With bated breath I started to read this book.

Would Neely and Seth work out? I dreamt of this book - dreams of Neely finding Seth in a compromising position with a co star. Dreams of Seth realising Neely was the pap who screwed him over. The seed was sewn in Paparazzi. And right up to the last bit I was kept guessing.

I'm a sucker for a childhood sweethearts book, best friends to lovers, and the Evermore series gave me both.

Star F*cking mixed up the shape of the previous 3 instalments. No more back and forwards in time but instead some alternating POVs. In Seth's head we get an understanding of how deeply he loves Neely. And I love him all the more for knowing him a little better.

I never predicted where this book would take me, but I'm actually glad that I didn't guess.

I really enjoyed this series. Sweet, to sexy, to angst, to deep, deep love.

Shredded Heart

Oh my ever-loving-G! What in the world just happened there?! Friendly advice... do not read or listen to the last two chapters just before you have to join a work call. I was a blubbering idiot!

Neely and Seth work through many of their secrets after Seth realizes the biggest secret she kept at the end of the last installment. YAY! It's time for the HEA and wrap up, right? Maybe a nice, steamy epilogue? Nope. I did NOT see that turn coming but when it did, I was also devastated and in a state of disbelief. Be prepared to have your heart shattered! It reminded me of a Nicholas Sparks book where you get reeled in more and more before... BAM! Knocked on the head.

I enjoyed the narration by Rachelle Williams. I'm still feeling too raw to say more than that.

UPDATED 10/2022:
I did it to myself. I completely knew what to expect, having listened to this before, but that didn't stop me. I hate to love this series and pretend to love to hate it. Quite the conundrum, I tell you. 😉

This final installment starts strong with Seth and Neely beginning to heal from the secrets, misinformation, and misunderstandings that accumulated over the years. I love that they clear the air on so many things and start to create their forever.

I may not be happy about the twist but I won't deny that it's still a great book. 😭💔🤧

Star F*cking (Evermore #4) by Andrea Smith
4 stars!!!

This series has been like crack and each instalment has been even more eagerly anticipated than the last. Star F*cking is the conclusion to Neely and Seth’s story but would they get their happily ever after or was this Hollywood script destined for the can?

Neely and Seth’s relationship thus far has been far from plain sailing and with the tumultuous ups and downs that these two have already endured this book took a very welcome different pace. No more time jumps, just reconnection, truths, honesty and a whole dose of swoon, swoon and more swoon. Hollywood though is anything but predictable as does it seem is Andrea Smith. Kudos to Andrea Smith though for delivering the story that the characters determined, rather than a cookie cutter ending that readers have come to expect.

“Don’t play it down like that, you know what I’m talking about. We’ve had this chemistry since Day One and you fucking know it. It’s what’s between us. Luck has nothing to do with it because it only happens when we are in sync…”

This final book is a book of growth for both Neely and Seth. Forgetting the past and living for the current and future. Even though Neely and Seth spent most of this series apart, you never once belittled the connection that these two had. Time, circumstance and meddling individuals always kept them apart but deep down you always knew that these two were destined to be together.

As much as I would love to delve into the intricacies of this book, it would be a spoiler. This is an ending that you need to go into blind but remember, you have a choice! A great conclusion to this series and certainly unforgettable.

Finally we get to see where life took Neely and Seth.
Their journey wasn't an easy one, many personal and outside obstacles dampened their relationships through the years, but when two people really love each other and are meant to be, destiny has a way of bringing them together.

I loved their journey and how they understood and forgave each other for their mistakes. This last installment came with a little something I wasn't expecting at all. I liked that the author took the characters on that journey. I appreciated that she took her story down a different path.

The different installments of series were a quick read, well written, and one a reader would definitely enjoy.

A conclusion that I just never expected.....bravo Andrea Smith

Star F*cking, the fourth and final novella in Andrea Smith's Evermore Series, took me on one rollercoaster ride of emotion from the beginning to the end. The first three novellas were told with flashbacks to the past, so that the reader could understand the journey that they were being taken on. Thi one, however, was told from a dual POV, both Neely's and Seth's.

I am not going to give any of the plot away, because to do that would be to totally ruin the special ending that Andrea gives to this story. I have loved this Series from the very first minute that I picked up the first novella, Crushed. Sadly now Neely and Seth's story has come to an end, but what an ending we were given.

This final book was wonderful, it showed the full growth and developement that Neely and Seth had gone through since meeting as young children. Even though, throughout the first three books, Neely and Seth spent most of their time apart, it was obvious that the magnetic draw between them would pull them closer together. This final piece of their puzzle, was added to their story. The dual POV, gave me a more intricate look at the thoughts of Seth, which made me fall in love with him even more. These thoughts brought across just how much Seth loves Neely and for how long - it was a real eye opener.

Thank you Ms Smith, for given me, a reader such a beautiful story. One that made me laugh, cry, scream and rage - everything that I love finding in a book. A heartwrenching series that I will definitely read over many times.

FIVE STARS from this totally hooked reader.

Neely and Seth have had quite a journey together, fraught with misunderstandings, missed opportunities and crazy can't mind their own business family members. But, despite all the heartache these two really have grown up and have learned to communicate. Life isn't that simple though, and life never stops throwing obstacles in their way.

This was a much anticipated release for me. I have followed Neely and Seth's journey from the beginning and laughed, cried, and cringed at the ups and downs of their lives. In this last book everything seems to come together for Neely and Seth, it's almost too perfect, I kept waiting for the shoe to drop. I won't say I enjoyed the ending, but I did appreciate the story as a whole. Andrea Smith is a great writer and is one of the best at character development. Her stories never fail to grab my attention and they always stay with me.

This is the last book in the Evermore Series. When Andrea asked me to read this series I was happy to. I have read most of her books and they haven't dissapointed me. This one was the conclusion of Seth and Neely. I loved the way she brought in her other books, Love Plus One and Taz. I was glad that Neely and Seth found their way to a life together. The ending was a surprise. You will have to read it to find out why. Thanks Andrea for sharing Neely and Seth's life.

Not a HEA

Just a heads up that this book doesn't have a HEA. Some people may not like it because of that. I should have read more reviews to see if someone else mentioned this because I m not happy that I spent $6 buying all books for a sad ending. Not for me.

What an ending to a fantastic serial! Star F*cking (that book name is awesome, Andrea!) had a little bit of everything. We still get those hot sex scenes, but this time around, we also are rewarded with the more emotional aspect of Seth and Neely's relationship. I was happy to see the transformation from girlfriend/boyfriend to husband/wife and how their dynamics changed. Andrea is fabulous at the past to present jumps, but she is even better with her character development and descriptions that grab you by the heart and tug until you feel like you are a part of the characters and of their story.

I loved the H and h throughout this coming-of-age series. The emotional rollercoaster that Ms. Smith had us riding for the past few months, with all of her infamous cliffhangers, all came together for one VERY surprising and heartbreaking, but hopeful ending. You will laugh and you will most definitely cry. No spoiler alerts because you have to read it and experience it for yourself, but you do NOT want to miss this book.

I just couldn't wait for this one to come out, I just had to know how Neely and Seth's relationship would play out. After all the obstacles that came between them, from misunderstandings, other people interfering, and just plain old missed opportunities, they finally had the chance to grow up and learn to talk to each other. From the first book to the last I have followed Seth and Neely and loved every minute of it. From all the ups and downs I was so excited they were finally together. The ending is not what I was expecting, but putting that aside this was an amazing end to the series. I loved the whole series. Andrea has always the ability to draw you in and not let go until the end and this story is no different. She is a wonderful author and I love all of her work.

Star F*cked by Andrea Smith is the fourth and final book in the Evermore series. The books are not written as full length novels, but rather as novellas. Almost like episodes. This is a coming of age story, that tells about innocence and the loss of it. The book also deals well with emotions that a young woman would experience during this time in her life. Star F*cked is the conclusion of the series and much anticipated.
The relationship between Neely and Seth has been full of ups and downs. This story will make you cry, laugh, love, and swoon. Hollywood is never predicable and Andrea Smith has struck gold with this one. I don't enjoy endings I can predict and this was anything but.

Well this is the second time I've read this series and loved it!! First time through I don't remember having an alternative ending. This book is just so well written and the ending date had so much impact on so many lives. Loved them both.....hate to see the series end. I got so entwined in these two characters and storyline it was brilliantly done. So thank you Andrea for such a great fast paced awesome read.

Andrea Smith's book, "Star F*ucking," is the last in her Evermore series of books. I read the series from the first book, "Crushed," to this book, and it only improved. I was so happy to see how things progressed in this last installment.

After the tumultuous start to their relationship, Neely and Seth finally have their real beginning this time. I was so excited to see how things progressed throughout. I won't say any more because I don't want to ruin the ending, but Neely saw something coming. I bet she never saw that one. "Star F*cking" elicited several different emotions out of me.

This book didn't do the time jumping that the previous books did. The pace was perfect, and everything appeared to have settled and worked out. Life sure has a funny way of changing plans. Smith did a splendid job of showing how odd life can be and how fickle she is. I highly recommend reading this book. It was my favorite of this series. Smith did a fantastic job!

Speechless! I read this version of Star F*cking on KU. Little did I know that the incredibly fabulous Andrea Smith had two different endings!! She reached out to me and actually gave me the choice to read the other ending that I LOVED!!!!

This short and fast paced series was well written, and full of angst, and for me, a roller coaster of emotions. I actually cried 😢 as I read each book, it's such a captivating story line.

Seth and Neely have always loved each since their early teens. He was her first lover, first love. And even though throughout the series their paths always crossed, they didn't come together until this last beautiful, raw emotional book.
This story all their misunderstandings and secrets are exposed. I was so emotionally addicted to this series since book one! I loved this ending, an amazing conclusion to an emotionally beautiful story!!

This is the conclusion to the Evermore Series. I have to say Andrea Smith threw a surprise at the end and I did not see it coming. I was brought to tears. I did not get the ending I wanted, but to be honest I don't think it could have ended any other way. I still knocked off a star because I wanted a different ending. Sorry folks. Neely and Seth's journey from kids to adults and friends to lovers was fun. Andrea Smith did a good job of portraying their insecurities, frustrations and anger. Sometimes there was a little to much drama for my taste but that happens with young love. This series is not nearly as good as the G-Man Series.

Oh my, Nelly and Seth’s journey hasn’t been easy so I was anxious to see how this would unfurl for them. There is a lot that they both have to forgive and overcome after all the miscommunication of the past. I loved how they each had to dig within themselves to truly find the path they wanted to follow. Then they had to embrace forgiveness and rebuild trust for each other. Once again, my emotions were fully invested with their love story as I devoured each page.

Neely and Seth get a fresh start by talking everything out. Neely still has her self doubts, but she learns dwelling on their own past differences and mistakes will only hurt them both emotionally. Their life, love and trust is forever. As Seth told her, "It's always been you Neely, It's always been you."
Andrea Smith draws out all the emotions in this last story in this series. Wow What a conclusion to this amazing series that I didn't see coming.
Rachelle Williams is the perfect narrator for this series. She captured the voices and emotions of every character flawlessly. Absolute perfection.

As Seth And Neely's Emotional Second Chance Story Finally Winds Up Loose Ends, Everything Seems To Fall Into Place For The Couple, But They Don't Achieve The Typical HEA Ending.

This is the fourth book in the four part Evermore series. The first tells the story of the friendship between young Neely and her Malibu neighbor Seth when her family moves from Tennessee. The pair becomes best friends for years and finally transitions to boyfriend and girlfriend when she is fifteen and he is sixteen. Neely wants to be an artist and enjoys painting, and Seth wants to follow in his mother's footsteps to become an actor. But when her father's affair hits the tabloids, Neely's mother returns to Tennessee, taking Neely with her. The pair keeps in touch until she breaks up with him during her one and only visit before he leaves for college in New York. Seth had wanted more from her than she was ready to give, and when his mother shared her own concerns about Neely and the relationship, Neely knew it was best they not make promises.

In the second book, Neely has returned to Malibu two years later. Her mother is finally getting the help she needs for her alcoholism, so Neely is finishing high school in California. Living with her father's mistress-turned-wife proves to be a challenge, but Neely is a survivor and makes it work. She turns to her artwork again, the only thing that gives her purpose.

After using her new camera to take pictures on the beach on New Year's Eve, Neely tries but doesn't escape Seth's notice. She had heard his family was out of town and thought it was safe. An awkward exchange ends quickly, but when Seth shows up drunk later that evening, he doesn't seem interested in discussing the past.

Neely faces challenges both with her new stepmother and Seth. Neither can be trusted, and their motivations are not always clear. As she works through her dark times and discovers new facts, she leans on a new friend for support.

The third book opens one year following the epilogue of book two, when Neely appeased her stepmother and agreed to stand in for one scene as Seth's love interest on the show. Neely is now five weeks away from earning her associate degree and plans to quit school then work full time. Her friend Jazzy is the only person in her life, for the most part. Jazzy repeatedly tells Neely that she isn't living up to her full potential, and despite her deep wells of patience, Jazzy seems to be growing impatient with Neely's obsession with Seth Drake.

Neely had changed her major to Commercial Photography at the beginning of her second year. Painting had lost its meaning to her a year ago, when she had last seen Seth. She has been working part time for a Hollywoood PI, taking pictures of cheating spouses. She needs money, so eventually she gives in, accepting a good-paying job working for a tabloid. She has become a paparazzi, which she can hardly justify given her disdain for the profession. She continues to follow Seth via the tabloids, punishing herself for the awful way things ended one year ago.

As the story unfolds, Neely flashes back to episodes over the past two years, remembering everything that went so wrong with Seth. Seth's career and love life appear idyllic from afar. The contrast with her own sad and empty life is night and day, but she doesn't find it within herself to move on.

Midway through, Seth's POV is introduced to the series, and several chapters tell his story both now and in the past. He discusses what happened when Neely left him that summer, what he was thinking when he arrived at her house drunk, and what really happened the night of the bonfire on the beach. He tells what happened in rose garden, and sheds light on his love life since.

This emotional story finally begins to fill in the blanks, and tears will be shed before it concludes. At least one big secret remains between the couple, though. It will have you grabbing for the final book in the series to see if Seth Drake and Neely Evans finally get their happy ending.

In this final book in the series, Seth and Neely begin their friendship anew. They take their time to get to know one another again, and in the process all their secrets are revealed. But with Seth's career just taking off the young couple still faces challenges. They remain deeply in love and committed to the idea of making it work, but sometimes all the planning in the world can't stop life from happening and plans from falling apart. As Seth and Neely's emotional second chance story finally winds up loose ends, everything seems to fall into place for the couple, but they don't achieve the typical HEA ending.

The ending is a tear jerker. I hadn't been prepared for it and it didn't sit well with me. Although Seth and Neely's story is beautiful, it will leave you with a book hangover!

Seth and Neely's angsty story finally brings the childhood best friends together as old wounds begin to heal. The story is well-written. The plot is somewhat complex. The characters are carefully crafted. They feel genuine. The story is written in first person mostly from Neely's POV, with several in Seth's. I rate this book four stars.

Amazing Story & Narration🎧 Seth💘Neely 4Evermore!

Star F*cking
Evermore Series, Book 4
By: Andrea Smith
Narrated by: Rachelle Williams

Wow, Andrea Smith just blew my mind with this epic conclusion of her “Evermore Series” I’d say more but I do not want to spoil anything for anyone. I loved this series and the lead characters , all their drama, the angst, the heartfelt moments and the heartbreaking ones. Neely & Seth’s journey was not an easy one, they meet as teenagers, their friendship turns into love, but the universe had other plans for them but they finally make it back to each other. All the misunderstandings, the manipulations that kept them apart are just part of their history. They are finally in a good place and where they belong, together. Their love is a great love and it is for “evermore”. I highly recommend this series, each book is well written with interesting storylines that are enjoyable and entertaining, they will captivate you from start to end. Andrea Smith, thank you for this great series, the stunning ending, it has left me speechless.

I listened to the Audible edition, Rachelle Williams is a talented narrator and voice artist. She did an amazing job portraying the characters, giving each their own voice and personality and bringing them to life. You could hear how much heart she put into her work as she projects the character’s passion and emotions into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Title: Star F**king
Author: Andrea Smith
Format: Audio
Narrator: Rachelle Williams
Genre: YA/NA, second chance (kinda)
Standalone: Nope
Part of a Series: Book43 (of 4) in Evermore
POV: Neely and Seth
Steam Level: Some sexual content but not very graphic (or sexy)
3/5

In this final installment of the Evermore series Seth and Neely are finally back together and moving forward in their relationship. I got a giggle about the movie that Seth was given the main role in (and I enjoyed that book immensely, even going to so far to see the publication dates from that book and this book - that book was written before this one)

But the ending! Be prepared with tissue. If you though parts in book 3 (Paparazzi) were heart-breaking, it was nothing compare to this. Andrea Smith rips your heart out, stomps on it and laughs. If you want an HEA - this isn't it. When I figured out what was going to happened I almost stopped listening but then I didn't think Andrea Smith would do it. She did. I'm upset that I devoured all four books only for this series to end how it did. The epilogue kind of made up for the chapter before, but just barely, showing that there is a dim light at the end of the tunnel.

This is the 4th and final book within this series...and WOW I never expected it to end like that.
The conclusion to Neely and Seth's love story was so blissfully happy everything was falling into place.
I was happily listening and then WHAM !!!...Andrea Smith wrote the curve ball of all curve balls and sucker punched me..
I was heartbroken and cried like I have never cried before...This ending was so unexpected and it gutted me.
Narration as always by Rachelle Williams and Alexander Cendese were so perfect and I have no critism with their performances.
I cannot stop thinking about this book....Like life itself, things can be going so well and then it gives you situations and events to challenge you and turn your life upside down and inside out.
Neely certainly had a few of those.
One thing I have learned about Andrea Smith after listening to this book is that she is not afraid to write shocking events..whether the reader wants them or not...A very brave move Andrea...I certainly wished this had ended differently.
A very compelling gut wrenching epic romance..

Oh my what a wonderful, wonderful read, I loved Seth and Neely so much. I loved that they were finally in a place to get their happy ever after, I loved that Seth knew exactly what he wanted, and the fact that Neely too was happy. The fact that they faced their past and discussed their true feelings made my heart happy. I’ve followed these two from the beginning and I was rooting for them from the get-go. The story was a true romance, and the fact that Seth got an acting gig in the movie ‘Love Plus One’ (taken from the book), was the icing on the cake, what a clever and fun addition to the storyline. It made my day. I was sad that they had so much missed time together, and I still can’t forgive her mother for the things she did. I’m a crier, so I found some bits super emotional and shed more than a few tears. As usual the writing, story and characters are fantastic. Rachelle Williams narrates both Seth and Neely perfectly.

The 4th and final installment of Andrea Smith's Evermore series. I don't even know where to being. First - this entire series has captivated me from the beginning. I could not get enough of Neely and Seth. This book will not be what you expect - and while I loved it, I hated it too. The writing is so powerful in this series that I shed tears on more than one occasion and with this book I literally sobbed for Neely. How much pain should one person go thru in life before they are able to find a HEA. I completely fell in love all over again with the characters they grew to be...so much character growth and love. Performance was incredible as well the writting. I think I have a new favorite writer after this series...

Star F*cking, the fourth and final novella in the Evermore Series, is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. The characters are captivating, they are genuine, real, and relatable. Neely and Seth's relationship was fraught with obstacles and drama, but their love is destined. Andrea Smith has written a poignant and engaging saga about young teenage love growing to adulthood.

Rachelle Williams's narration is splendid, she captured Neely and Seth's connection and chemistry beautifully, bringing them to life. I enjoyed listening to this passionate journey and strongly recommend the Evermore Series. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
