After rushing to the altar and moving across the country, Harper Duquaine (or is it MacLaughlin, now?) is in uncharted territory. What once seemed like a promising opportunity to advance her husband’s career while giving her some much needed independence and adventure has proven to be a bust. By the time fall rolls around again, she’s back in a boring job by day and overst ...more

Whispering Stories
Nov 01, 2016 rated it it was amazing
Harper MacLaughlin together with her husband Brook and their cat Blitz, have moved to Seattle where Brook coaches college football. It’s a new life with fresh challenges, and changes for both of them. However, their fantasy football league remains a constant along with the other team members such as Gio, Wade, and JJ.

During a dinner at Brook’s boss’ house, Harper and Witney (another of the wives), get pushed into joining a new fantasy football league. The Real Coach’s Wives of Seattle is run by

Having read the first two books in the Queen of the League series, I was looking forward to catching up with Harper, to see what life had in store for her and her crew. One thing is for sure: it’s never a dull moment! Although Harper finds herself stuck in a job that she’s less than enthusiastic about, what’s going on in her personal life and other external conflicts really add to the chaos in her world. Particularly when one of

Football in the fall! One of the many reasons I love Three & Out and the whole Queen of the League series. But you don't have to be a football lover to enjoy these stories. You will fall in love with Harper and Brook, just like I did.

Each story in this series takes Harper and Brook further in their relationship. And we get to be there to watch them grow and mature, as they deepen their commitment to each other. Oh sure, they have their ups and downs, just like any other normal couple would b

Another book TOUCHDOWN for Laura Chapman! You can count on Harper to keep you entertained! I enjoyed the added bonus of the second fantasy football league and the coaches' wives club drama. What is crazy is that I could totally see this story coming to life - such realistic fiction that makes me enjoy the story even more! Can't wait to see what happens to Harper & Brook next!

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review.

I loved this book! I loved the series! To be honest I think I have a girl crush on the author! Well maybe not a crush but I definitely love her style. Author Laura Chapman never disappoints with her witty and charming style of writing that leaves you turning the pages with a smile on your face wondering what the Queen of the League will get into next. THREE & OUT turns out to be my favorite in the series with its funny yet emotional feel.

Harper and Brook find themselves newly married, newly

In Three & Out, the third book in the Queen of the League Series, author Laura Chapman weaves an entertaining chick lit / romantic comedy tale that continues the trials and tribulations of Harper Duquaine MacLaughlin, as she tries to balance daily life issues, work issues, and friendship issues, while delving into the third year of the competitive world of fantasy football leagues.

Author Laura Chapman takes her personal passion for fantasy football leagues and creates a hilarious chick lit /

Three & Out Recap: Team Chapman pens another winner!

I loved the continuation of Harper and Brook’s story. This novel finds them newly settled in Seattle after moving for Brook’s new coaching job. Things start off slow for Harper and as fantasy football seasons progresses, she finds that she’s got too much going on to handle it all. She continues to grow in her relationship with Brook, and although they have their drama and situations, they always work it out in the end. That’s part of what b

In Three & Out we continue to get to know Harper and her crazy football fantasy cohorts. We see Harper and her husband Brook as they moved across the country to follow Brook as he has a new position at the university as an assistant coach. Harper is just trying to find her way in this new city but as much as she wants to be the supportive wife she does miss her family and friends back home and to be quite honest isn't really feeling the fellow coaches wives. However, she takes them up on the ...more

Generally, I enjoyed this book. Three & Out caps off the Queen of the League Trilogy and ties all of the loose ends in a crowd-pleasing fashion.
Harper and Brook are starting their first year of marriage in Seattle (and of course, Blitz is there, too) and Brook is coaching for the Seattle State Sounds. Harper lacks a focused career, but her up and coming Team Stitches is certainly on the rise. Old friends intermix with new ones and Harper and Brook face various challenges as they try to accl

As with the rest of this series, this book is teaming (get it? TEAMING?) with wit, humor, and a heaping side of swoon. Brook and Harper are #relationshipgoals and the cast of secondary characters add plenty of fun and dimension to Brook and Harper's world. I admit to not being a huge football fan, but that didn't matter - I enjoyed the series anyway (and maybe even learned a little something). Laura Chapman is an author you can count on to deliver a great story and she did so yet again with THRE ...more

Another winner in the Queen of the League series

Great chick lit. Fun and sweet, with serious high drama. It's another hilarious, compelling read we've come to expect from this series. I sat up reading past midnight because I just had to find out what happened to Harper and Brook. Love this series!

It was nice reading one of Laura Chapman's books again. Fantasy football was a new topic for me, and I enjoyed reading and learning about it. I would have liked to get to know Whitney Reeves more through her friendship with Harper Duquaine. I got an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
