I am following the 'latticework of mental models' series ever since its inception at Safal Niveshak. Now great to see it as an E- Book, where all the models get consolidated under one umbrella. This book( let’s call it a ‘Toolkit of Decision Making’), I want to carry with me always(Of course not the E-book but the learning from it :) ) . An asset for life time.

About Mental Model

We all learn many concepts during our life long journey but they are just knowledge until we apply to solve the real wo

This book is a must read for someone who wishes to have a good collection of mental models in his kitty. The Mental Models are mostly derived from other people's works but with the right amount of latest input and research added to the original inputs. This work is mostly derivative but enough amount of original thought has been added to the original that it does not seem like a patch work of models taken randomly from various books and stitched together. The book is seamless from the beginning ...more

Excellent compilation, easy to read & digest. Can serve as quick reference either for a thought experiment or to reflect on the models that were at play while a decision/action was taken.
Rightly mentioned in the intro that application of these concepts is more important than mere reading. Suggest if the authors could get together & throw in cases/situation & quiz the audience/reader on the models at play, with reasoning of course.
Cheers :)
PS: (Habit formation & engagement - et al Nir Eyal).

If you are a newbie , pick this book and I promise you that it will help you in becoming a better investor and more importantly a better and smart human being. For people like me , who are already aware of the mental models, it can be a good read to brush up the knowledge :) Waiting for part -2 :)

Suggestion to SN : Please add more real life examples :)

Theirs a great learning from God Ram- which is - it's being said that he used to visit all the saints, does services (seva) and in turn ; he recieves their aashirvaad - the age old saints shares their lifetime of knowledge and experience..which probably have made king Ram to Lord Ram..in this world we get that so easily through incredible Books.. This is one of them for sure. I am following Safal Niveshak for last 1 year.. And read most of the books suggested by Vishal.. And they all were incred ...more

A good addition to your own checklist of mental models, although it's not a mind-shifting book but rather an incremental update and a step in the right direction to become a better thinker.

One of the best investments of time. The book does an amazing job of sharing the importance and wisdom of multi disciplinary thinking and is a great starting point to build your own latticework of mental models.

The book is like “Yoga for Mind”. You don’t move anywhere while doing yoga but it makes you more flexible and fit. I am grateful to be a tribe member at Safal Niveshak.

Its a great book and a good start for anyone who wants to go around learning the Mentals model way (refer Charlie Munger). Each model has been giving enough justice, background, context, quotes from Charlie Munger and Warren Buffet and great examples with reference to Indian context and businesses of the 20th century. A must read for those who want to build the foundations of multiple mental models without ferociously googling around and also for those who want a quick revision.
