Jesus Is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus

Rate this book
Once a skeptic of "Holy Encounters," Heidi Hollis shares her true story of four unexpected journeys with Jesus, which led her deep into the reality of His Presence among us today. Hollis shares how Jesus and His angels revealed glimpses of Heaven and Hell, even healing her physically of an incurable disease, leaving her with the utmost passion to share His inspiration with the world! As humanly as possible and lacking a religious tongue, Hollis pours out her raw emotions with all of the errors, yet new understandings, which came with meeting someone she highly misunderstood when she heard claims of Jesus appearing to people around the world today. Hollis once thought that Jesus had traversed these lands long ago, never to be seen or heard from again--now, in admitting her error, she encourages others to hold their "J" for Jesus up in the air for all to Jesus Is No Joke! "A raw outpouring of pure emotion from someone who is hardly a member of the clergy. She explains what she saw and pours out real, true emotion - with little political motivation that one so often hears from the ordained clergy. An inspiring and encouraging tale for spiritual people, "Jesus is No A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus" is a must for community library spirituality and Christian studies collections." James A. Cox, Editor-in-Chief Midwest Book Review "Heidi's writing style simply drew me in--it's natural, refreshingly "real," and enthusiastic. Best of all, she has something to say. Her encounters with Jesus were riveting and inspiring and they conveyed, above all, the feeling of Jesus' reality. Heidi writes from her heart, her soul, and after reading this book, I felt that I knew her, appreciated her, and admired her courage. A must-read for those who seek the Light." Robert Becker/Editor, Pure Inspiration Magazine About the Heidi Hollis has been heard by millions as an internationally known speaker on intriguing phenomena, from angels to aliens. She is also the author of Picture Prayers, The Secret War and is an occupational therapist, advice columnist and radio talk show host.

Just what the doctor ordered

This reads like a good girlfriend sitting with you and telling you about her very interesting life experiences. Thank you, for being brave enough to speak on your experiences of the supernatural, SOURCE and JESUS.

We all have our own beliefs. But many of us have testimonies of events that have happened to us that can't be explained. These events should give us faith in a higher being that is not here in the physical, but the spiritual. Not everything can be explained by laws and science.

Reading Jesus Is No Joke will take you on the very unique journey of how the author, Heidi Hollis, came to know Jesus personally.

The author explains how her life had no meaning until an encounter with Jesus and His angels in her dreams. She expresses her opinion that all can have access to these “holy visions” but not all really want them. She also states that analyzing your dreams may help you learn some of the same lessons she did.

She spends an ample amount of time answering questions she says others have asked her. She talks about what she saw when she visited hell and why she never did see the face of Jesus.

I have not ever read a book like this and probably will not read it again. That is not to say you shouldn’t give it a try as you may like reading what she describes as her personal encounters with Jesus. On a more positive note, I will say she really put her heart into writing the book. You can tell she is hoping that someone else will learn from her journey and decide to take their own personal journey with Jesus.

SINCERE and heartfelt

The title of this book put me off a little. It seemed a little glib to me for such a serious topic. And the writing style rambles and jumps around.
That said, I believed what Heidi was saying. I believe that much of this book is a heartfelt and SINCERE testimony. For me testimonies are the best way to learn about God and about other people. I felt like I got to.know the author and am looking forward to reading her other books.

Something to think about.

I bought this book because I had heard the author's radio show about aliens and ghosts , general topic. She was very straight forward in an open and honest way. She was not always predictable in her viewpoints. There is a surprise in there, being open-minded is refreshing.
I would recommend this book to those who are interested, but don't want a typical book about encounters with God.

I like how the author told her story in a way where it was more like talking to a friend across the table and not someone standing behind a pulpit. It was simple and straight forward without favoritism to any particular religion.
