This book is one incredible trip into the what was and what could have been. With characters that were not exactly what they appeared to be it was like stepping into the looming glass with eyes wide open.

This book is truly a five-star book. The characters walked off the page and settled in my brain. With real life events and alternate reasons, it built into a tightly woven blanket of espionage and government interference. An exciting beast of a story to read and a thrill to dissect the details

When I read this book, I was surprised at the rich characters and deep topics that were being handled in such a creative and believable manner.

The story follows the life of one special man. A man that knows a lot and is now at the end of his life, willing to share his knowledge. It is a very interesting and lively book. It kept me involved and wondering exactly what was going on.

I felt for several characters. I felt they were in over their heads and doing the best they could. I found the inter

I stepped way out of my preferred genre comfort zone for this book. I am very glad I did. It is not often politics and the Paranormal get combined, but this book does just that. Geopolitics, witches, worlocks, secret societies, and terrorism all bound together. For the first time, I enjoyed reading a slant on current events and the possible future we are heading into.

I review different than most, if you are wanting character and plot exposition, you are not going to get that. I leave that for o

This book will take you on the journey of a sorcerer who is currently masquerading as an official in the military. He intends to use his magical abilities to twist events for the worse. However, his plans don’t go as smoothly as he might have liked them to go.

Stephen Perkins writes this novel in a very intriguing way. Not only does it have a creative plot, but it is filled with many unique characters and settings. It’s also filled with many plot twists which will leave you quickly flipping throu

Stephen Perkins entices us with another novel about dark forces manipulating the government. An ambitious terrorist controlling the majority to gain power and riches is the main theme. But it all began sacrificing his son’s innocence to achieve mayhem among the people.

Jim Keogh is condemned to death to keep the “carbon unit human resources” in balance. He had been committed to a hospital 50 years ago in connection to the death of his high school math teacher. All who were acquainted with him in

If you are a reader of futuristic fantasy fiction then this is a must read or add to any collection. Its a very fast paced in order to change the present the hero must change the past kind of story. Completely spell bind and memorizing from the very first page.As a plus all past conflicts are torn right from the headlines giving the reader a possible glimpse into our future. If our future turns out to have those with mystical powers that is. However a very pleasant and surprising read that takes ...more

Raging Falcon by Stephen Perkins is a gripping thriller that features war in the twenty-first century, but a war not fought with conventional weapons like guns and bombs. Readers are introduced to some compelling characters, including Major Stacey Truman Keogh, a man with extraordinary powers and an ambition that nothing will stop.

I could have enjoyed this thriller fully not that I didn't enjoy it except for some of the editing errors that could have been easily handled with good editing. That s

When writing sci-fi, it’s so difficult to capture the reader in the world you have created within the pages. I don’t think Mr. Parkins has any problems grabbing the attention of the reader, and enveloping them in the world he has built. With so much going on, it can be hard to lose yourself in what is being said, but I feel this was written with more of a mature young adult audience, so it’s not too challenging of a read. Plus, there is a list of definitions, meanings, and character descriptions ...more

One of the things everyone thinks about is government control and whether they abuse the power that they have access to. Is it for the good of the people or is it harming the people? And depending on the world that we lived in what could it look like if you add magic and wars?

In this world, a spy agency has taken control of the government and has used its power to control with blackmail, terror kills, bombings and stuff like that. Control with fear. This is something that you see in the current

Old Jim Keogh had been in the New Salem Regional ‘Enrichment’ Center for fifty years for a murder he didn’t commit. As the Regional Global Unity Council, specifically Chairman Woodall, pushed to have old Jim placed on the “unsustainable list”, Warden Averill Howard feverishly worked to get Jim pardoned. Expecting him to be terminated that night, Jim’s guards, along with other prisoners who have befriended Jim through the years all sit with him, while Jim tells the full story of what happened tho ...more

A great mystery and thriller.

This book is a very dynamic one. I got pulled in from the very beginning. It starts off as a bit of a mystery set approximately fifty years into the future,  and then delves into a man's recollection of his past, which takes place in 2011. The plot is very plausible. It isn't far-fetched. Even though there are some elements of magic and sorcery, the topic of government corruption and terrorism is also included. Each character is described in detail, and everyone has

First I want to say this is not my usual genre so at times it was hard for me to wrap my head around and really enjoy the plot, with that being said I do believe Stephen is a talented writer that has this unique written voice that can grasp his readers attention (if this is their genre), and the characters were will built. I give authors, like Stephen big kudos for the creativity and imagination when I come across to books like this one.

Stephen Perkins introduces us another gripping tale of political intrigue , magic and physiological thriller. This is my second book written by Stephen Perkins and to be honest I did not believe he had another great one in him but he completely surprised me with this story . He takes you and enveloping tale in the world that has been changed and destroyed and what is left is a dystonia society focused on sustainability of all and where magic reins. It starts it's tale in 2063 in a prison where a ...more

Well, I never thought I would be alive to see witness the merger of two of the strangest things ever!
A distant future, something very precious to us but highly ignored was eliminated permanently, society is now left speechless and without the power of having an opinion.
To be completely honest, I’m not into topics such as politics, especially in times like this, but the way is portrayed in this book in such a compelling way is remarkable, and not only does the author accomplish such feat but it a

Wow. Talk about an in depth plot and characters you wont soon forget! The book has a strong political pull, but it is written in such a manner that this only enhances the story. The government is corrupt, and an innocent man sits in jail. Jim is a man that lives out his life in prison- which is soon to end. Th execution is to take place quickly, and Jim tells the people he has befriended in his prison walls about the tale he has kept secret for all these years. This is a fantastic thriller! Magi ...more

A fiction thriller based on the theme if misuse of powers and how far you can go to maintain the control. Jim Keogh, tells the story of his father who had magical power and control, created an evil world and even sent his son to prison for political powers. He still believe he would like to have the strength of his father to use it for good. The character description and events are the highlights of the book. This is not a light read novel and I had to re-read some paragraphs to underst
