and Christa's story. I like this series and look forward to reading other books in this series
Roman Kramar has been searching for the woman resposible for the loss of his child and for him being a vampire. He has been searching for this evil woman vampire who has made it a habit of kidnapping female children in order to raise them to be Blood Courtesans. He purchases Dakota from her in order to finally get to her. What he didn't count on was Dakota getting under his skin.
Dakota was kidnapped at the young age of 12 and raised for this moment at her 18th birthday. Problem is she never thought she would be so attracted to this vampire that has purchased her and can't understand why he doesn't want her.
We hear so much about children that disappear everyday and though they are not sold to vampires of course, they undergo terrible ordeals not much different from having the blood sucked out of them. This is a story that brings home the very horrible truths of our society by means of the paranormal world.
Dakota has been training for the last six years to be one of the elite blood courtesans who are bought and owned by some of the most prestigous of vampires. At eighteen, she will be sold to her new master and leave the only "home" she has known. Roman has been a vampire for the last hundred years and has been searching for the vampire madam who stole his little girl and made her a blood courtesan. His one goal is to make her pay with her life and when he tracked her to New York and had a chance to bid on one of her "students " he did to try and find exactly where she was. Being owned by Roman was nothing like what she was trained for and Dakota couldn't understand what was wrong. This book is so well written, you won't want to put it down. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way. I recommend it to all PNR lovers.
New Author ... Blood Courtesans, Vampires ... Children stolen from there homes, some never really remembering there lives before, find them selves with The Madam, locked away till they turn eighteen ... Sold ... Trained to be the best ..... This was a exciting addition to this wonderful series, I would definitely recommend... I will be looking to connect more with this author. I enjoyed her way of writing the tension both sexual and story wise. Her characters where well developed and the story was easy to read with out being boring. I signed up for the advance copy, for a honest review.
The emotions are so raw and true that you can't help feeling them at times with Dakota. She is very brave to challenge a vampire in the manner she does, but she knows no other way to make him see her point of view. Dakota is a great lead all the way around. Roman is well defined and his reasons for the things he does are really swoon worthy. It's a great quick read! I'd love to see a continuation with Crista and Lucas.
Stolen by marissa farrar is a blood courtesan romance. As a child in was stolen, cornered into a life I never wanted. Now I'm 18 and they have given me to a vampire. Wow. OMG. What a read. My name is Roman Kramar, and I am your master. 5 BLOODY FANGS
You understand why you’re here? To be a companion to a vampire. I’ll do everything I can to satisfy you. ME: *bows down* Hello Master. Is there any way I can *ahem* service you? What she said, but double. *naughty wink* WOW!! SIGN ME UP!!!! HOLY SMOKIN’ VAMPIRE, FANGMAN!! I kissed a Vampire and WHOA BABY! Did I EVER like it!! Hell, I LOVED IT!!! wink I am blown away by just how BLOODY WONDERFANG this story is!! The characters are well-developed & multifaceted, the storylines captivating, the story itself flows like blood through a vein, capturing my attention and my heart and never letting it go! THIS is the very reason I love, Love, LOVE Vampires so much!! Roman is ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY hot, sexy and oh so very perfect!!! This may be my first taste of Marissa, but it is DEFINITELY not the last!! This book is so.. so... so ABSO-FANG-LUTELY AWESOME that I can't even find the words to explain WHY I love it so much other than IT'S ABSO-BLOODY-LUTELY VAMPIRETACULAR!!! Roman is a Vampire God to me! The exact kind of Vampire that drew me to them in the first place oh so many years ago, that had me addicted, craving more, and wishing, praying, dreaming & hoping that Vampires were real and that I would one day find my own immortal ever after love in his arms! Marissa has captured that love, that essence perfectly! Dakota is one very, VERY lucky gal!! What I wouldn't give to be her! And thanks to Marissa, I WAS Dakota! Well, at least for the length of the story I was! Marissa is one FANGNOMENALLY talented author who sucked me straight into the story right from the very beginning, urging me, compelling me to live the story with Dakota, AS Dakota, thoroughly & immensely enjoying every single second!! The magic of the blood bond defies description! That is one more aspect of the Vampires that I fell in love with, craved with every fiber of my being, and yet not one that I have come across in a really long time! Never mind Roman, Marissa has STOLEN my heart!! I am completely, wholly, utterly consumed - mind, body, soul, blood & heart!! (While I love, Love, LOVED every single story in this BITETASTIC series of Michelle’s, Stolen is my FANGORITE! ssshhh! Don’t tell the other authors, okay? :) I DID love every story, but Stolen just had that extra magical touch for me! Not that I can really compare any of these stories to another! That is what makes this multi-author Blood Courtesans series so great – seeing, reading every authors contribution to this BLOODNOMENAL World!)
It is Dakota’s 18th birthday and time for her passing out ceremony; she is now a qualified owned courtesan, one raised for the sole purpose in life to be a companion to a vampire. Roman is her master and the most beautiful man she has ever seen; so, imagine her surprise when he rejects her. Dakota cannot understand why he isn’t interested in her; why would he buy her if he didn’t want to use her, none of it made any sense. Now he is bringing out the worst in her; she is bored and lonely and instead of being frightened of him, Dakota is angry - after all this is her life. Dakota had made her peace a long time ago that she would be sold to a vampire; she knew she would be owned, but she didn’t think she would be imprisoned on her own with none of the pleasures that had been promised to her. Dakota doesn’t realise that Roman is trying to protect her; he too has his reasons. The woman Dakota calls Mother took something from him. Mother is a vampire and this makes her especially dangerous, as is her ability to walk in the light; she too had once been a courtesan before seeing a business opportunity. Roman has been searching for her for years, to no avail, and is the first to have ever challenged her. Mother knew if anyone was going to draw Roman out of hiding and make him face her it would be Dakota. This was quite an exceptional book and one I enjoyed reading. The plot had quite a few twists and turns to make the story interesting and engaging. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
Stolen is a well thought out plot that keeps you guessing what is going on.
You go from a compound to a flat, and it keeps moving from there. The young lady first appears as a sheep but truth is she is a feisty young lady who will make you want to read her story.
Its a highly entertaining story that while not overly long is entertaining till the very end. Some nice twists that will leave it open if there is another book coming from this author for the Blood Courtesans!
I absolutely love this series and Stolen proves to be a wonderful addition to the group. Stolen has several stories within it's covers, and it completely enthralled me from start to finish. A book that has stayed with me for quite some time. This is the second time reading it and it is even better this time around.
Wow... This is definitely an intense paranormal romance.
It's as if they were destined from the start...
Even though this is a romance there is also drama, action, and so much more to the story. A definite page turner. It's also a quick and easy read... everything just flows seamlessly.
Dakota has hardly no memory of her real mother. Only the woman she calls mother now. She's been here for six years and now she's been sold to a vampire to be his blood Courtesan. Only the vampire Roman who bought her doesn't want her as a blood Courtesan and she doesn't know why. What's Romans big secret??? Great read.
This book was great. I loved the story and the characters. It has a great plot and I would like to read a follow-up book on these two lovers. Two thumbs up from me and five stars.
I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy!
I loved this book. Roman and Dakota are great together. I enjoyed the little twist to the bad guy. The outcome is pleasant. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I do recommend this book.
Sweet and dangerous, is what to expect when you read this installment of blood Courtesans. You will also gets a bunch of sass and that just adds spice.
I am really loving these books they re fun and everyone is so different, with different personalities and backgrounds.everyone is well written and exciting.
This is a great, short and fast read in the Blood Courtesan series. I was quickly drawn in to the story and didn't want to put the book down. This is novella length - I mention this because sometimes in novellas it feels as though the story is rushed, I didn't get that feeling with this story. I enjoyed the story line and liked the characters. An enjoyable way to spend an evening.
I voluntarily chose to review this title after receiving it from the atuhor.
