What do Merlin the Sorcerer, druids, angels, and demons all have in common? They are all at odds in Joy Nash's new paranormal series The Nephilim. If you like your heroes brave and tormented, your heroines loving and self-sacrificing, and your villains nefarious, this is the book for you. Throw in a hilarious cupid, a horny angel, and a rather appealing demon of death and you have the makings of a book you can't put down. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormals with a twist or two ...more

Ms. Nash has been a favorite of mine ever since I read her book, The Awakening, and when I got the chance to review The Night Everything Fell Apart, I immediately jumped on it! I've read about a lot of different paranormal creatures in my day, but never about the Nephilim, so I was very excited to read something new and Ms. Nash did NOT disappoint! I'm not quite sure how to rate this. The writing was good, pacing good. I just... Never really cared about the main characters? Honestly I was more interested in Michael and Maweth than Arthur and Cybele. 3.5 stars.

Interesting world-building and characters, especially the archangels, who are not as angelic as we would think. Maweth and Fortunato, as characters and as their own subplot, are terrific. Enjoyable.

Hot tamale!! I received this book through Goodreads giveaway. My favorite books to read are based on romance, paranormal, and of course my ultimate favorite, Angels and Nephils. When I started reading this, I was instantly drawn in. I love Cybele and Arthur's relationship. Hot damn!! And Michael.... I am interested to see what will come of him! I was literally gripping my book at the end and checking to see how many pages I had left. There were times that I started laughing at some of the scenes ...more
