MacLomain: Later Years #1-4

The MacLomain Series: Later Years Boxed Set

Rate this book
Over a thousand pages of sweeping romance and unforgettable adventures. The MacLomain Series: Later Years is now available in a boxed set.

QUEST OF A SCOTTISH WARRIOR- Cassie first became interested in her long lost Broun clan when she realized life was about to change forever. Faced with possible blindness, she seeks out her Scottish bloodline only to discover there is so much more to it than she could have anticipated. Not only will she find answers to her questions but a doorway into the distant past via a Claddagh ring. Betrothed since birth to a lass he has never met, Chieftain Logan MacLomain thought the unending tie between his clan and the Brouns was long past. Never was he more wrong. When Cassie appears in a skirmish on the border of his clan’s land, all his noble intentions are put to the test.

HONOR OF A SCOTTISH WARRIOR- Nicole is tougher than most. Fearless some might say. Even in light of the fact she might be going deaf. Yet her courage is tested when the newfound Claddagh ring on her finger whisks her back in time to thirteenth century Scotland. Straight into the arms and under the protection of a man she would rather never see again. Cousin to the Laird, Niall MacLomain wants nothing more than to keep the future King of Scotland safe. Regrettably, that also means keeping safe a headstrong lass from the future. But his honor means everything. No matter how exasperated, he swore no harm would come to Nicole. However, protecting the feisty redhead ends up stirring his blood in more ways than one.

OATH OF A SCOTTISH WARRIOR- Haunted by childhood memories and the fact she is likely going mute, Erin embraces a quiet life in Vermont. A life away from all the mistakes she has made and the people she’s hurt. When a Claddagh ring crosses her path, she’s compelled to steal it. A bad move because it’s meant to find the last thing she’s looking for…true love. Of dragon blood, Chieftain Rònan MacLeod is by birth, half MacLomain. While raised to protect the future King of Scotland, he lives life with an open mind. The idea of a ring binding him to one lass seems far-fetched. However, when a woman named Jackie calls to him from the dark edges of the Celtic Otherworld, he swears an oath to save her. That means traveling to the future to protect her. The only problem? She’s not there. Instead, he finds a defiant lass named Erin. Now he must make a choice. Continue seeking out Jackie or protect the one he’s with.

PASSION OF A SCOTTISH WARRIOR- Over a month has passed since Jackie traveled back in time to medieval Scotland. Since then, it’s been a non-stop adventure. Now she’s in ninth-century Scandinavia with Heidrek, a Viking set to inherit the throne. A man that Darach is determined she be with despite the unforgettable kiss they shared. Then there’s the newfound Claddagh ring on her finger. It is foretold that its stone can only be ignited by the love of a MacLomain. Darach is by birth, the only remaining MacLomain not taken. Yet despite the power the ring’s glow could harness, she wants nothing to do with it. Not in light of her terrible secret. One she prays will keep any man from loving her because it will mean their ultimate ruin.

Ten

Can i give it a ten?
This set was amazing. A lot of thought and research went into these books. I had to rest between books to let all the info settle in my brain. Loved the history and
authors creativity with introducing time travel, magic and different gods. Each
book is a love story, not only with couples but with Scotland and her history. Just a
question remains in my mind, Heidrek is in the tapestry or back in his time?

Love can conquer all ...

This series is one I highly suggest reading. Especially when facing a disability. While it may be fictional, these stories inspire hope.
Be ready for an all-inspiring series. Aye, there is love throughout, but the battling of all the warriors, both the MacLomain Highlanders and their Broun lasses. These stories have no slow spots in them. From page one they are intense, remarkable, and play with all your senses. You’ll understand once you start reading.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series! I would love to give the series 10 stars if I could. Plus, one more suggestion. Read the dedications at the beginning of each story. It helps explain how these stories came to be.
Sky Purington, you outdid yourself with this series. Well done!

Amazing

One of the better blended series. Each set of characters amazing in their own right. Impossible to pick a set of characters over another one. Each couple facing adversity and learning to rely on each other and falling in love . Just such a well written book. Great plots, strong characters and an amazing journey. What more could you need?! Then you get to the back of the books and find out there are more series entwined. I am in heaven!

I have reviewed the individual books, but wanted anyone looking at this series, if you like Scottish romance, magic, wizardry and Dragons, you wont find a better selection for all off the above in this series.
In fact, any of Ms Purington's series about the Clan Boun and MacLomain are very entertaining reading.

Intreging twists & turns fantasy

These books kept me intrigued every step of the way. There were so many twists & turns in the story's that only fantasy could explain them. There were life lessons to learn aswell, with lots love. Some would think that true love between soul mates is only in romance stories, but I know personal that deep soul mated love can be found in real life.

I came across this series by chance and I couldn't be happier to have given it a chance. From the first book, the author allowed me to travel not only to different times in history but also to a universe where facts an fiction merge seamlessly. I not only highly recommend this series but I sure will be reading more of them.

The MacLomain Series. 1-4

One of the most involved and dramatic series I've ever read. Often reading through the night because there just isn't a stopping point that allows any rest. Meeting a new author is a high point. New to me, others found her and lucky for all of the readers.

I'm giving it a neutral rating because I only read the first few chapters before stopping. It is not my favourite style of writing and the story line progressed in a strange way that didn't pull me in.

I'm sure it's a great story that many enjoy, but just not for me.

This started out fine but over the long haul (and I do mean long!) it became more difficult to read. By the time I reached the 4th book I was really sure if I was keeping everyone straight in my head. I also wasn't so invested in the last story. Everything just felt convoluted.

Good storytelling. Needed better proofreading.

Very interesting story. Needed better proofreading. It was a little too predictable. Character development could have been more in depth.

The whole MacLomain/Broun Series is truly phenomenal! I can’t recommend it enough. I started with the first series and read all the books to the last series written. I could picture myself along with them on their adventures.

Imaginative

Good fast paced escape from reality. The characters are well developed and build a relationship so that many of the characters appear over & over again. (Spillover). The stories are good.

Saga continues!

I can't help being amazed at how S. Purington keeps it all together, how the past/future keeps moving forward through twists & turns. On to the next set of formidable warriors, damsels (not in distress), evil & righteous revenge!

Good

I read several of the MacLomain's series, however all of them out of order. I enjoyed this one the most and I don't know if it's because of all the previous ones I read or I just related stronger to these characters. But I always enjoy visiting with the MacLomain's.

Didn't finish. Got bored , wasn't my kind of book, too wordy and too elementary. Just not my kind of story... Too much love stuff and sex... Not a good story line for me...
