Can Mike battle back from the final outcome? Now that the world needs him the most. New and old threats emerge to claim a war-ravaged world on the verge of collapse. Lana, Bailey and Azile the Red Witch have assembled all that remains of man in one final battle that could determine the fate of mankind forever. And it just might not be enough.
I can't see ever getting tired of Mark Tufo's books. Michael Talbot is still my all-time favorite fictional character of all time. Although this story has trace elements of the previous one from the series, as far as plot points go, there was still enough originality to keep it fresh. Add to that Mike's evolution of relationships with those around him, the addition of a very interesting new villian, the constant state of tension, and a few elements that have yet to truly be revealed, and it has crafted itself into a finely brewed story of golden, foamy goodness. Now, I am really looking forward to the next part in the series as Mike must figure out a way to deal with the Tommy situation, as well as the impending confrontation with the big man downstairs, all while now having a family once again and a reason to want to live.
Mark Tufo continues the saga of Michael Talbot, the Old One. Yes, one might think Talbot died in the last book but oh, the twisted mind of Tufo skillfully created a way back to life for Talbot. One that is shocking and clever!
Talbot’s fight with the Lycan has just been increased to include a Mage and demons. Tufo treats his listeners with a side of Talbot that is not seen – a stronger than strong Talbot who endures torture and being mind-screwed by both Lycan and Mage. The enemy bent on human destruction is a formidable opponent.
We get to see Azile in true action and we have to say goodbye to a Talbot favorite character. In this book, Talbot may take the fight to the enemy but he is merely an observer this time – from a spit, an anthill and … We are entertained by the witty and sarcastic nature of Talbot and the patient yet stern Azile. AND we get a few moments with Tommy! Tufo is an entertaining writer who has the unique ability to write a masterful “side conversation” that Talbot is well known to have with himself and provides his listeners with well thought out story lines and character development. Tufo’s sardonic humor and wit is accomplished and is Talbot.
Mark Tufo has come a long way in his writing. I have read each of his books finding each one to be better than the last. If the world has to have an apocalypse – I hope I have a “Talbot” nearby!
Toss in Sean Runnette as the narrator and you have a pair made in heaven! Runnette has the talent to communicate the sardonic wit and humor in a way that is purely Talbot. Runnette has become Talbot and the two are inseparable!
Runnette is a delight to listen to as he rambles in Talbot fashion and injects the right amount of fear, humor, and emotion into the narration.
I've read all of the Zombie Fallout books, which have now evolved into the Lycan Fallout series. The fourth installment features Mike, now returned from purgatory, but basically unchanged and still having the same internal monologues that you've come to know and love. There's also a new threat, introduced as some shadowy demonic character from another realm. Hopefully we will learn more about him in the next book. This book was a little heavy on the diarrhea anecdotes for me, but if you like poop humor, you won't mind.
It's Like a Guilty Pleasure... I just can't seem to get enough of this series. The self-deprecating humor, snarky banter, 20th-century references, and pure chaos hit just the right spot with me. Combine that with flawless narration, imperfectly perfect characters, break-neck pacing, and a pervasive evil that needs to be put down like a rabid, well, dog. This is classic genre-busting literature at its finest.
Fans of post-apocalyptic, supernatural, horror, humor, and even romance novels will find great entertainment here. All of this is wrapped in an impressively well-written manner with a plot that doesn't disappoint even while it steers to the insanely impossible. It's all great here, and I've become a big fan.
If you're new to this series, I recommend starting with the first book for the best enjoyment. This can be read as a standalone, although the references to past characters and events won't carry their total weight if you don't know the history. However you choose to discover this series, dive in and see what chaos this author is creating!
This instalment may be one of the bloodiest of them. Off the cusp of Mike's death previous book, this one leads into his somewhat rebirth. Most of this book is him literally being tortured in gruesome description, with a haunting yearning for death. The detailing of how Mike wishes to drown resounds in my head like a clanging bell. It's horrific.
More death and loss than could be anticipated occurs in the final battle. With that comes a sort of peace, a domestic standstill frozen in time. Raising their twins in the woods Azile and Mike are only biding time until the raven returns. Tommy has called and Mike must answer.

This fourth book was fantastic because it allowed us to see the loving side of Michael Talbot as well as his usual fun, sarcastic side. There were battles but also this book delved into the personal relationships Mike has with the other main characters. This demonstrates the love and friendship that humans are willing to fight and die to protect. Mark Tufo did an excellent job with not only the story but also making his reader feel like part of the close knit group that revolves around the main character Michael Talbot. Looming forward to his next adventure and being able to escape into a very well written world!
The things Michael Talbot comes out with in the series is hilarious. The way this last book ended l left me wondering if there was going to be a book 5 at some stage. I'm definitely going to read more by Mark Tufo. He's a fantastic writer and I'd recommend this series to anyone who likes horror books with a difference. I fell like I got to know Michael's dog Oggie. I'm going to miss him.
The Lycan Fallout series is a fantastic tale of man vs beast, good vs evil. Tufo does a great job again. Mike Talbot is a half vampire fighting to save the world with a misplaced sense of honor, loyalty, and a wicked smart sense of humor. Highly recommended.
I can't see myself ever getting bored of Mr T's books. I started with Zombie Fallout series and then the Lycan Fallout when i had read all I could read of that series and now waiting for the next book of Lycan Fallout (If there is to be one) I have moved on to the Indian Hill series.
I loved this book. Loved seeing Mike as a Family man. Looking forward to the next book. Who and what is Gabriel? Will Mike be able to help Tommy? What About the unfinished business with Mitoka? Will the twins inherit Aziles’ powers? I have not read the other Series by this author, but I will now. I want to get to know Michael Talbot from the beginning.
I just love Tufo's series and this series was no different. Mike Talbot is one of my favorite characters ever. I personally liked the way that this series ended and how it sets up the beginning of the Demon Fallout series. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a smartass main character and to anyone who has read/listened to any other Mark Tufo books and enjoyed them.
We have our full band of heroes, and while we still mourn for Tommy, there is work to be done. Azile is more important to Mike now than ever before and is herself more powerful than we ever knew. A new threat emerged from the depths of hell itself, and Mike isnt thr kind of guy to shy away from a fight. If your squeamish, take this one slow..

Tufo never ceases to amaze me. His creativity and mix of various emotions keep me coming back for more. Mix his writings with Sean's readings and you have a perfect combo! Lycan Fallout 4 didn't disappoint, it was exactly what I was looking for.
Mike process that nothing, not even death can keep you from your destiny. The Lycan wars aren't over and Mike has work to do. Excellent story, great characters, and tons of action. These books can't be beat.
Incredible story! Michael Talbot has to be the most unlikely hero I can think of. A wise-ass half vampire who is able to fight his way back from the afterworld, go up against werewolve, Lycans, and magicians, he seems unstoppable - until he has to change a diaper... 😂
Michael Talbot must battle one last time to save his friends and humanity from the Lycan menace hell bent to destroy mankind. Great great story with room for more. Fantastic.
I was glad to see that the end of book three wasn't also the end of Michael Talbot. More death and destruction but life and new beginnings too. A very good story.
Holy cow, this one was INTENSE!!!! I was doing lots of gasping and breqth holding, so good! There are some tough and very sad parts as well. All in all, excellent
I love this book, the action and comedy just keep coming just like all the other Mike Talbot books with a couple twists and turns along the way. Don't hesitate, just read or listen to it.
I enjoyed this one so much I read it again. I picked up a couple of extra things the second time around.
Don’t keep reading if you don’t want any spoilers!!
Michael is brought back from the dead to take on a new enemy the ‘green man’ with a melted face; GANLIN-Who is a formidable foe. At the beginning he is sent to earth from the underworld by two Demons in an effort to change the balance and harmony of the world. He is the one we learn, who created the war between the Lycan and the humans in an effort to force the seven people of brilliance to the forefront of society; Mike, Lana, Matthew, Bailey(who dies ever so briefly rescuing Mike), Azeal, as war forces great people out to be exposed. He is helping Lumos in an effort to take a child called Gabriel away from Lana and Matthew. The child seems to have some amazing power which is not revealed to us until the very end. Mike becomes a father of Twins with Azeal and in their efforts to protect them and the new world Mike is forced to form an alliance that is temporary with the black Lycan and their clans under the leadership of Mykota to thwart Lumos who is converting too many humans to werewolves and as a result ruining the food supply for the Lycan. The book ends with a plea for help from a dream like state to Michael amazingly from Tommy and the green man we learnt after being captured by Azeal could no longer use his power and the Demons who sent him end his existence. Quite a few hilarious moments like the busted anus comment for the black Raven in Chapter and his fear of Vicks vapour rub because of a detailed adolescent mishap that is detailed in chapter 15.

Werewolves, that red witch, Lycans, and Michael Talbot back at it again. Joy erupted into my ears listening to this ongoing tale yet. As usual the story is great, full of unexpected turns and surprises. Many times I felt the emotions of Mike with his fears, hes regrets, all of his missed friends and family and those who he was fighting to save, including himself at times. The only real complaint I have with this story is the lack of a complete finish. Which of course is good and bad. Narration was outstanding as usual, filled with the same great voice work, bringing the sarcasm and jokes alive, and push felt emotions. I had a great time. No second thoughts on this one, if you love Mark Tufo's work like I do and have never tried any of his books, start with Zombie Fallout. You will not be disappointed.
This gets a high recommendation from me. Get it and get it now.
I AM SO HAPPY NOW!!! LFO 3 was not my fave of this series..so I am so happy that this one was EXTRA AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark nailed it and so did Sean...a little bit of a cliffy ending...so now we know we will get a LFO5...WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!! If you are a Tufo fan jump on this now!!!
LOVED IT...HIGHLY RECOMMEND...THANK YOU MARK!!!!
Super great even a 2nd time!! Cant wait for Demon Fallout!!
As with all the books in this series, I loved it. Once again Mark has written an unforgettable book. Made me laugh and also cry. I look forward to another installment! This series is more than just Lycans. You have witches, vampires, plenty of heroes and villains. Many varying emotions, never a dull moment. The first book in the series at this point is free... download it. See if you don't fall in love with it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
This, the fourth in the series, lacks for nothing we've come to expect from our favorite author. The human drama, humor, mind of Talbot and of course, the deep detail of the horrible things, especially diapers. Imagine a world without disposable diapers.
