GNAB I received a free electronic copy of this reprint of hints, tips and recipes for growing and preserving fruits from Netgalley and Dover Publications, Inc in exchange for an honest review. Thank you all, for sharing your hard work with me.

Gardening a la Mode: Fruits was first published by Longmans, Green and Co, London and New York in 1895. I found the gardening tips and recipes in this small guide extremely useful. Several of the tips for raising fruits for the table have already been inco

This is a lovely little book, originally printed in 1895 and brings back the varieties and methods of looking after fruit trees in days of old. I would not recommend some of them, but others are still relevant. There are recipes for some lovely and simple ways of using the fruit. It is a lovely walk down memory lane.

Full of good info for gardeners interested in growing fruit. Helpful hints about pests, diseases and growing conditions will aid even the neophyte gardener interested in growing a good crop of fruits in their backyard.
I requested and received an ARC of this book.
