Paul Petty has created a world in which Edgar and his friends aren't just average high school students. It began as a fantasy of what would happen if Paul and his friends had powers in high school. Shadows of Light is only the first book in this series, but it has started the series off strong. Often not a reader of fantasy or "Chosen One" novels, I found Paul's book to be enjoyable. He had me flipping the pages and reading at any spare moment I had. You find yourself rooting for the high school students as they test out their new powers and life--but there is so much more to this whole world that they have yet to experience.

I cannot wait to see what else he does with the rest of the series. I promise you will not be disappointed! It's a journey you'll want to experience!

WONDERFUL BOOK! Great action and wonderful story line. Has the classy prophecy side to the story line and Drake Arkana reminds me so much of myself that its so hard to believe that he is based off of me. I loved this book so much it was in fact the first chapter book i had finished.

Paul E. Petty's Shadows of Light book is a very captivating story line it has its twists and turns but over all is a great book and i cant wait till the second one comes out. It should release in the next few months!!!!!
