This is an amazing book describing what it might look like to learn science by doing science, and the role that writing can and should play in that. The vision of teaching a discipline as welcoming a newcomer to our community, and the implications that has for how we respond to their ideas and their writing sticks with me and seems to inform the way I see many aspects of my work.
