I loved Lady Julia! And I enjoyed Julia and Constance's travel adventure to Maine in the wintertime during the Regency era. I liked the art details, the sailing details, and the passion the main characters brought to good food. I have to make biscuits soon. I particularly liked the resolution and the HEA.

This is an engaging and romantic story. Geoffrey is somber, sad and cynical when he meets Julia. Julia wanted an adventure before putting herself on the shelf, and thought that he was just another rude American. Another excellent book by McGinnis, perhaps her best yet. In this one, Marin takes some characters that we know from her previous books, adds in a few more from a country far away and turns them loose to love, plot, fight and live in this engaging world she's created.

A lawyer in real life, Marin McGinnis feeds the more creative part of her soul by writing romance and mystery. She's spent almost half her life in a tree-lined, unabashedly liberal suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. She's been married to the same great guy for over 20 years, and has one teenage son and three standard poodles.
