101 Spanish Riddles : Understanding Spanish Language and Culture Through Humor

Rate this book
Riddles are an essential component of Hispanic humor and folklore. 101 Spanish Riddles presents a fun and entertaining way to expand your knowledge of both Spanish language and culture. Some riddles rhyme, some play on words, some require lateral thinking, and some provide the answer in the question. Organized into ten thematic sections, each riddle is accompanied by a humorous illustration, an English translation, and the answer. In many cases, a dialogue or narrative presents the key vocabulary in a contemporary everyday context, for which translations are included at the back of the book.

this book I found was not really that humorous because they had a deeper maening to them then I had expected... Like how do you cross a falling bridge? Well the answer was "with fear" this wasn't that humorous because in Mexico there are several bridges that are usually controlled by drug gangs. The word fall can mean economic collapse where people are controlled by the BAD people. Then again some of them were ok... Like" what did the milk say to the sugar?" A: I'll meat you in the café. This is a play on word with the word café,because not only dose it mean a shop you go to but also it is a drink called coffee. :)

This book is awesome! I've learned a lot of riddles from it. They're really funny too. Like, "Cual es el colmo de un oso panda?"(What is the highest achievement of a panda bear?) You'll have a laugh with this book.
