I am so excited to work through this atlas with my kiddos. What makes this atlas so cool is that it is a bit different than other atlases. You will find the maps, but there is more...lots more. There is information on flags, birds and flowers of each state. This book is filled with pictures, charts and stats. I am always looking for ways to keep the learning going over the summer months and into the school year to supplement what they learn at school. This book is going to be a HUGE hit! It is a ...more

When my Kiddo was in middle school, she kept forgetting assignments because she didn’t write them down. When I found out, I didn’t waste any time in getting her a daily planner to keep track of things. What a difference it made in her success as a student. Keeping track of her life with a planner has been part of her life ever since. Too bad she didn’t have this fun planner from National Geographic Kids.

Weird but true! is more than just a planner. A year long academic calendar, it runs from Augu

As someone who cannot function without a paper planner, I looked at this one with great interest. One the upside, it's tremendously amusing, with lots of goofy pictures and fun facts. There is a decent amount of space for kids to write down things they need to do, not tiny lines like some adult planners have. The writing prompts would definitely have been something that my own daughters would have appreciated.

I'm a bit conflicted about the four days per tw

I am a planner geek! I love planners, making lists, and keeping track of my schedule. If I was 10 again, I would be ALL OVER THIS BOOK!
First of all, this planner is covered in a heavy cardboard, but the inside is spiral bound so it will lay flat and hold up to your child taking it in and out of his locker or school bag. Your child can fill in their class schedule in the beginning pages. Then at the start of each month, there is a space for planning out goals. In our school, students have to set

This is a huge planner and gives me sooo much room to write in. It's loaded with interesting and fun facts and tid-bits throughout. My fave holiday is Halloween, so check out the page for October 31st in the photo.

As it's back to school time for most students in the US, this would make a great planner for them. However, I am an adult and I am hogging it to myself because I need fun to break up my serious work time. Did you know that tornadoes have picked up toads from ponds and dropped them mile

It’s back-to-school time! I don’t know about you, but the beginning of the school year is much like the start of the New Year, in that I start the school year with back-to-school resolutions. For example, I resolve to lay my daughter’s clothes night before every school day to prevent arguments over what matches with what in the morning. One of the biggest resolutions my kids and I always have is to be MORE ORGANIZED. To remember homework assignments and after school activities and permission sli ...more

I wish I had access to this kind of fun planner, when I was growing up.
This is such a playful, engaging and smart planner for the whole year.
It starts with month of August, and it has space to plan each day.
It is full of pictures, illustrations but also all kind of facts about the world. There are also hints for homework help.
While filling up pages with your own plans, ideas, activities, the children learn and have fun doing it. Just quick and often weird facts on the pages for sure will be ke

A daily planner for any student is a good idea. But what’s even better is a planner that has weird but true tidbits of very interesting information for every day of the year. You can share it with friends, family and even teachers will get a kick out of it.

The first pages are a place to write a school schedule with the time, days, a place for a room number and the teachers name. Not only are there cool weird but true fun facts there are also puzzles and quizzes. Did you know that a rabbit’s tee

This is really fun planner for tweens, and older. It will be easy to stay organized with fun, entertain planner. It makes a great bullet journal as well! This planner makes writing down daily activities fun, as each day's page features something fun. It's chalk full of interesting tidbits and educational fun facts. The end of the planner features a world map, and pages full of interesting facts. National Geographic has done a great job with this school-scheduled planner. Meaning the planner begi ...more

Having worked in schools for 35 years and having raised my own five children, I know the importance of having a place to write down in organized fashion what the child is responsible for on a daily basis. Writing down the homework assignments on a scrap of paper simply doesn't "cut" it. Having a tablet which you devote solely for writing homework assignments in daily is a step in the right direction. Learning to use a daily planner that encompasses more than just homework is really a giant step ...more
