Hockey player Ben Westmore has some serious skills---on and off the ice---and he's not above indulging in the many perks of NHL stardom. But the smoking-hot woman who walks into his office immediately tests all his good intentions.

Olivia Davis doesn't need anyone derailing her career---or her dreams of starting a family---least of all a skirt-chasing player like Ben. But soon he's unleashing a full-court press to convince her that he's the real deal. She's slowly falling for his sweet, rugged charm, but with so much on the line, Olivia has to decide whether Ben can truly change---or if he's just playing the game.

Maybe This Love is book two in the Colorado Ice series by Jennifer Snow. Wow, I loved this one. This is Ben Westmore’s story. We know Ben as the player of the Westmore family. We find out, though, in this book, that there is so much more to Ben, and I can’t wait to tell you about it.

Ben Westmore is a professional hockey player for the NHL. He is Captain of his team, the Colorado Avalanche and is MVP in the league that season. We know Ben as a player. With his good looks and celebrity status, he can have any woman he wants and he takes advantage of that fact. Any woman he is with knows in advance that he does not want anything more than a night of fun. That he is not the least bit interested in a relationship.

hockey player:

Ben is not a drinker. He takes care of his body. But four months ago, New Years Eve, things got out of hand. His memory of that night is pretty murky. Ben has taken his team to the playoffs twice before. And they have made it again this year. He has a reputation for choking under pressure in both the previous playoffs. This year is the one, the year he will take his team all the way to the Stanley Cup. Right when he should be concentrating on nothing else but training, though, he’s informed of some surprising news related to that crazy night four months ago.

The Stanley Cup. ^-^:

Olivia Davis has spent all of her adult life concentrating on her career and she is very successful. But she’s also alone. She wants a family but doesn’t see it happening in the natural way so she has been considering other methods of getting pregnant. The day Ben Westmore came into her office, it was like a punch to the gut. The electricity was crazy between them. She knows full well of his reputation. It must just be her hormones reacting.

https://www.goodreads.com/

Ben can’t get Olivia off his mind. To see her socially would be inappropriate in so many ways. But he can’t stop thinking about her. He helped to orchestrate a couple of encounters and all it did was make their attraction stronger instead of getting her out of his system. He needs to concentrate on nothing but the playoffs but all that is in his head is Olivia.

a kiss on the ice:

These two were just so fantastic together. It just took them awhile to figure it out. I loved their chemistry. Olivia learns that there is so much more to Ben than his reputation. He opens himself to her in ways he never has with anyone else. Both of them have walls built around their hearts but those walls slowly fall away. Can they risk getting hurt? Can they let themselves fall in love?

“I can’t get enough of you, Olivia. You make me crazy for you…for your body…your mind…your heart…”

Believe in me:

I loved this book right from the start. I didn’t think I would love Ben as much as I did from previously meeting him in the earlier books. I really, really, did, though! Olivia was so guarded. I loved seeing the way Ben wore her down. It was so adorable. I am in love with this series and the Westmore family. I love how close they are. Jennifer Snow, you’ve done it again with this one. It’s amazing. The next book in the series will be Maybe This Summer. If you haven’t read any of the series yet, I encourage you to start at the beginning and meet the Westmores in Maybe This Kiss. I hope you love them as much as I do.

Its play-off time and Ben Westmore, hockey player, womanizer and sworn bachelor needs to concentrate on the game, his team and winning the Stanley Cup, period. Thanks to author Jennifer Snow, that isn’t going to happen, but what DOES happen is worth every word on every page as life scores a hat trick against Ben’s playboy ways!

MAYBE THIS LOVE is Jennifer Snow’s latest fun, quirky and heart-warming romance and it starts out with a bang! Ben Westmore, the man who treats his body like a temple has one too many drinks new Year’s Eve and ends up married to, well, he has no idea who he married or even that he was married. Now, four months later, he will find himself in need of a very quick and quiet divorce.
That isn’t enough? He has a flirtatious run in with the opposing attorney and pretty much manages to give credence to every nasty thing said about his “charming” ways.

Olivia Davis, attorney to the sports stars or their wives is a woman who has made the choice to give up living to make her mark in her career. When she realizes that her biological clock is running down, she knows she wants to feel the joy of motherhood, no partner involved, of course, but when she comes in contact with Ben, even she can’t control her eggs vibrating to mingle with him. Good thing she knows he is a rat. Or is he?

Like a bad rash, Ben can’t get over the attraction he has to the woman who can ruin his life in a blink. Together they call a truce as their emotions play havoc and they cross the lines of propriety with a passion that sizzles off the pages as two souls find what was missing in their lives!
Fun reading, filled with a passion that only two driven people can create!

I liked this story against all odds.
It has so many things I don’t particularly like: player hero who told me many times about his past; his marriage and divorce to OW, without explanation why and WTH; some plot holes etc.
But somehow everything played well together.
The treasure of the book – strong independent heroine. Loved her.
She was 2 years older (h 36, h 34) and wanted to become a mother (in vitro).
Sweet safe story. I liked how the hero tried to change, how he chased her. I had a feeling he was still in love with the idea of his ex, but he proved to leave it behind and to become a better man for the woman he loved.

Where is my epilogue??? *argh*

Ben is a professional hockey player, who has skills on and off the ice. He knows he can have any woman he wants and quite often he takes advantages of it. When he suddenly hears what he had done on New year’s Eve, he’s in big trouble and needs a lawyer to take care of the situation. He’s not a big drinker, but a moment from his past hit him hard and drunken night out led to a mistake he never meant to make. Olivia is a divorce attorney for professional athletes and she’s worked hard to get where she’s now. Concentrating on work didn’t leave time for her personal life, but being in her 30-s, she longs for a family, especially because she doesn’t have any family members herself. When Ben and Olivia meet there’s instant chemistry, but considering the circumstances, they just can’t be together at the time. Fate on the other hand has other plans and they start to bump into each other and as they spend more time in each other’s present, feelings are starting to develop.

It was my first book by Jennifer Snow and even though it’s the second book in the series it can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed this book and I definitely want to read about the other Westmore brothers. It’s a well written book that makes you devour this sweet romance. It has a great storyline, characters and romance. I loved seeing both main characters open up to each other and working through their issues towards the ir happily ever after. I’m really happy I decided to read this book, because I found a new author whose work I enjoy.

Maybe This Love was a sweet and entertaining read.
The storyline held my interest, the characters were likable and relatable and I enjoyed watching them come together.
Ben and Olivia entertained me while I got to know them and while I did find myself a little frustrated with some things, it wasn't enough to take away from my overall enjoyment.

Maybe This Love (Colorado Ice #2) by Jennifer Snow Jennifer Snow’s MAYBE THIS LOVE is an excellent addition to the Colorado Ice series.  Colorado Avalanche Captain, Ben Westmore, ends up needing a lawyer after a weekend in Vegas. He finds himself attracted to the opposing counsel, Olivia Davis.  This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult audiences.

We met both Ben and Olivia in book one, MAYBE THIS TIME.  Ben is Jackson’s brother, and Olivia was Abby’s lawyer.  I found how the two met amusing.  They both were hurt in previous relationships and are leery of commitment.

I like Ben.  I felt bad for what happened to him with Janelle.  I can see how it would have messed with him to make the stupid mistake that he made.  It doesn’t help that all this happens when his team is making a run for the cup, and he has been criticized for choking in previous playoffs.  There is a lot of pressure of him.  He has an amazing family.  Olivia is a great character.  She is a successful lawyer, but she lacks confidence socially.  Her parents died when she was young, and she longs for a family.

I enjoyed the plot.  The story was believable and well laid out.  I like how Ben was adaptable on their dates.  He is very creative and thoughtful.  I also, appreciated how Ben handles things with Brandon.  I love that Olivia gets along great with Ben’s family.  There are a lot of funny scenes.  I especially found the episode with the police officer amusing.  MAYBE THIS LOVE had a great ending.  I’m looking forward to Owen’s story in the next book of the series, MAYBE THIS SUMMER.  I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This review may contain SPOILERS!
Just like book one I wasn't a 100 percent into this story. Ben and Olivia were nice and all, but I just could not get myself to love them as I do with other characters, stories or books. The reason for this may be that I think Ben is the typical bad boy turned good guy, I didn't think that anything about him was remarkable or that he was different from all the other bookish love interests. Olivia was a little better, her reserved and calm charisma made for a rather interesting and different character. I think that the reason I keep buying these books is actually the cover, I am a total cover victim. That doesn't mean that this story is dull, it just isn't for me. I can see that other people may like the more reserved voice of this book and that realistically it is more realistic than some other love stories, even though Ben is a professional hockey player. Due to my cover victim behavious I will probably buy book three as well, but I hope that this story will be a better fit for me!

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!

Jennifer hit this one out of the park! Into the net? Insert-awesome-sports-metaphor-here.

Olivia and Ben met almost as soon as the book began, and I love when that happens. Their, shall we say, unique platonic relationship was certainly put to the test under the strains of their attraction, and Jennifer wrote this just beautifully. I was eagerly turning the pages to see how these two would finally get together!

What I love the most about Jennifer's books, this one absolutely included, is she really writes smart characters. I could actually envision Olivia doing the things she did and Ben saying things he did. Olivia's own unique personal "quest" was one that I've never read in a romance novel before, and again, I was GLUED to the pages to see where that went as well.

If you like a smart, emotional, pulls-you-in-and-won't-let-go-until-the-last-page contemporary romance, THIS IS YOUR BOOK!!! It's another reminder of why Jennifer is, hands-down, one of my all-time favorite authors!

Maybe This Love is the 2nd book is Ms. Snow's new series and I loved it just as much as the first. After finding out his ex-girlfriend is getting engaged Ben gets drunk in Vegas and marries a woman he doesn't know nor remember. Now four months later his new wife is reaching out to make it work but it looks like a divorce is on the horizon.

Olivia is a divorce attorney for professional athletes and loves her job. She worked hard on building her career and that left very little time for her personal life. Now in her 30s she wants to have a baby since she lost her parents young. Ben is like every male athlete she has ever come across. He's gorgeous, entitled and of course a player so why does she feel such an strong attraction to him?

It seems like Olivia is running into Ben everywhere now including his family members but with her representing his soon to be ex wife things are getting awkward. When a kiss leads to confused feelings Olivia must decide what she is going to do but can Ben be the changed man he claims to be?

While reading this I have to admit I really expected things to be predictable but I was pleasantly surprised how Ms. Snow switched it up which I loved.

Of course Ben and Olivia are on opposite sides and yet I love how they bonded from the very beginning even though it wasn't all the noticeable at first. Their relationship is slow but Snow makes up for it in banter, hockey, and their growing friendship.

Honestly once I started I couldn't put this read down and read it in one sitting. There was nothing repetitive and it flowed smoothly. This is one series I am keeping my eye on and can't wait to hear what everyone thinks of Maybe This Love!

Just when you think you have life all figured out, it starts to spin out of control. Now if you can stop it in the right spot though, you might just find what you never thought you were looking for.

Ben had it all figured out. After giving love a solid shot and having it blow up in his face, he had decided he was find without commitment. It is never easy as a NHL player anyway, all that time on the road and the woman throwing themselves at you. When he finds himself in need of a lawyer, the last thing he ever expected across the room was Olivia. Something about this woman drew him in from the very beginning. Sure he new it was a bad idea. But he kept putting himself out there. Needing to get to know her better.

Olivia was taking her life in her own hands. Who needs a man to have a family? She is career focused, but nobody said she couldn't have a child and make her life what she wanted. She feels the attraction and chemistry but she can't follow on it. But the more she is around Ben the less her strength is. Soon she finds herself being wooed by him but can she believe he as truly changed. Can she live the life of the woman left at home while he is away playing games?

Can he love again? Will she be willing to put herself out there? Could this be the love that changes two people for life? Could there be a family in the near future?

This book was a nice romantic read. I did find it took a little bit to pull me in and want to know what was happening. I enjoyed the characters and the secondary characters let you know that there is more to come with this series.

In this book hockey player Ben Westmore, who is also a player off the ice thinks it is a joke as he is looking at a marriage certificate. It has to be, but no he is told by is lawyer agent that what he is looking at is real. That his trip to Vegas that was for a hockey game he also got married. Now he has a meeting with her attorney to come to terms to end the marriage. Olivia Davis has decided that since she has no man in her life and none in the forcible future it is time to take matters in her own hands and goes to a fertility clinic before starting the case for her new client who is divorcing a hockey player. Her problem comes in that she was not expecting Ben Westmore to be so agreeable to all of the terms, and does he need to be charming as well, and there is that big problem of being good looking and for some reason she is feeling attracted to him. Now she feels that her career is in jeopardy. She decides that he is just putting on some kind of charm to try to get out of paying whatever it is he needs to. He then does the unthinkable and goes full penalty kill mode to let her know that he is a different man and that he wants to be with her and only her. Once she finds out more about her client and what really happened and yet he is still willing to help her and her son she is becoming more, and more taken by Ben. Will she though finally get the big hockey guy or will she let him walk? Read this fun fast paced book. I got this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com

3.5 Stars so rounding up to 4

This is a quick, somewhat predictable read. The plot and how the main characters met are unique though. Even though the characters from book one are in this book, it can be read as a standalone.

Ben is a really good guy in a bad situation. He is super sweet and very grounded even though he’s a famous hockey player. Other than the few texts he received, his ‘player’ personality doesn’t really show. I’d call him more of a commitment-phobe and that’s with good reason.

Olivia is a bit confusing. She’s making a life altering decision even though she hasn’t really even tried to be in a relationship with a man. She makes several unethical decisions where Ben is concerned and she’s a bit wishy-washy at times.

I don’t feel like their story is over so I’m actually hoping they show up in the next book. I’m assuming the next book will be about Asher and there was a bit of foreshadowing with him in this one.

The writing was pretty good but I’m a huge hockey fan and there were a couple of inaccuracies about the playoffs that bugged me a little. 1) The 2nd round of the playoffs is the semi-finals which would lead to the conference finals, not the cup finals. 2) If Colorado was home for the first game of the cup finals, then they would stay at home for game 2, not go on the road. The format is 2-2-1-1-1. 3) There is never a shootout in overtime in the playoffs; they play until someone wins.

Overall, this book is as good as book one and if you’re looking for a quick, albeit predictable, romance story this would be a good book for you.

I love when a book comes together with great characters, chemistry, nice storyline, and laughs. This is what you get when you read Maybe This Love.

I was drawn to this book by the words Colorado and hockey. I am a fan of hockey. It is the only sport that I watch. Living in Colorado, I can remember when the Colorado Avalanche first came on the scene with Patrick Roy, Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, and Adam Foote to name a few. So, you can imagine by delight when I discovered that Ben was the captain of the Avalanche in this book. That fact won him major brownie points in my book. Additionally, it did not hurt that Ben was easy on the eyes.

Olivia had me from the first moment she was introduced. She is a woman who is comfortable in her own skin. Confidence is the best thing women can have. Olivia shows that if you have confidence it does not matter what size you are. The ripping she gave Ben was funny. Yet, he could take it and dish it back. Their playful banter helped spark the chemistry between them even more. One of my favorite scenes was when Olivia was taking a ice skating lesson from Ben. In that moment it was just the two of them. Author, Jennifer Snow has gained a new fan in me.

Ben is the oldest of the Westmores - He's always been the serious one, only concentrating on the game. He doesn't have time for love and he likes his life, being able to get any woman he wants. But all of a sudden Ben finds himself in quite the predicament. It's play-off season again and now he finds out he's married? WTH?! On a drunken New Years Eve, it seems he married a girl he didn't even know. Or so he thinks. But it's not the girl that he married that has him in knots in the woman who is representing her in his divorce! There is an instant connection between Olivia Davis and himself and it's one he just doesn't think he can ignore.

Why did Ben Westmore have to walk into her office? Just when she's decided to give up on her Happily Ever After and reach for her goal herself, the suave and gorgeous Ben Westmore comes into her office and knocks her off her feet. But it's all wrong... it can't work between the two of them can it?

I loved this book. Ben turns on the charm and makes this a super fun read. I love this series and can't wait for the rest of the books in the series.

Ben Westmore is a hockey player who has the player image down to an art. One thing he usually rarely, if ever does, is drink....except this one night in Vegas, on New Years Eve...and for celebrities and famous athletes, what happens in Vegas, unfortunately does not stay in Vegas. It's now four month's down the road, Ben's the Captain of the team, which brings with it a lot of responsibility and pressure. It's time for playoffs, a time when he needs to focus the most, when what happened in Vegas pretty much jumps up and bites him in the butt, and unfortunatley, he has very little memory of it.

Olivia Davis has established herself as a very prominent attorney who specializes in divorce cases, usually defending professional athletes' "soon to be ex-wifes." Her career has been her focus for most of her adult life. She just hasn't had time for relationships and one bad burn from the only relationshipo she did have, has left her a bit gun shy. Now at 36, she's realized she wants a family, or a baby I should say. This to, she has determined to do on her own, which is what brought her to where she now resides.

The situation and circumstances which have brought Ben and Olivia together are not the best, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. Unfortunately, they must deny their attraction, of course, but fate seems to keep throwing them together taking them for one whirlwind of a ride. They have a lot to work through, both individually and as a couple, if they even consider making a go of it, and when the past comes back to haunt them, well.......let's just say that "someone's got a lot of splaining to do."

Maybe This Love is a fun, sweet, sexy romance which has its share of heated moments both physically, which is always hot, and emotionally, where the " hot" is brought on by heated tempers, but it all makes for a really good read. The book is the second in the series, but is easily read as a standalone, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are looking to slip into a little weekend getaway that is fun, entertaining, and has that romance that is just like the cherry on top of an icecream sundae, then you'll want to check out Maybe This Love by Jennifer Snow.

My favorite of the series so far! I started reading Maybe This Love on the subway one day, and I just couldn't stop--even for work! The chemistry between Ben and Olivia is tangible and for that reason, their story is addictive. There is so much more to Ben than I could have imagined based on the glimpses of him in the first two books, and I really, really liked what I saw. And Olivia, she's spunky, and I admire her for going after what she wants. I sincerely appreciated the fact that the drama with Olivia's client was minimal, and generally, Maybe This Love was a light-hearted and fun romance! I only wish there was an epilogue because I was a bit unsatisfied with the brief reunion, but I'm still more excited than ever to continue on with this series!

Simply put, a boring book. I skimmed the final half just to be done. Nothing kept my attention. Sadly, this isn't the series for me.

Summary:

Hockey player Ben Westmore has some serious skills—on and off the ice—and he’s not above indulging in the many perks of NHL stardom. When a night in Vegas ends in disaster, he realizes two things: 1) it’s time to lie low for a while, and 2) he needs a lawyer—fast. But the smoking-hot woman who walks into his office immediately tests all his good intentions.

Olivia Davis doesn’t need anyone derailing her career—or her dreams of starting a family—least of all a skirt-chasing player like Ben. But soon he’s unleashing a full-court press to convince her that he’s the real deal. She’s slowly falling for his sweet, rugged charm, but with so much on the line, Olivia has to decide whether Ben can truly change—or if he’s just playing the game.

Review:

Maybe This Love is a charming and entertaining story which had me so engaged that I read the whole book in one day. I just could not stop; it was that good. The writing was engaging, characters vibrant and relatable and who doesn’t love a story about the Stanley Cup finals, eh!

This second book in the Colorado Ice series begins just before the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs begin. Ben Westmore (captain of the Colorado Avalanche hockey team) is preparing for the series of his life. It is actually his third run at the cup and he must bring it home this time as he may not have another chance. Ben is a playboy off the ice and his actions this past New Year’s Eve have come back to haunt him. New Year’s Eve his ex-girlfriend (Janelle) gets engaged on television (Ben proposed to Janelle previously but she chose work over Ben). In an effort to forget, Ben gets drunk, hooks up with a woman he does not know (Kristina Sullivan) and gets married. Now to get himself out of this pickle.

Olivia Davis is opposing counsel in the divorce proceedings against Ben Westmore. Olivia has slowly built a reputation for getting the job done for her clients, with the professional athlete dead-beat soon-to-be ex-husband usually paying big time. Olivia is also a single, 36-year-old woman with a goal of becoming a mother, having a baby. Unfortunately, “her passion for her career as a top divorce attorney had left little time for her to have on the traditional way.” She feels that time is running out and she has not met her “Mr. Perfect”. So, Olivia is starting the process of having a family. While she lives in Denver, she travels to Glenwood Falls where the fertility treatment center is located.

What was predictable was that Ben and Olivia would be attracted to each other. After all, being attracted to your clients soon to be ex-husband certainly would be inconvenient (and a possible conflict of interest?). And speaking of inconvenient, this is NOT the time when Ben should be intrigued by a woman….he has a Stanley Cup to bring home after all. He does not need his focus elsewhere.

I do love the way Ben stepped up and wanted to be there for Olivia in her quest for a family of her own. Though I suspect, he would have rather worked through the process the traditional way as opposed to in-vitro. Ben buying a jersey was so sweet and of course, picking up the dress Olivia had purchased from Ben’s sister’s newly opened store and then delivering both to Olivia was so heartfelt.

There are many missteps throughout this budding, forbidden (for a time) relationship. Some hilarious and some very relatable. As Ben and Olivia work towards each other, I had hope that it would work out. I still believe that every good relationship is founded on trust and honesty. So when full disclosure is not forthcoming, you just know there will be a blip in the relationship. Hopefully they can work through it?

The cast of supporting characters are plentiful and not without their own quirky qualities that make you love them! I loved Ben’s mom, Beverly Westmore. She is definitely a pistol who speaks her own mind. The instant bond and camaraderie with Olivia at the fundraising dinner for the Colorado Center for Children was priceless.

When the relationship ran into difficulties, Ben pulled at my heartstrings while he was trying to win back Olivia:

“Please. Give me a chance to prove that I can be the person you believed I was and a good father to this child, a good husband to you.”

“You’re the first woman to be in here…but even if you weren’t, you’d still be far more beautiful than even my best dreams.” Her forehead wrinkled. “You’ve never had anyone else in here?” “No.” He and Janelle had shared one of the other bedrooms in the house, but not this one, not this bed. This was his bedroom, the one he’d moved into after Janelle left. And he’d never brought another woman back to his place before. It was too personal, too committal. Yet, he hadn’t thought twice about bringing Olivia there.”

In contrast to many romances I have read, this novel seemed to have added depth, which really added to my enjoyment of the book. And let us not forget the hunky hockey players…that never hurts as well!

Having now read and been captivated by Maybe This Love, in the Colorado Ice series by Jennifer Snow, I can hardly wait for the next book in the series, Maybe This Summer.

Ben Westmore has been a confirmed playboy bachelor for years. He is captain of the Colorado Avalanche and they are just about to start play offs for the Stanley Cup. He needs all of his focus to finally achieve this dream. But all of a sudden he is faced with some big distractions. He finds out that a recent trip to Vegas with a bit too much alcohol has left him in a vulnerable position and he needs a lawyer. And turns out the opposing counsel sparks reactions in him that he cannot deny. Big distractions he does not need.

Olivia Davis is a work-a-holic divorce attorney. She is driven, tough, untrusting, but has her own vulnerability and loneliness. She is making plans for her future that does not involve a man. But she cannot deny the fact that Ben Westmore is an attractive one. No matter how much of a player she thinks he is.

Their situation is messy and complicated. They alternate between dynamic banter that is antagonistic, flirty, humorous, and sweet. But for once, Ben is interested in the challenge and chase. And Olivia does her best at avoidance and guarding herself, but Ben can be persuasive when he sets a goal for himself. They have undeniable chemistry, but they are definitely distractions to each other's current goals. Not to mention the unprofessionalism of it all.

Ben is determined not to choke this time in the play offs, and surprisingly he is finding it just as important not to let her down. The longstanding commitment phobe does not seem to be as terrified when it comes to her. For once he can just be himself. But his reputation proceeds him and does not invoke trust. And there is a chance that being with Olivia could be even more commitment than he was ever planning on. She has her dreams. He has his. But could they co-exist?

This is an easy, funny, sweet, passionate love story that mixes up various popular romance tropes and mixes them all together. It has likable characters in a close knit community. I enjoyed more with his family Jackson and Abby, Becky and Neil, Asher, and his friend, Owen who is now the team mascot. And their mom is a scene stealer for sure. I love their interactions with each other and how close they all are. I really adored Ben. I loved his sense of humor, and seeing him grow and begin to look at life in a different way. And Olivia was a good match for him.

This one is about finding what you need when you least expect it, and believing in yourself and the other person. They both needed validation, and were afraid of rejection and hurt. But sometimes dreams can grow and change, and some things are worth the fight. But Ben has a big fight on his hands both for the cup and for the girl and the future he never thought he would want. I am looking forward to more in this series with Owen and Asher.

Maybe This Love, is the second full length title in the Colorado Ice Series, but can easily be read as a standalone. This was my first time reading anything written by Jennifer Snow, and it will not be my last.

Maybe This Love revolves around the budding relationship of Ben Westmore, an NHL hockey player and Olivia Davis, a successful divorce attorney. Ben is clear with an woman that he spends time with, not to have expectations, but one night of drinking leads to an error in judgement that will alter his future.

Olivia is a smart, strong, confident and driven and highly successful, career orientated woman.

The chemistry is intense between this pair, yet their connection is forbidden.

I adored the secondary characters of Ben's family, and look forward to his siblings finding their happy ever afters in future titles.

Overall this story is a heartwarming romance, with fun, flirty and playful banter. The twists and turns in the story line, made what could have been a predictable story line quite entertaining and engaging. I am quite a fan of a sports romance, in particular hockey themed romance, and will look forward to reading additional titles in this series.

Even though Maybe This Love is the second book in Jennifer Snow's Colorado Series, I read it without reading the first book. That being said, this is a great stand alone book. You won't have any trouble picking this book up and reading it without having read the first book, but the writing style and wonderful story will make you want to pick up the first book and read it too!

What happens when a hunky NHL player (Ben) meets a successful divorce attorney (Olivia)? Sparks fly from the moment they lay eyes on each other!! They try to fight it, especially since Olivia is representing the woman Ben spent a drunken Las Vegas night with and married, even though he can't remember most of the time he spent with her. Ben and Olivia seem to run into each other everywhere they go, and the flirting ensues. I love the stolen moments they share.

I loved the characters in this book. I got swept away in Ben and Olivia's journey. Ben's family adds a lot of fun to the story. His mom is hilarious and tells it like it is! His brothers and sister give him a hard time lovingly. It is the family most people dream of having.

I read this book in one sitting. I could not put it down! I plan to red the first book in the series and I look forward to many more books in this series! Great read! Highly recommend!

Maybe This Love is the second book in the Colorado Ice series but can be read as a standalone although the characters are interconnected. This book started off really strong for me and I loved the way that Ben and Olivia meet. Ben is the captain of the Colorado Avalanche hockey team and when he got really drunk in Vegas he ended up married. He doesn't remember it or the woman he married and wants a divorce as soon as possible. Olivia is a divorce attorney who is representing Ben's soon to be ex-wife and has a rule against dating athletes.

I loved the first time they meet in the parking lot and the instant attraction they both feel. It was different and although the chemistry is clearly there they are on opposing sides. Not to mention Ben is supposedly a player. This is where I started to have a few difficulties and maybe his "player" status is clearly defined in the first book which I didn't read but other than getting a lot of phone calls from various women we don't really ever see Ben as a player. Although the book tells us he is I never really felt it and so when the heroine had some major trust issues with him I didn't really sympathize with her or understand it.

I wish Olivia's character was a bit more fleshed out as well. She is written as a very successful and competent lawyer although within days of meeting Ben she makes some decisions that just boggle my mind as a professional. . She is also going through artificial insemination to have a baby but even Olivia isn't clear on why she is doing this so the reader is never clear on why. Is it because she lost her family at an early age and is trying to replace them? Is it because she is lonely? Or does she truly desire to have a baby? Even by the end of the book I wasn't sure. She has a very demanding job, no friends or family so having a baby with no support system seemed a bit odd for someone who is all about control and being safe (which I got from her character).

Although Olivia is 36 years old she sometimes make's some immature decisions and I just couldn't buy her being so upset towards the end. I did enjoy the hockey story line and the secondary characters especially Ben's mother. So while I enjoyed the story the questions I had with the characters that were never resolved has me giving this book 3 stars.

This was my first Jennifer Snow book and it won't be my last. I really like her style! I am so thankful to Netgalley for the ARC they gave me in exchange for my honest review.

Olivia & Ben had fantastic chemistry. This was a really fun story with a nice bit of originality in the storyline that set it apart from other romance books.

I enjoyed this story very much and look forward to the next book in the series.

"Maybe this Love" is written by Jennifer Snow, and it is the 2nd book in her Colorado Ice series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Ben Westmore and Olivia Davis.

I've read a lot of romance books over the years, but I found the premise of this book a little different. It's what caught my eye. Ben Westmore is a professional NHL player. He's the MVP, actually. Unfortunately, what happens in Vegas did not stay in Vegas. Ben very rarely gets drunk. But he found out his ex-girlfriend got engaged, so it drove him to drink one night. The problem is, he ended up getting married to someone he doesn't remember.

Enter Olivia Davis. She's a successful divorce lawyer, who is representing Ben's soon to be ex-wife. Olivia is in her mid-30s. She's at a point in her life now where she wants kids, and it seems no matter where she goes, she runs into Ben. She realizes Ben is a good guy. Always caring and loving to everyone he knows. She likes him. It's hard for her to represent her client now.

So will it become a conflict of interest for Olivia to represent Ben's soon to be ex-wife? What does Ben think when Olivia is trying to get pregnant by in vitro fertilization? Can Ben stay focused on the playoffs? Will he be able to bring a championship back home?

"Maybe this Love" is a wonderful story! I couldn't get enough of it, and I actually read it in 1 day! Olivia and Ben just fit. They supported each other, and of course, their chemistry was off the charts HOT! Really looking forward to reading the rest of this series!

I loved this book! I remembered the mention of Ben from book one and was hoping he was going to get his book. Of course I love just about any hockey romance book, but one that has an exceptional story to go with, as well as being original, makes me take more notice. Ben is a professional hockey player who never really sees himself settling down anytime soon. When a drunken night comes back to haunt him, the team wants him to lay low, especially being knee deep in the playoffs. But Ben never counted on meeting Olivia. Olivia is the divorce attorney representing his so called wife. What Olivia didn't count on was the unstoppable attraction between her and Ben. That would make this impossible right? Can these two still make it work? Grab this book to find out!
