With her husband Rolland, Heidi founded IRIS Ministries in 1980, a non-profit Christian ministry dedicated to Jesus and service, especially among the poor. After twelve years ministering in Asia, they left in 1992 to do their PhD's at King's College London, UK. In 1995 they started a new ministry to the poor and homeless children in Mozambique.

A demonstration and strong witness about what it means to live in God's presence (God meaning Yaweh or Jehovah). I loved the book on love by Heidi Baker. I could sense from her writing that she knew or experienced God more than most people I know. So when I searched for another study by Heidi, I found this one.
I tried to do the workbook alone, but it seemed to be missing explanations. I'm glad I found a used copy of the DVD presentation. Watching the presentations for each session helps to explain what Heidi and Rolland are talking about in the devotional sections.
The introduction says to watch the DVD session first, answer the introductory questions, then do the 5 devotional days during the week. I didn't always do that. Sometimes I did the devotional days first so I understood what they were discussing. Sometimes I watched the video first to get a better understanding of the devotionals.
This is not a polished presentation with slides and notes. Heidi describes it, or her presentation, as a show-and-tell. Heidi and Rolland discuss what they know or have experienced of God. They tell you what works for them, or what God has done. They're not teaching anyone how to do it or how to do the same. They're just sharing what God has done for them and what they think is true or important.
It's good information and some good takeaway points. Heidi and Rolland made it clear that miracles come from God's presence. It's not that you're filled then you go do it. It's that you're so connected to God, one with Him, holy and pure, that He's with you and you just follow His lead. He flows through you like a vessel or branch on a vine. You're connected always and ready to be used. Miracles like enough food, guns breaking in half, blind eyes see, demons fall to the ground all happened because Heidi said yes to God and lived in His Presence. She submitted to Him and He did the miracles through her availability.
I prefer Heidi's presentations over Rolland's. She's more animated and more fearless and unencumbered. I loved how she inquired of the Lord each time she encountered evil or the impossible. And God answered her! She inspires me to just let God do what He wants to do. I'll just be the vessel, like Heidi is.
