I have received a copy of this book in return for an honest review
I love books that are written in great detail, and give us – the reader, who spends their heart-earned money – a lot of value. Sacred Signs and Symbols is one of those books that bring plenty of value for its price, something I have come accustomed to by just about every book published by Llewellyn Publishing.
I will dive into my favorite parts first, which actually is the second half of the book, as it is there, where I found the reasons, why I will be picking up this book again and again. This second half contains a wonderful, detailed, and precise collection of explanations of many signs and symbols in the form of a glossary. Pages upon pages talk about the meaning of the symbols and signs discussed earlier within the book, ranging from Transportation, and colors, to smells and sounds. Like I mentioned, it is for me the meat, the most important part of the book (I apologize to my vegan readers for using this term). It is the one part, I got the most value from.
The first half of the book has its merits too, but it is packaged in a way that resonates less with me. You see, I am someone who enjoys straight forward information in non-fiction books. Sacred Signs and Symbols does contain a lot of that, but it is mixed in with a lot of anecdotes as well. This might be fine for people who learn that way, but it is somewhat a turn off for me, and makes me want to get as quickly as possible through that content in order to move toward the other sections and chapters that are more straight-forward.
But, that fact does not diminish much of the quality of the book, as it only pertains to a personal preference of mine. Without it, I would have given it a five-star rating – because of it, I am giving it 4 Stars.
Sacred Symbols And Signs is a book that deserves a space on your bookshelf or in your Kindle. I am surely happy that I had a chance to read it.

I own three of Sherrie's books and, although I have thoroughly enjoyed all of them, this one is my favorite. I like using this book as a reference when I am playfully looking for signs along a walking trail and see a blue mushroom or hear the call of a woodpecker. I like referring to this book as a trustworthy resource when I need a sign to help me answer a question or understand a problem. Whatever the situation or mood, this book has become my go-to guide. I am so grateful to Sherrie for using her talents to write this easy-to-read, trustworthy, and informative book and for continuing to teach her readers how to trust their own intuition and abilities.

This is actually not a book you read once and pass on. This is one of those books you keep close at hand and go to when certain things happen in life. You do need to read it through once so you learn how signs and symbols can be useful in your day to day life. Also to get a feel for how to tell when something is a sign and not just a everyday object in a weird place.
The book is written for the layman it is not in scientific and other strange words. it is written very well and easy to understand. It is also very thought compelling. I personally whole heartedly believe in signs and symbols and have for years. This book has given me even a better understanding of what these signs and symbols mean and how they can make a difference when heeded.

En general el libro me parece una falacia. Presenta algunos argumentos que pueden resonar en algunos, incluso las prácticas para estar consciente son asequibles, pero la interpretación del glosario y las anécdotas que presenta parece ser más interpretaciones personales. Este punto es el que debería trabajar más el libro, pues es el objetivo de este tipo de lenguaje.
No se si lo recomendaría, ni siquiera para las personas sin preparación en estos temas.

I loved this book! I am always trying to be aware of my surroundings physically & spiritually this book showed me a lot that I wasn't aware of and the meanings were clear and concise. This will be a book I will adventure back too many times over.

I really enjoyed the author's friendly, welcoming tone as she talked about her own experiences - and those of some of her clients - learning to work with signs, symbols and the exercises she gave.
