I am not sure what happened here. It ended before 70% and then there was a bonus read, which I made up to 78%. The story wasn't interesting enough for me to continue. It was so predictable, the rock star lame, the ex-husband storyline was weak, and it became dull. I usually don't rate a book I haven't finished, but it seems I did since it was over at around 65%.

LOVED this story about Christian and Vanessa! I finally know their backstory, what was only hinted at in the first two books! You killed it, JA Low!
There are fine lines drawn between the friendship, lust, and love between Christian and Vanessa. What started out as a random one-nighter, turned into something neither one was expecting. And once the lines were blurred and actions were taken, it became clear that what they weren't prepared for was exactly what they needed.
Suddenly Together is an intense and emotional love story. Heartache, repressed feelings, and complications are only a few issues Christian and Vanessa endure while navigating their complex relationship. Their story is not a simple one, and there are always two sides. Falling in love is the toughest hurdle these two face; what you think should be easy and come naturally, takes Chris and Ness years to achieve. Jealousies, drama, misunderstandings, and more all play a pivotal role in their journey together. But once they both realize they're better together than apart, sparks fly and the love they have for one another grows stronger. Romantic, fiery, and sensual....Chris and Ness are meant for each other!
I will never get enough of Dirty Texas! These boys sure know how to surprise readers! They're dirty talkers, sexy, swoony, and an all-around delicious mix of charm and arrogance. Their stories are absolute MUST READS, and I cannot wait for more!

The second full length book in the Dirty Texas series by J.A. Low was a notch above the others. As always this author writes entertaining and sexy stories and for the most part I really loved this book with the exception of once again the hero totally disrespecting the heroine. Look, I get that these guys are "rock stars" and they live the whole fame lifestyle, but if you are serious about someone and you really love them like you say you do then you don't disrespect them and you especially don't disrespect them in the house you both live in. This book was a bit more serious than the first two and this couple has a long and crazy history which made their relationship even more difficult, and while I believed their love for one another if I had been the heroine the hero would have had to grovel a whole lot more and it would have taken me a much longer time to trust him again.
Vanessa and Christian have been friends for 5 years after a weekend sex fest before they knew she would be his band's PR executive and while they decide being friends is better than nothing at all over the years they've blurred the lines and slept together even while they see other people. Living together in the same house they are close and while the band all thinks there is more between them, they've put on the front that they are only friends. Christian has been in love with Vanessa for a long time, but knows she doesn't believe in love and happily ever after and even so he wants more. This is their story, it isn't pretty and there are a lot of twists and turns, but through it all it is that underlying core of friendship that helps them see their way to the other side.
I really do love these two together and firmly believe that their feelings run deep even when they don't want to admit it. I enjoyed seeing the background to their history, the reason Vanessa is so skittish, and why Christian craves more and even watching them work through everything. I will admit I was disappointed in them both in this book for different reasons, but my disappointment in Christian runs really deep. While I'm not sad they found their way back to one another, as a woman I felt Vanessa forgave Christian way too easily especially given the way he went about trying to get her attention.
While I have enjoyed this series, the way the heroes have disrespected the heroines is troubling to me. It is like this author excuses their behavior because they are musicians in a band, but in my opinion that doesn't excuse them. If they are good men, true men then they wouldn't do this to the women they supposedly have feelings for no matter the situation. They'd communicate, they'd show them and they would act like MEN not spoiled little boys.
Overall, I really enjoyed Suddenly Together and the journey this couple takes to get their happily ever after. I'm intrigued by the remaining characters and will read the next one in this series, but if it contains the same disrespecting behavior of the heroine in that book then I'll have to let it go because honestly enough is enough.

Suddenly Together was an active story laced with humorous banter and obscenities and packed with spoiled rocker antics, drama, angst, conflict, sex clubs, an incidence of domestic violence, friends with benefits, cancer concerns, drunkenness, and lots and lots of erotic sensuality. These rockers were busy! This installment covers a six-year period that partially predates the previous two books in the series. There were parts of the story that took me out of my comfort zone, parts that had me cringing, parts that found me irritated with all the characters, and other parts that had me smirking. The part I liked best - the HEA of course.

Vanessa, a PR executive for rock band Dirty South, and Christian, band member and infamous playboy find themselves in an awkward position after a one night turned weekend stand when they find out they have to work together. As their relationship progresses, they become friends and then friends turn into roommates. This friendship turns to romance, but are they both all in? Does the friendship survive?
This was another well written book in JA Lowe's Dirty Texas book series. This book is full of drama and even a few plot turns that I didn't see coming. If you like rock stars and romance, I highly suggest checking this series out.

3.5 stars - great premise for a story...some hot scenes but some timeline issues that gave me questions

I haven’t read this author before so went in blind. This is a story of friends to lovers, but with a lot of angst throughout. There were a lot of jumps in time, and I felt that it was more like several snapshots of their lives over the years at times.
There is quite a bit of sex in this, including scenes within sex clubs, so don’t read this if that kind of thing isn’t for you. However, if that is something you like reading about, then the scenes in this book will no doubt be to your liking.
The only thing that put me off was grammar issues throughout. It didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the story, but it is something that annoyed me a bit.

5 glowing stars for Suddenly Together and J.A Low. Her work was amazing and this is one of my fav’s for the year! From the get-go I knew I was in for an adventure…and an adventure it was!
Suddenly Together is the story of what happens when bestfriend falls in love and you are too scared to take that leap of faith.
When Vanessa’s PR career is destroyed after being caught having an affair with her boss, by the boss’ wife, she is used as a scapegoat for her boss’ extracurricular activities with almost all the women at the workplace. Not being able to take the ridicule any longer, one of her best friends convinces her to take a job offer in the US.
On her first night in L.A, Vanessa is taken to a party where celebrities and stars mingle alike. Welcome to LA LA Land as they call it. Being approached by two older men, the girls are hit on, quickly letting these creeps know they aren’t interested. Queue two hot, giant footballers…now this is the type of guys they want hitting on them. Excusing herself Vanessa heads to the restroom where she is approached and finding herself in serious trouble, being dragged off by one of the earlier creepers.
Hitting the man in the head with her high heel, Vanessa escapes, only to find herself falling head-over-heels literally into the arms of one perfect stranger. Dumping the footballer and instead heading home with Christian, her sexy saviour, they end up spending the weekend together watching movies and eating in-between having some of the best sex of both their lives!
Day 1 of her new job, Vanessa is called into the meeting by her boss to meet her new clients, rock band Dirty Texas. Walking in Vanessa finds herself face-to-face with the guy who she tossed out of her bed only hours before.
Christian felt the connection, this woman did things to him, both physically and mentally and wants/needs a repeat. Having previously learnt her lesson Vanessa tells Christian nothing can ever happen, they can only ever have a professional relationship and it has to stay that way.
Christian and Vanessa become friends, best friends and even move in together. Settling for friendship, rather having her in that capacity than nothing at all, he torments himself never fully getting her out of his system.
After telling Christian her vibrator just isn’t doing it for her and not wanting to watch her bringing home any more casual hook-ups he suggests a compromise.…”why can’t we be friends with benefits, I mean, you know we are good together in bed”. After debating with herself and although concerned about her job, Vanessa declares as long as no feelings are involved and it’s only sex, why not? Happily remaining best friends with benefits for the next few years, everything is working well until Christian had to go and ruin it…
At one of their best friend’s weddings Christian declares his love for Vanessa, only to have his heart ripped out when she denies any mutual feelings and refuses to give them a chance at a real relationship. Even though he knows she is lying not only to him, but herself things turned ugly when he finds himself taking out his crushed ego on her.
Vanessa does love Christian but is scared to take things further. Not being able to watch any longer, Christian bring home girl after girl, displaying their sexual acts in front of her, she moves out which only irrates Christian further.
To find out what happens next, you will have to read the book yourself! But let me tell you…it’s one heck of a ride and you’re going to love it! If you don’t read this book you will be doing yourself and Low and injustice.
This book ended abruptly leaving unfinished business and me screaming…WHAT THE FUCK, NOOOOO!!!!! Unaware this was a series, and still not knowing if it is…I can only hope Low keeps some of my favourite characters alive for many series to come?
This book had me laughing, crying, screaming and hot flushed with some of the greatest and classiest sex scenes going! Can’t wait to read more of this authors work…I’m definitely a fan and I’m sure you will be too!

OMG!! Wonderful! I did love this book, I got lost in it. I didn’t like some of the time jumps on chapters, sometime the length seemed long in between. Again it’s a long book but it can be split into two books
Christian and Venessa meet five years ago at a party, Chris saved Nessa after someone tried to attack her. They spent an intimate weekend together. When they both went to work on Monday they found themselves look at each other, Nessa was the new PR rep for Dirty Texas, Chris is the guitarist. They both work at Montgomery records and employees can’t date one another. Venessa came to LA to get her life back together after problems in London, Nessa messed around with a married man, her boss, who’s wife caught them and ruined her life. Three Years Later: Christian and Axel visit The Paradise Club they find Kane a football player, who is dating Venessa there. Chris doesn’t like what Kane did to Nessa so he tells her. When Venessa confronts Kane he beats her unconscious and she winds up in the hospital. Nessa doesn’t want to press charges because she doesn’t want everyone to know what happened to her. Chris and Camryn take Nessa home but she can’t stay in that house, so Chris tells her to come live with him. A Year Later: Venessa finds out about her oldest friend Sienna and Beau’s breakup at Sienna’s birthday party, Sienna caught her husband cheating on her with his ex-girlfriends. When Nessa has a meeting with Dirty Texas she can’t hold herself together and breaks down. Evan has the honor of talking to her, that’s when he see a picture of Sienna. Venessa tells the boys she wants to go home for Christmas to be with Sienna. It’s going to be Evan birthday and they are celebrating in Mexico so she asks them to behave. Isla has to watch over the boys and she tells them they are disgusting. Chris hired two porns stars for a birthday present for Evan. Months Later: Sienna and Derrick arrive in LA they will be working with The Dirty Texas on their European tour. Nessa throws a welcoming party for them but must leave to pick up her boyfriend, Nick when she arrives at his house she notices its very quiet. As she makes her way to his bedroom she notices his clothes scattered on the floor then she come upon a black dress and lace panties. Nessa finds her boyfriend with his co-star in bed together. When Nessa goes back to the party Chris is the first one to spot her and she breaks down with him holding her. Nessa confesses to Chris that it’s been a long time since she has good sex, so Chris helps her out with that. Christian and Venessa make an agreement to be friends with benefit and leave their feeling out of it. The boys have practice and Christian head isn’t in it. Chris ask the boys what they are going to do after the tour, they been with each other since high school and touring for ten years. Venessa goes out with the girls and Chris lays awake in bed thinking about her with another man. Until Venessa comes home and tells Chris she has a scratch that needs to be itched. Chris turns down going to a party to be with Venessa and doesn’t care if anyone finds out they are together. Both Chris and Nessa want their freedom, so they make an agreement to be open friends with benefits relationship. Everyone goes out to a club, Chris and Nessa both get jealous over the other, the guys carry the girls out telling them they work for them. Three Months Later: after finishing their European tour Axel, Christian and Venessa are out celebrating and Axel ask if Venessa wants to be their PR directory for Dirty Texas Records and she accepts. Axel and Christian take Venessa to the bedroom and ravage her. Nessa wakes up the next day with Axel, Christian and her all naked in bed. Nessa can’t believe what she did so she get into the shower after the night she had, Chris joins her and they get physical in the shower. All three make sure things are awkward between them, no one wants to do it again. Present day: Evan and Sienna are getting married, it’s Evan’s birthday and it’s New Years Eve, when Chris confesses to Nessa that he loves her, not as best friend but as you are the one. Nessa tells Chris no it would ruin everything they worked so hard to build. Nessa tells him she can’t love him like that, she can’t love anyone like that. Chris gets furious with Nessa and starts yelling he’s not worth the risk, leaves and finds a blonde to take to bed. One Month After The Wedding: Derrick takes Venessa to Christian’s house to get some of her things because Christian doesn’t want anything to do with Venessa. Derrick and Venessa find Christian in the pool entertaining several woman. They tell Chris he is disgusting and a pig. A week after Venessa moves out, her and Derrick are throwing a party. Venessa is chatting with an Australian actor, Darcy when Christian come busting in a hits him and yells at Nessa because she moved out. About Time!
It took me awhile to want to read this book only because I was mad at Vanessa for being so stubborn. But I really liked this book, V and Chris are a great couple, they are fun, adventurous, bold and loveable!
I'm so glad these two got the stuff together and got their HEA.
Loved reading about the rest of Dirty Texas again too, I love the whole gang and can't wait for all their books.
JA keeps getting better and better for me and her writing and story telling improves with every book and jeez the hotness factor is getting higher and higher.

How about some Dirty Texas?! Hell yeah, especially when we are talking about sexy Christian who just happens to live every man’s fantasy from being a rock star with groupies galore to living a life full of debauchery and good times. Then there is Nessa who has been shamed by some heartless people in her life which has made her make some unwise choices in the love department. Nessa literally ran into Christian and it was Christian who came to Nessa’s rescue and from that point on it began a friendship of the highest kind. But what happens when things turn more serious between these “friends”? Can Nessa put up with all the groupies who throw themselves at her best friend and does Chris have it in him to be able to look past all of the women to see what is really important to him?
This is a book that will keep you turning pages because you just hope and pray that these two people will realize what they have before they blow it all apart. Ms. Low also hits on some very emotional topics as far as breast cancer is concerned and did a stellar job in bringing a very soul searching decision to the forefront. This is my first time reading this author and I have to say I’m hooked. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the guys in Dirty Texas and what hot stories will unfold for each of them.

This is my first time reading this author and I have to say I’m hooked. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the guys in Dirty Texas and what hot stories will unfold for each of them.

Christian and Nessa were awesome characters.... especially Christian. Nessa, although her stubborn resistance to a relationship with Christan is explained, it still got on my nerves since avoiding pain was the reason for denial and yet as a reader we see where that got her. Stupid. And Christian's hurt showed us that he still lacked maturity.
Personally, the whole club thing could if been skipped. I think the Rock stars are sexy enough as the" twin scene" at home was super hot. I was not happy to see Christian show up at the club and catch Nessa there with Derrick and the girls. What was he thinking? Nessa could of caught him doing something and....well, that didn't get that far. So other than that I didn't see the point of a sex club in the story.
So with the twin thing....I hope book with Axle comes up soon. He is hot.

This is book 2 in Dirty texas series. After reading Evans and Seinna's book i was so eager to read Christian and Vanessa's book!
And i am so happy to say that the book didnt disappoint me till the end. The most part i love about this book was that there were other elements in there besides only concert or intimacy.
Tge showed the whole story of Chris and Nessa's friendship and how it evolved!
There were character from the book and character from hopefully future books!
The story, the plot, the sexual chemistry and the humour was awesome!
It was light read with some elements od senti and emotional in mix.
Now i am waiting for the next book in this series, because why the hell not!!!

Okay read
Hmm what to say. Enjoyed some aspects of the book, others not so much. Felt both lead characters were both immature then mature.then immature again, didn’t like as much as the first book.

The title is a lie. They are not "suddenly together." They go through years of not being on the same page. That is hardly "suddenly."
It really is kind of funny. I like this series as a whole. I think kindly of it when I look back at the stories but there isn't a single one in the series that I would give 5 stars and I've read the entire series twice (so I obviously like it). Book 1 and Book 3 are probably the best. But even those have the theme of at least the MMC pushing against the relationship. In book 1, Evan didn't think he could settle down and Sienna thought is was not worth expecting him to. She tried to move on. He was so hot and cold with her. However, his hot and cold moods lasted a day or two. The pair in this book takes it up about 10 notches.
This book also has a very long epilogue that begins around 64%. With every epilogue in the entire series, I had to skim it. Book 5 is the only one that doesn't.
Vanessa isn't my favorite female character in this series. Isla may be my favorite but none of them are great. Olivia and Isla both lack a backbone. I did like Olivia otherwise. Vanessa and Stacey both seem to be that working woman don't need a man type. Stacey to a much lesser degree. Vanessa sometimes comes across as a witch because of that attitude.
Vanessa and Christian do horrible things to each other in this book. I also didn't like that their friends took her side. Not that they turned against him but they saw him as the one in the wrong without seeming to acknowledge she screwed up pretty badly, also. She ripped his heart out more than once and I guess he was just supposed to get over it. His behavior afterward was extremely immature but she was just as much to blame. She wasn't exactly mature herself.
For the series in general - I don't like that 3 out of 5 of the guys ended up with women they had known for years. I like a friends to lovers book every now and then but not 60% of the time. It's also not as if they are just now noticing the person. They all fell for each other well in the past. These stories are just the realization of what they have been hiding from themselves.
This story, in particular, could have been told in such a better way. Even if they were going to take a while to be together, it didn't need to be as ugly as it was. In general, readers are not that forgiving of men, or women, sleeping with other people when on a break from the relationship we're reading about. It just isn't something we want to see even when it isn't cheating.
Quite honestly, the thing that saves this whole series is the quantity of really hot sex scenes. There are some of those in here but the hottest are yet to come. (No pun intended.) Although, book 5 doesn't give us that many.
This author has the worst grammar of any author I've ever read that gets more than 50 ratings on Amazon. Her success makes her refusal to hire an editor who knows what he or she is doing unreasonable.
Bottom line, I do recommend the series but if you can't stand angst or can't tolerate main characters hooking up with others, you will not like this series. (Slight sexual spoiler here - in later books, hooking up with others is part of a kink and I don't fault that as much. It isn't something I'm into but some of the couples are.)

So Hot My Screen Almost Melted!
These Dirty Texas boys are setting some high standards for my other book boyfriends to live up to! LOL! Book 2, Dirty Promises, focuses on Christian and Vanessa. If you have not read Book 1, Wyld & Dirty, I would recommend you go back and read it first. You do not have to - the author does a great job via flashbacks that explain how these two first met and came to be so close. I personally like going in order because not only are we getting the main characters story - but the author has some great plots in these books that carry from book to book. I knew when I met christian and Vanessa in Book 1 I couldn’t wait to read their story and it was even better than I had anticipated.
Christian Tyler would have tied himself to Vanessa early on had they not worked together. From the first time they have a one night stand that turns into a weekend long sex fest you know this boy is hooked on Vanessa. But since they work together Vanessa refuses to be anything other than friends. That eventually turns to friends with benefits. And the benefits are HOT. Pretty sure my kindle almost melted on a few of these scenes.
Vanessa was one of my favorite characters right from the get go. I was so glad to finally learn why she kept Christian in the friends zone for so long! She is so sassy and spunky and I love the way she handles the Dirty Texas boys.
My favorite genre is Rockstar Romance and I am extremely picky about which books I like. So far this series is one of my all time favorites. What I thought was exceptionally well done in this book was the inclusion of a story talking about BRCA mutation and being tested for the gene. Women all over face this struggle and bringing it into the story I thought was beautiful. Kudos Ms. Low for this!
Now I am on to Book 3. I cannot wait to see what Christian’s twin will do when he meets his “one.” He is just so sure his bandmates are crazy for settling down. You know he is about to fall hard!
I also cannot wait to see what glimpses we get to see of how married life is treating Evan and Christian and their growing families. Oh, I really can’t wait to see what Derrik is up to. He is one of my absolute favorites and I hope we eventually get to see him get his “one.”

Suddenly Together - Book 2 in the “Dirty Texas” series by J.A Low
This is the 2nd book in this series and I am in love with this Author.

Christian is a part of the “Dirty Texas” rock band and a complete man whore…. He never wants to settle down. Having all those groupies are way too much fun……. if only he knew what was about to hit him…. literally.
Vanessa’s life is crashing around her and she needs to leave. She is offered a job as the PR for Dirty Texas Rock Band but the weekend before she is due to start her new position, she is assaulted by an old sleaze of a man. She is about to be rescued in more ways than one….
Introductions are made, time goes by and old flames ignite once again… She cannot allow a crush to deter her from her job. It is not worth it… or so she thinks…
The guy’s drive Vanessa crazy with all their antics. They get up to way to much mischief and she is at her wits end. She cannot go on like this. Seeing him with so many woman night after night is killing her. She is in love with him but he cannot know. It has to remain a secret.
Christian is falling hard and he can’t accept it. He has to forget about her but the only problem is, he cannot forget her. She is all he thinks about…. All he sees. He professes his love but things go south and everything falls apart.
Vanessa is about to have major surgery. She cannot go under the knife without telling him how she feels. What if she doesn’t wake up? She has to tell him now…..
Oooo Isla and Finn’s story is going to rock.. I just know it.
You can’t help fall in love with Derrick too. He is so amazing and I wish I had a friend like that. #Swoon
J.A Low writes with so much passion. I am in love with her characters. Every chapter is well thought through.
I laughed hysterically while reading this book. The sass, humour and quirky comebacks had me almost choking on my coffee a couple of times. Note to self…. Don’t drink beverages while reading J.A Low’s books. I even cried ugly tears that had my makeup running. Another note to self… wear waterproof mascara and don’t read while at work. My staff thought something was wrong.

I haven't read the first in this series but That didn't stop me enjoying the worlds of Christian and Vanessa when they met and how they survived through everything that they had to live through till they made their life what they wanted it to be.
This book starts at what seems to be a great moment but when Vanessa doesn't answer the way Christian was expecting things seemed to start on their deep dark road to destruction.
You then go to the beginning of their story, of how they met and how he was a hero to her for helping her escape a bad situation and then they went on to spend a great weekend together where they shared great sex and lots of conversations. They both had a reason for hiding their true identities but they would soon regret this.
They are thrown together and become best friends but as they are committed to their work their brief fling of that one magical weekend had to be put at the back of their minds and they had to forget about the hot, sexy, chemistry between them and get on as work colleagues and nothing more.
They had a magnetism that kept pulling them back together but they worked together so they had to bury their feelings and continue as if nothing had happened even though their deeper friendship blossomed but would that ever be enough. Could they keep their lives purely platonic when he was a rock god with groupies throwing themselves at him at every opportunity and her a successful, beautiful woman in the music business. Their lives didn't go smoothly but they made them work.
Vanessa had a medical emergency and although she knew she shouldn't, she had to have Christian by her side to help her through. It was at this point where their relationship started to take a sharp turn. Their lives were intertwined but you could not see how much until they awoke together to their telephones ringing and their doors banging.

This was an enjoyable story. Although like Suddenly Dirty I did find it hard to get into, but for very different reasons. As with this story it was more to do with the will they won't they scenario between Vanessa and Christian. That plays out for the majority of this book. Which I'm not a huge fan of anyway and I had also hoped this book would pick up from where Suddenly More ended. Rather than start back at the beginning of Christian and Vanessas relationship.
This also meant that the chemistry that is there with Vanessa and Christian in the beginning. Is somewhat missing by the time they finally get together for good. And I do think Vanessa forgave Christian far too easily. Even though I kind of understand the reason he reacted the way he did. Because even I didn't understand why Vanessa was so against being in a relationship with Christian. Especially as it was obvious she loved him and also seemed to change her mind about everything pretty quickly.
Overall though this was a good read, and there was certainly more things I liked than I didn't. Plus all the characters in this series are very likable. Even though there are a lot of them. And I will certainly be checking out Axels story as well as the novella that continues Christian and Vanessas story. I would also recommend this story to others. Especially if your a fan of Rock Star Romance.

Hot, romantic, sexy and heart-breaking.
Fear almost destroyed both of them.
Suddenly Together is a great well-written book in my favourite rocker genre, about letting the fear of losing a best friend interfere with a chance at a true romantic love.
It starts in the prologue where Christian Taylor, guitarist for Dirty Texas has fallen for his best friend of five years. Finally having the guts to admit his true feelings for Vanessa, their PR manager, he tells her that just a friendship isn’t enough for him anymore.
Going back to the beginning of their five year friendship, the story tells us how they met, her refusal to continue to engage romantically with him, and Christian’s own determination to at least hold onto her as best friends, all while they continue with their own individulal sexual encounters. Vanessa’s with her various medium term partners, and his with groupies. I found it heart-breaking that Christian was so stoic in his love for Vanessa and her continual refusal through fear.
There eventually comes a time where someone has to move forward or break, and then, even a friend is lost forever.
I have to admit to struggling with Vanessa’s attitude, but, I did enjoy this book so much that I’ve since bought the others in the series. 4 Stars for a book that I recommend as great reading!

Oh WOW! Amazing story line. I especially liked how the story took a turn with Vanessa and Christian. The author's introduction of the BRCA test for the breast cancer gene with Vanessa's mother was outstanding. It was a wonderful way to remind women about this testing in a book that is all about rockers, women, beauty, sex and love. I adored the way the author wrote Christian's reaction to Vanessa's following her mother's footsteps and having her self tested as well. It did not take away from the original story line between Vanessa and Christian and their relationship, it added to it. I loved the way the other characters rallied around her and how they all stuck together in showing their love and support. I absolutely loved the ending of this book, as it was so.....them! Yes, there were a few major hiccups along their journey, but man when you have friends like they do...and yes Derrick is there as well, you can't go wrong. This was an absolute joy to read, even if it tugged at the heart strings a few times, it was amazing! Absolute must read!!!

At the beginning of the book, we got to go back in a time a bit to catch us up to where we ended with Sienna and Evan's novella. That was helpful to fill in some gaps.
Christian acted out when he shared his feeling with Vanessa and she got scared. It caused Vanessa to move out so she didn't have to see his antics. After some candid conversations with Evan and Derrick after a few months of not speaking, Christian realized how his actions could have hurt Vanessa even more. He realized he needed to apologize and try to get back to at least a friendship if she wasn't ready for more. When he found out that she was going through some health issues, they had just started speaking again and things progressed quickly to restore their relationship. Once the two finally talked it out, they realized they wanted to same things.....now on to the novella, Suddenly Begins, to find out more!

2 stars cuz I really wanted to love this.
It made me want to read Play by Kylie Scott again...so maybe that will wash this shit from my brain. The H is a total whore and there’s so much fucking ridiculous, random OTT plot I couldn’t see his redemption through it all. That’s why it’s only 2 stars, the h was terribly cardboard, the plot was so convoluted it got lost in the lack of depth, and all the characters felt like caricatures.
I give zero fucks over a manwhore rockstar trope, it doesn’t offend me...but I gotta believe he’s redeemed to enjoy it. I can’t even tell where the H/h dealt with his (and her) behavior. Too much telling and no showing going on here :/
On a positive note, reading this couple’s novella Suddenly Begins (2.5 in the series), I can forget his whoredom and totally dig his BBF antics.

On a positive note, reading this couple’s novella Suddenly Begins (2.5 in the series), I can forget his whoredom and totally dig his BBF antics.

Found this book through a blind date with a book group and I loved it! Though there were some things I didn’t agree with such as; all of a sudden no more mentioning of her best friend, this book was still a very good read! The characters were funny and found myself liking all the secondary characters and I can’t wait to go back and read more on this amazing little band! I really liked how Chris and Nessa maintained their friendship! Though it was really hard at times they knew the other person was supposed to be there forever and they made sure to do what it takes to keep the other in their life!
I will add that there were some scenes that I would normally find uncomfortable but I found myself actually enjoying this other side!! Great read!
