It’s always good to read testimonies of when God impacts lives. But my only criticism is that how each testimony was written wasn’t as captivating as I’d like. Hence, why it took so long to read this book.
You don't read books like this for their high literary value. The reading, in fact, is purely emotional, although I think there is a theological value to this writing, in that it points to God as the author and the finisher of the work and not ourselves. That's the catalyst for my biggest emotional high from reading this. Sure, each story is impactful in its own way, some moreso than others depending on your own position as the reader as well as the details of the accounts, but the overall impact is that God is great and capable of things way beyond our understanding. His power does not depend on how great we are, on our own sense of morality or our life history. It works in spite of those things, and it works even when we are in tremendous doubt. This book is intended to be nothing less than a blessing, and on that note, it succeeds. Read Francis Shaefer, C.S. Lewis, Spurgeon, et al, for your high theology.
Truly a book that will lift your spirit! So many moving passages within the pages to refresh your thirsty soul. Recorded true stories shared by famous authors and pastors will encourage your faith. For sure, so many of us can testify to angels ministering to us in our time of need. After reading numerous accounts of visiting angels affecting changed lives, the reader can decide if, in fact, the accounts shared here are believable or merely coincidental. Get the book. You will not be disappointed.
