Eve's power-hungry, witch parents will kill at the slightest insult, and Eve's unwillingness to use her own supernatural abilities is enough to incite them. A powerful vampire may be the only one able to save her, to give her the one thing she's never had--love. But in Eve's world, no one is who they seem, and the more she stays with him, the more difficult it becomes to spot the true devils, especially when she becomes one herself.
Lucien, a centuries old vampire, lives a solitary life with his mind and heart blocked to the past. But all that changes when he meets Eve, a witch who not only stirs an ancient power within him, but also teaches him to love again. This new life is threatened, however, when a centuries-old vampire who calls himself the Dark Prince vows to unleash a plague upon the earth. And he’s after Eve to help him do it.
Unexpected surprises turn the fight into more than just a battle for survival. Lives will be lost, and hearts will be broken.
Read the series that has captivated readers!
Includes Books 1-4: The Devil's Fool The Devil's Angel The Devil's Soldier The Devil
Rachel lives in New Hampshire, a place secretly known for its supernatural creatures. When she's not in her writing lair, she's partying with her husband and four children. Her love for storytelling began as a child when the moon first possessed the night. For when the lights went out, her imagination painted a whole new world. And what a scary world it was…
Characters' actions got more illogical and the plot more fantastical the farther I read. Finally ended up skimming to get to the end just to see how it ended.
Speechless - I came across this by mistake - best mistake I've made in a long time. McClellan kept me on edge throughout this series. I felt like I was there , every emotion dragged from my soul. I felt their pain, their happiness , I was part of every moment . I kept moving from book to book... I had to know . If your on the edge right now - jump ! I promise you a journey you will never forget - Engaging from beginning to end. So many unknowns , twists and betrayals. Will keep you guessing and every nerve ending alive in anticipation. Lucian and Eve , Boaz and Henry... All connected . Such evil so delicately intertwined. The story only gets better
A Hero's Death #1 - Great Book! A well written, intriguing suspense with a well thought out plot and developed characters. This book reminds me a lot of the Dresden Files; no, the author wrote something completely different, but the way DF evolves into a continuous story. No, Ardis is not a witch/warlock, I grew up in time when females were the witches, but he's stronger than any human because of his father's genes. Hard to describe without doing spoilers. This book has substance, intelligence and immerses the reader into a twisting tale, full of vivid descriptions, that can't be put down until it's finished. 5*
A Monster's Birth #2 - A well written, intriguing suspense with strong descriptions painting vivid pictures as the story unfolds. The characters and dialog are realistic, and the plot keeps the reader immersed until the end. This book is like AHD containing substance and intelligence. 5*
A Champion's Fight #3 - What a rollercoaster ride! Awesome! The action never slows down nor does the pace. This is probably the best of the three books so far, but the other two were awesome, too. I couldn't put the book down, but took my time reading it, savoring it. This is a well written and thought out story. The characters, man, you just hate them, but the good ones are tough. There old and new characters, most are believable, realistic for that world, and the emotions they extract from the reader just run the gamut.
While romantic love took the rear seat on the bus, the hate, anger, evilness, fear and all the negative emotions run rampant. There is love but it's for the humans, along with determination. The reader has to get involved with the story. Ms. McClellan does a fab job with her lucid, vivid descriptions; every once in awhile I felt the pain. This is a must read series, and in order to get the best thrill and excitement, and I can't wait to see what's next from this richly articulate, creative author. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*
The Devil's Fool #1 - Intriguingly dark. A well written suspense with several interesting characters and an intriguing plot. This is my first book by this author and since I didn't know what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by the story. I couldn't stop reading until I finished the book; the more into the story, the more mesmerizing. Cliffhanger, there's three more books. 5*
The Devil's Angel #2 - Intriguingly darker. A well written, fast paced suspense with more interesting characters with a twisting, intriguing plot. I am confused why such a powerful witch would weaken so much after using her magic. This is still a substantial series, unlike Twilight, more like The Dresden Files. I couldn't put this book down, either, and hated that it's a cliffhanger, two more books. 5*
It took me over a year to read the entire series, but I’m glad I did. I read the Devils Fool, and was hooked - but moved onto something else, I came back and read the remaining 3 stories in a row. Books 1 & 2 were 5 Star reads for sure. Books 3 and 4 seemed to have lost the original spunk this series held. The characters are well described and they all connect perfectly within the series. The world the author has created is also amazing. The writing is flawless ( I am a grammar nazi ), the perfection was something I rarely encounter. Each book holds its own, but as I said, book 3 & 4 lacked something I can’t exactly explain. It felt in parts of each there was too much description and repetitiveness and other parts were glossed over where description would have been better. All in all , this is absolutely a must read series !
This was a very interesting and intriguing series. The description and storyline was well-written and kept me interested the entire time. This was definitely a YA series, definitely PG13. I loved all the characters and what they portrayed. The story in short was about Supernatural Beings on Earth and the Devils escaped minion fracturing human society. Very detailed information and very intense scenes of pain and anguish. But in the end an HEA for the main characters and most of the Good supporting characters. Great Read!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this series, hate that it's ended! I never read this author but am seriously impressed!! I fell in love with the characters, felt like I was there with them experiencing the good and the bad, what a series!! The author did an amazing job explaining how they used their powers making something complex seem simple and actually made sense! Some of the fight scenes I skimmed through, but that was the only time! Complex characters, lots of action, and just WOW!
Poor Eve. She's a pawn in a game she doesn't even know she's playing. It is not hard to identify with her passive aggressive attitude. What I did find hard to deal with is her hypocritical, self-sacrificing demeanor in the latter books of the series. Why make Lucien care if she was going to check out when things were difficult for her? She wouldn't have understood if the roles were reversed. Which they are later... All in all. A good read.
The Devil Series is a really good well actually it's a really great read. I laughed, I cried and I got mad with the characters.. I couldn't stop reading the books once I started.. I fell in love with the characters especially Charlie.. So what happened to him really broke me heart but later on I ended up being happy for him.. I will be reading more books by this Author..
This book set really had me on edge. I always root for the strong love between characters, but this one the love was there but self centered after girls that drag the inevitable out and deny it for selfish reasons I almost stopped reading it but I stayed hopeful and was team Lucian 100% ! Charlie was spectacular but I cried and had to finish the book the next day!! I would recommend this book set!!! Rachel is a superb author!! 🖤
This was so awesome that my husband, who isn't a reader, kept asking me everyday for updates on what was happening next.
This is filled with suspense, lots of action, betrayal, revenge, abuse and surprises. It's a ride that I never wanted to end. Highly recommend this to anyone who loves to read!!
The title, while accurate is somewhat misleading. This series is about character, values and loyalty more than the devil himself. This is a tale about the light and dark in all of us. It addresses our ability to do the impossible when faced with extreme circumstances. Looking forward to reading more about the characters in this series
The Devil series books were very well written. The characters were strong and the storyline was well developed. I was so needy about wanting to know what would happen next, that I had a hard a hard time in putting down the book. These were not wasted words, but kept me so involved I sometimes felt as though I was in the story. TA TA for now.
I wanted to like this book, but the plot made no sense. It was just a bunch of events happening one after another without any building tension or overarching reason for the events. There were some interesting tidbits, but they were lost and didn’t have any impact to the story.
I️ loved the covers that’s the first thing. Secondly, I️ thought the story was pretty drawn out in a good way though. I️ felt like it could have probably ended at book three, but who am I️.
All in all this was a pretty decent series to enjoy.
This series has it all! I had many love hate characters and many that I just loved. This story is a journey for every character. Never boring and well put together. You can put yourself in the story and will find yourself thinking about long after you put it down.
Once I started reading this series I couldn't stop. The world building was great and I loved the characters. There was romance, epic battles and twist and turns. I couldn't put it down. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the supernatural.
I have it 4 stars because it was heart breaking and tender at times, helps remind all of us the power of forgiveness! Any sci-fi fan who likes monsters will love this book!
I love the series! The characters were real Lucien and Eve, you felt like you knew them, felt there pain and happiness. Henry, Llona, Liam, May and Dr. Han were also just as wonderful. You will love this book if you are into supernatural books. I gave it 2 thumbs up👍👍.
the first two books I read had me hooked but then the story just got to long for me and I took ages trying to finish still enjoyed the read but a bit to long for me.
