I knew I was going to like Aubrey Grayson’s debut novel from the moment her hero Nicholas Daventry declares his elderly aunt’s masquerade ball harem girl costume “ague-inducing“. I fell head over heels in love with it (and with Nick) about the time he dubs the heroine “his very own Cinderella“. Legacy Redeemed is sweet and funny and romantic, and it reminds us all that redemption is offered lavishly.

The wry humor had me chuckling often, particularly at Nick’s dialogue with

"What a shame. It might have been a lovely friendship."

Just like Cinderella's Prince Charming, Nick Daventry has just watched a most intriguing young woman disappear into the night, never having even discovered her name. Finding her crying in the Weston House library, instead of enjoying her evening on the dance floor, was a clear indication of her extreme distress. The lady seemed resigned to whatever predicament had been forced upon her, and Nick could only hope that their paths might cross a

This was a new author for me, and oftentimes I read with trepidation, not knowing if it will be clean or not. This was a clean read! Well, there was one phrase and I am never sure if it's a cuss word or people are just bent to go hell's way! That was the only questionable one. Phew! There were a couple of places where there were sexual references by very seedy and lewd characters and I think that the author did that to make their characters more realistic, more evil - and it did just that - they ...more

Legacy Redeemed By Aubrey Grayson

Inspirational story, I give four stars...Excellent usage of God's scriptures, and prayers, connection was strong in the storyline...Little too oblivious and sloppy in parts..And fast wrapping up an ending, surprising when Alex just automatically shows up to save the day..But it was in God's plan

A good light read

A good escape for an afternoon. The characters were defined and likable. Dialog believable and would read more from this author.

A quick read. I liked the story lines and especially how I didn't have to wait long for something interesting to happen. I wasn't sure how things were going to end going in, but I liked it.

From a young age, Aubrey Grayson devoured books with alarming alacrity. Ignoring her mother’s pleas of “Come and watch TV with us!”, her most frequently uttered response was “Just let me finish this chapter!” She dreamed that one day, she could write stories just as entertaining as the ones she found at her local library. When a middle school teacher informed her that her writing suffered in compa ...more
