A great book for grasping the basics of modern wooden boatbuilding. It covers all the basics as well as a great amount of detail. The book certainly makes the reader feel like he or she can go out and build a boat right away. There are times where it's obvious that the book was written in the last century, but as long as you don't expect a book from the 21st century, that isn't a problem.
