Heartwarming Romance!!!

What a truly sweet read. It was a story of an innocent love blossoming into something more matured, intense and heartwarming. I enjoyed the storyline way too much. And Adaora's protective brothers made the story so real and rich. And the emotional connection between Ikenna and Adaora scaled every painful hurdle. A lovely story. I strongly recommend.
I love that Ikenna and Adaora's story is set in Lagos, Nigeria. The setting, food, and culture is a welcome addition to the romance. Adaora is still angry with Ikenna after he broke her heart 12 years ago. But Ikenna, now the famous music star, Aristar, needs to explain how Adaora's own family ran him off and the reason why. Awesome story!

A lovely second chance romance. Ikenna has gone from rags to riches, but has maintained his humility – this was a very appealing characteristic for him. Yet with all that he has accomplished he has not been able to get over his first love. I sigh with the sweetness of it. The sparks still fly between Adaora and Ikenna as their romantic adventure together continues after years of being apart.

Interesting story and plot, but there was a little something missing for me.

The main characters Adaora and Ikenna reunite after 12 long years of being apart, and they are both still crazy about each other. Adaora was 16, and had barely turned 17 when she first dated and was jilted by Ikenna. There were a lot and long narrated episodes of flashback, but I didn’t feel any romance between the characters at the time that would make them want each other so bad after 12 years of being apart.
