This is a great tie-in to the Civil War II plot, meaning if you are not reading Civil War II you might be a bit lost. But just a bit. Either way, this continues down the path of Rogers sort of warring with himself.

I'm curious about his rewritten history, though. Because the way it's being rewritten still makes me feel like it would be obvious he would go against Hydra. But perhaps I'm missing something, or as is obvious, I haven't seen everything yet. But so far, that's my only "complaint".

One of the better Steve Rogers issues because it was directly related to a lot of the things going on in the Civil War II plot line and filled in some plot holes in that arc. Even though it filled in that series, the actual Captain America: Steve Rogers story has been painstakingly slow to me. I'm probably still going to end buying this after the next issue.

Wow, was this great. Even manages to improve Civil War II, which I didn't hate but quickly forgot once it was over.

I hate what they have done to Captain America. They have made Sam Wilson a liberal tool. They have completely altered Steve Rogers history and origin. They have made him a sleeper agent for Hydra and a traitor. In this tie-in Rogers finds out about Ulysses and that's a problem for him. He can see the future. How long until he sees that Rogers is a Hydra agent? Nick Spencer has made Cap a villain. WTF?!

Rogers.

This was a good crossover with ongoing CW2 events, but I'm still finding some of the "history" stuff a slog.
