Readable, realistic and incisive for a textbook, with an especially feisty first quarter.

"In the game of nations there are no winners only losers. The objective of each player is not so much to win as to avoid loss. Problems do not get solved. They are managed. Success is achieved if disaster is avoided or postponed until the next administration." -Former Egiptian Vice President Zaharia Moheddin
