I loved Lady Julia! And I enjoyed Julia and Constance's travel adventure to Maine in the wintertime during the Regency era. I liked the art details, the sailing details, and the passion the main characters brought to good food. I have to make biscuits soon. I particularly liked the resolution and the HEA.

Another excellent book by McGinnis, perhaps her best yet. In this one, Marin takes some characters that we know from her previous books, adds in a few more from a country far away and turns them loose to love, plot, fight and live in this engaging world she's created.

While knowledge of her previous two is helpful (Stirring Up the Viscount and Secret Promise), it's not required, and this lovely book stands alone with no further explanations or background needed.

I particularly enjoyed the growing,

I adored this touching love story of American artist Geoffrey and Brit Lady Julia. This heartwarming tale begins when Geoffrey and Julia meet on an ocean liner and are reunited in his hometown in Maine. If you enjoy a great romance, this is the book for you!

A lawyer in real life, Marin McGinnis feeds the more creative part of her soul by writing Victorian era romance and mystery. She's spent almost half her life in a tree-lined, unabashedly liberal suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. She's been married to the same great guy for over 20 years, and has one teen-aged son. They all live together in a drafty old house with their two standard poodles, Larry and Sne ...more
