Naomi Lorraine, who used to be or still known as Nerdy Naomi, looks forward in her thick rimmed glasses to a life without the fear of being bullied. She no longer has to take up the laughs, insults, and bruises high school once gave her, at least she hopes not as much. With her bullies finally realizing there's no point to dedicating their lives to make one person miserable, Naomi thinks she can live out the rest of her life normally. That is until her childhood friend, Dominic, crashes back into her life, throwing out that hope of having a normal life - Not like she had one in the beginning.
That is because she has the Three Musketeers - Bennett Frazier, Jordan Wallace, and Declan Lynch - by her side. Together, they faced the adventures life threw at them and would have never thought that anything, or anyone, could break them. Oh, but don't worry. Really, you're overthinking things here, this is nothing to stress over about.
NO SPOILERS - before i start, i did enjoy this book! i am a huge fan of the first book, the authors writing style is great for the most part. i enjoyed this book, but i have some pretty strong criticism mainly in the spoiler portion of this review. oh god..i don’t know? this feels wrong like the plot is wrong something is so wrong?! the Bennett thing..out of pocket? i don’t know it hurt me so fucking bad and it felt as if the author is running out of ideas like...it wasn’t progressing to what happened like there was no development with the event. it was fucking random, no room for previous suspicion. the author hasn’t updated in ages. the easy rater in me still loves this book regardless of the flaws. to put it short: i’m gonna continue to read it if the author ever even decides to update, and in the meanwhile i’ll reread random chapters as long as they aren’t the last four chapters/when that random ass painful ass plot twist came in. literally pretending it never happened this feels like a fucking cliffhanger?! ignoring the last four chapters, the characters make up for the weird ish plot (IGNORING THE PLOT TWIST BC-)
SPOILERS/CRITICISM BELOW -
not gonna lie, some of what i say might be just because i’m bias and didn’t want the bennett thing to happen. but most of it is the truth. ugh i love bennett so much this hurts to think about. bennett was my fucking favorite like that ruined the WHOLE book for me it was out of fucking pocket and it makes me mad like nobody is THAT good at manipulating. and it’s most likely he’s being forced in some way to break up with them, but still like if he was anticipating to break up with them there should’ve been more buildup then a couple overhead phone calls and nothing TOO weird going on with bent. like what? i’m sorry? how are you supposed to fucking recover from that? like no wonder the author can’t update what the fuck are you even SUPPOSED to write? i love love love all of them so much i love the first book it’s literally everything. i love the authors writing style and everything, but wtf is this??! i’m not saying the betrayal COULDN’T have happened, i’m saying that the betrayal was badly written in my opinion. it could’ve been so much better. instead, it felt rushed. as if the author was just trying to get it revealed asap. which isn’t the right attitude really. this would’ve gotten a four stars, or at least a more content feeling with me, if the betrayal was written better or at least made sense. now maybe, when the rest is released, i’ll have different feelings. whether or not this was bent’s actual CHOICE or someone made him, i feel like it destroys bent’s character’s development. with all he said to them. what i’m saying is, this betrayal could’ve been FANTASTICALLY written. think maven in read queen, but bennett. bennett could’ve been THAT he could’ve been the maven of this book. cause let’s be honest, maven’s whole character was written out of this world amazing. that’s a fantastic example of the perfectly written betrayal in my opinion. but instead of being the maven of this book, the betrayal felt rushed, cheap. think about mavens character arc versus bennett: feels cheap sorta? they’re not all that different really, at least compared to the first book maven. bennett is just cheaper. it’s a great comparison if you don’t understand why this betrayal wasn’t written to its full potential. NOW,,,i could FOR SURE change my mind when more chapters come out. this betrayal could make his character development that much better IF written in a careful way. i’ll think it makes more sense and isn’t rushed. only more chapters will be able to tell. whenever more chapters are released, i’ll probably add an update on if i feel the same or differently. that’s how i feel about everything for now though. not going to fully judge until more info comes out in later chapters but all i’ve said is what it feels like for now.
4/28/2021 I read this whole book today, or at least how much has been posted. I was crying throughout the ending, I can't believe what happened. I still feel like Domi is Nicotine. And Bent, why? how? Imma go be miserable and cry till Rubix updates again

This book is surely the continuation of previous one but in this plot does not revolve around bullying .. it's more about Naomi' s love life, her adventures with gangsters and more importantly her love choices between the musketeers....(if by any chance you came to this book finding the character Domi then please be disappointed because .so far Domi is side character) .....most importantly, the chapter updates are too slow so better be patient

So i was browsing goodreads for a book to read something fun and i found a lot of the wattpad books i used to read, OMG. I've started rating them at least the ones i remember but honestly too much work unless i reread them I won't rate them for now
I enjoyed the first book but this one just makes me feel lost. I can’t tell what the plot is and the author dives deep into dialogues about things that don’t push the story forward, it’s as if the author is trying to educate the reader about history and other stuff. The first book had long dialogues like that but it got thrown ten times more into this book.
