My thoughts on Defending Jagger & Stealing Dallas – books 1&2 in the “Search & Seek” series by Amanda Mackey.

As those were not the first books by this author that I read I knew that I was going to like her writing style and plot idea. But would I like the plot development and the characters ?

I read both books basically back to back for the release of Stealing Dallas which was a good thing as they need to be read together. “Defending Jagger’s” plot would allow it to be read as a stand

What would you do for the ones you love? Or more importantly what wouldn't you?

Jagger Reed is free at last. After being incarcerated for a crime he didn't commit, Jagger is now on the right side of the bars with the woman who believed in him enough to make it possible, the sweet creative writing teacher, Rose.

You'd think that with his new found freedom and a beautiful woman by his side, Jagger would be over the moon. Yet his not. There's one thing missing. One part of his soul he needs back. His

I preferred the first book.
There seemed to be more story in the first. I prefer sex in a story not a story about sex and this was too much like the the second.
What there was of the story was good and I did enjoy it.

This was a rollercoaster ride. Jagger and Rose grow closer in their journey to rescue Dallas. There are still unanswered questions so I'm hoping for another book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy via Blind Date with a Book.

I received this book through Quirky Blind Date with a Book for January.

I love the characters in this series, especially Jagger. I love the connection he has with his brother Dallas and how he will go to the ends of the earth in order to find him and bring him home. Rose was great too, she had such a big heart and wanted to help Jagger even though when she first meets him he was a convicted felon. She knew there was something good within him and pushed to find out the truth so that Jagger could h

Stealing Dallas picks up where defending Jagger left us. I loved reading this book and watching Rose and Jaggers relationship bloom. This book had me on my toes and screaming at my kindle in frustration. The author did an amazing job because I could actually feel Jaggers pain and sense of hope at things working out for him and life being fair for once. Even though Jagger is this strong guy who could physically handle just about anything I felt like in this story Rose was emotionally stronger and ...more

First of all love the writing. The author does well in wrapping you up in the story and getting lost in it. It is well written and flows well. My problem with the story is Rose. I can't say I understood or agreed with some of the choices she made even if it was for a good cause. Yes the passion was off the chart and while her heart is in the right place helping Jagger, it's all a little over the top. In saying that the story is so well written you kinda overlook that point. Now Jagger, he is int ...more

This is the second book that I've read by this author and it is book two of two. I immediately jumped into reading this book, so my reviews are back to back. Which is why I worded it a little funny. I highly recommend these books! Thank you blind date for hooking me up with another great author and books! Since I try my hardest, not to do spoilers, this will be a short review! This book picks up where the first book, Defending Jagger, left off. It is fast-paced, hold on to the

Stealing Dallas was the conclusion to Defending Jagger. It picks up immediately after Defending Jagger. I found the writing to be okay and it did flow okay, but I was still left with unanswered questions. Mainly, I still don't understand why Dallas was taken. Also, I really have a strong dislike of Rose and felt that the language used in some instances was too formal for the situation.

This is second book to Defending Jagger, and I can officially say I wasn't disappointed.
This book starts off from where Defending Jagger ended.
I loved how Rose and Jagger progressed in their relationship, and how they stayed beside each other through it all.
I was shocked throughout, but was so easy to follow. I really loved how Dallas, Rose and Jagger was protrayed.
I recommend this series.

Rose is a better woman than I. I felt for Dallas and Jagger, but Rose sacrificed so much to make it work.
